[Theme][WIP] NeonDroid V.40 [CM4.0.4] [UPDATED 09-09-09]

welcome to the exciting world of theme-ing i think one of the best places you can start with theme-ing is to modify someone elses work with their permission of course, then once you get comfortable there branch out into your own work. this is a great first theme keep it coming

i plan to make more changes to the app drawer, haven't decided if i want to change app icons yet. i'll post a poll and if people want app icons, i'll give em.

i think you should its the reason i love themes so much...the variety of the apps.

I love the look just for some reason not to much the launcher. I'm not hating because i love the green/black feel as some of those who went on my forum when it first started but great job!!!

Personally, i do not prefer app icons because third party apps mess up the look of it. The easiest thing to do to please but people that want them and people than don't, would be to make a seperate update.zip that just contained the apps with the changed icons. Stericson has a blank update.zip you can grab from somewhere (sorry can't remember link) that you can grab and just drop the modified .apk's into.

i feel the same way about icons. looks like people are wanting app icons, so thanks for that advice. i'll find that link.

please make in 4.1.1 this theme is so badass!

Custom Icons...
Although they look pretty sweet...unless all you have on your phone is stock apps, it doesn't look so good having custom icons mixed with non-custom. To top it off, having half your icons neon green, and half not, it would take away from the over-all essence of the theme. Just my opinion.

[Theme] Muse for CM 4.1.9999 [10-18]

First off, I would like to thank the following people
Stericson, JesusFreke, BrandenK, Sir*Mez, david1171, citizen-erased and anyone else who has inspired me (either explicitly or implicitly).
This theme came about from a personal request that was made to me by citizen-erased, I would have released this sooner, but haven't felt well for a while, but that is over for the most part now.
This theme is mainly a mash up of blur and pulse. I liked the red from blur and the pink from pulse, so well, i made them go together. There isn't really much that will change with this theme (except I will make some changes to reflect the band that it for some more, but this is the best that I got to right now.) unless some people have good ideas that either citizen-erased or I like (since this is really his theme, but he said I could release it if I felt like it, so that others could enjoy it.)
For the most part, the images in here were borrowed or from the blur and pulse ROMs. So its not exactly like I made a masterpiece for my first theme, but eh, here it is.

then download a blur rom or a blur theme, extract all of the red images that correspond to pressed from launcher.apk and framework-res.apk replace them in this theme, sign the file. flash it. there you go.

there is a link in the sticky to how to make a theme, then the second post has an autosign tool, that is all you need.

reading of the to-do log fail.
the 4.1.999 version of this works with 4.1.9999.

This theme is awesome! If I decided to switch back to 4.1.9999999999999 then I'm using this for sure. hah

I'm digging this for the most part. I'm not too fond of the pink, but I could get over it. I started work on a Muse theme a long time ago at the request of citizen-erased, but I got lost in the chaos of life and kinda dropped it. I'd be willing to send you some of my work, if you wanted.

[REQUEST] Orange ICS Theme

Would anyone be interested in creating an orange ICS theme?
Basically what I was hoping for was anywhere you see the blue/teal (3F9BBF) in ICS, I would like it changed to orange (ff8c00). I really like the ICS look and feel so I dont want any fancy graphics or anything, just the color change. I dont know how simple or complicated that may be, but I am not opposed to paying a reward for anyone's efforts.
As far as which ROM to theme... I have used and like ARHD. I am currently using Gummynex. But I am completely open to using whichever ROM. (as long as NFC is supported!)
If anyone else would be interested in this as well please post your support.

That is not bad, but I prefer not to use a launcher. Also I really dont want a themed icon pack, or themed widgets or anything. I like more of the subtle color change. IMO when everything is themed after a few days it becomes a little too much, and I end up reverting back.
Also I am really OCD, so when some icons are themed and other are not it drives me crazy. I know its pretty much impossible to theme every icon out there so I prefer to leave them unchanged.
I appreciate the help though, and I am sorry I dont mean to be so picky.

I would say more then likely you I'll have to wait until CM9 finishes or at least includes theme chooser. I am a big fan of orange themes too and orange octane has always been my favorite.

If I wasn't too busy on Black Exodus I would kindly take up the request. Maybe if noone else does it in a couple of days, I'll do it.

Well, I don't leave projects half done I wouldn't call myself a themer otherwise. Black Exodus is done, its more about porting to as many ROMs as possible.

The clock in the status bar is just about perfect. The wifi, signal, and battery icons are a little too light/yellow.

That is funny. I totally understand where you are coming from with some of the icons being themed and others not. You know what would be great? Having all the icons the ability to be removed and just the app name remain. That would be clean. But, the spacing between the names/words should adapt also. Because the space between app names should not be dependent on the width of an app icon. So if using just names we could fit more apps on any given screen. Being Android, I would suppose that feature does or can exist. I have yet to find it though. But, great call on the OCD. I will say this people think quitting smoking is hard? Try to just let something go that we view in our eyes as not absolutly done. Though to most other it would be just fine. LOL!!

lol I thought I was the only one that didn't like themed icons.
I am pretty sure there is an app in the market that will let you make simple text icons though.
I wasn't sure how much support this idea would get. hopefully this will come to fruition!

