Got ICS 4.0.3, some apps won't move - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello
i have ICS 4.0.3 on my LT15i, works like a charm.
some tiny problems i faced:
1- some apps won't move to sd card, titanium back up is not helping.
2- ExmoR is not working, I geuss it is not implemented in the Beta version.
3- when i connect to PC to charge, it connects sd card right away, i couldn't find a setting for it.

Exmor R is hardware, not software.
Sent from my iPad 2 using Tapatalk

the only setting are media transfer(by default) and mass storage,no charge-only
from my I.See.Ass for ARC

all that software that you are looking for is implemented in a driver. you won't see seperate software for drivers.

Very good idea, but totaly useless, at least in this version. Constantly asking for permissions to connect to phone.
I'm on JPU 2.2.1 rooted with CF
It didn't ask me anything (Chrome) and it works like a charm!
edit: it asked me once.
@Spline1: Samsung apps within your phone!
edit: works fine on XXJPX stock. It asked me once (chrome).

JPP stock, every move of the mouse on computer and phone ask for permission to connect, although "remember for today" checked. As I said: good idea, but useless for now. Probably in future firmwares...
Like it, permission asked onetime, browser firefox 3.6.9, newest java (u will need java runtime)

Slick app!!! Only asked for permission once here (Chrome + JPU).
A little bit slow to load everything, but I assume that's either my network speed or PC speed (it's a dinosaur)
It does so much! If It synced everything to the PC that would be better though...
Could someone provide .apk please? Whether it´s possible
Thanks

It is much slower than the usb connection but it is tolerable (I'm using wifi N but I'm not sure if this makes any difference) and I like the interface, I mean the whole layout + you don't have to usb connect to your computer and partialy charge the phone or loose the battery stats .

Is it possible to update firmware with kies air?
btw: for this forum, i would suggest having only about 3-4 posts per page. Additionally, why not increase the size of avatars, buttons and signatures. Seriously, the amount of information on this forum (in terms of screen size) compared to the useless rubbish is appaling.

[Q] [GB] Bluetooth discoverable

How to make Bluetooth permanently discoverable for Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
I am using Stock Xperia Pro GB .69 with root access.
I'm not sure about GB but on ICS and JB there is a visibility timeout setting in a bluetooth settings screen. Go there and push a menu button.
Not possible due to security reasons.

Just because one phone manufacturer added it to its firmware, does not mean it is available on all phones.
Sony phones do not have such feature and most likely it will not be added due to security reasons.
Come on, you do not want someone to be hacking your phone via Bluetooth without your knowledge, do you?

What are security reasons, It is already available in ICS and JB. Is there no security? And there is option to switch off the Bluetooth, so when needed I can switch off that, no need to make mobile discovery off.
If you don't know the solution, then stop giving this type of answers.

Well a noob can hack to your or my phone via bluetooth,it's very easy, one click, and how many times did you forgot to turn it off???I was looking for something like this once, but when my friend got hacked i stopped...Thats the security and i don't think that Stock ICS has a turn visibility on for perment.Bit i'm sure its impossible to get it on GB...

[Q] Xperia NXT v.v1.3 HID Support

Hi everyone !
i wish to know if sobody know if this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649368
Xperia NXT v1.3 Supports HID Devices...
i own an Nokia Su-8w Keyboard and using Cyanogenmod 9.1 but its very unstable to me to rely on to colege... so i wish to know if this rom supports it or if there is an software to use it, ive tried: Bluez IME, and Keyboard Easy Connect, but the first doesn't has support to many of the Keys, and the other uses superuser and keeps popping out with the info that the SU has given permissions and that