I too can't handle a half themed job, especially for icons.

[Go Launcher Ex Theme+Widgets] Phone Candy

Ive created a Go Launcher Ex + Widgets theme using "gothemesfactory_beta", "GOWidget_Template_V1.0" and based it around the "Transparency" theme and thought id give them their own thread as there is A LOT of screenshots:
I made these to compliment my Phone Candy theme but anyone can use it if they like it.

*Place on SD Card and navigate to "Go Widget Phone Candy.apk"
*Click "Go Widget Phone Candy.apk" and follow the prompts to install
*Add and choose GoWidget to screen
*Choose "Phone_Candy" from the bottom/left and "add to screen"

*Press and hold existing widget
*From the pop-up select "Themes"
*Choose "Phone_Candy" and "Apply"

This was more difficult to put together than a normal theme so im happy 8 people so far like it......although im guessing the hundreds of other people who have also download it dont.

Is it possible to ditch the round corners of the widgets in a future release or a different version? Or is that a feature of the widgets?

No problem glad you like it.
To change the corner radius on all the widgets would require A LOT of work as there are probably over 100 png's that have been custom made with a 5 pixel radius, and honestly im not prepared to use my spare time for something so minor.
If i done this full time i might consider it, but i only do this part time as a hobby to keep myself entertained.
So unfortunately the answer is no..... unless i win the lottery tonight and quit work, and leave my girlfriend.

Hey Dully good to see you're still around. I've been away from XDA for a while with RL stuff. Have you tried any of the ICS roms yet? I flashed phone candy on Omega's ROM and it still mostly worked. Still haven't found anything that tops your work! Did you ever get a new computer? Hope everything is great on your end! Sadly I don't use GO Launcher... always been more of an ADW guy for the launcher. I may have to give TFS a try when it's been out for a while longer. Interesting concept if you haven't checked it out. Thanks for the great work as always!

IMO Go launcher is just as quick and far more customizable.
I was a launcher pro user for over a year but its a dead project now, it never gets updated whilst other launchers are constantly and consistently moving forward

That exactly what have been search for too! an inverted stock email would be AWESOME!!

So, I was finally able to flash and play with this. Been looking around all morning. No bugs or glitches! I only found one small themed part that was missed.
Because of the framework background being black on the top 1/2 of the screen, black letters won't show up. In the settings of messaging app is the only place I found this. Everywhere else it's white or gray. So, it's not a big deal. But if/when you put out a new rev, it's something you can change. I don't think that it warrants a new release just fot this. But that's just my opinion.

What up bro! man can't wait to see what goods you got in your bag of tricks! I know you got some dope stuff just itchin to be released! Your one of the reasons I started theming bro so I can't wait to see what you got in store.. If you need to use my base by all means there's no reason to invert everything from scratch. My lights out is a great base. But either way bro it's up to you

Ya I did notice this as well... I will have to recompile and see or shall I say search for what xml I missed and fix it. Pain in the ass! But needs to be done. I hate the settings text in MMS it's always been a issue with me to find! Lol.

Getting ready to release the final version of this theme gonna be called "END OF DAYS." It's gonna be a lot of work to bring it to this variant because most of the changes are xml so before I do I thought I'd throw this out there and see if there is any interest in it on your guys variant and if there is I will bring it over.

Hello, I found your wonderful theme, however I can not make it work I tell you I have a grade 3 route with custom rom bobcatrom evo 3.0 after installing your Theme My phone gets stuck on the boot logo can help you thx

I flashed this on top of my current rom without issue. Will try on fresh install too.

Well I have actually updated this one but only for the tmobile variant but give me a few days and I'll push out a update with some more themed apks. What did you have in mind? Let me know and I'll find time to get it done. I'm glad that you like it tho!

Maybe I worded that a little wrong. I just meant themed for the app icons. You have a few of the main app icons themed. I am sure it is a lot of work. Maybe I should just look on the play store for icon packs that are similar.
One thing that would definitely be nice is if you could theme the toggles to match. I downloaded something that kind of works/matches, but its still not the same.
I have been messing around with 5 different roms and various things for this verizon phone. gave my t-mobile note 3 to my son. Been busy so I have not checked everything out with your theme.
I am really happy with how you themed the messenger and phone, Its awesome:good:
I honestly do not use a lot of apps. Mainly: phone, messaging, internet, calculator. Main concern was icons, sorry for any confusion.
A themed calculator would be sweet now that I think of it, but not an issue.
I think themed toggles and icon pack is mainly what I am currently after. Definitely appreciate you responding back. Keep up the great work!!!
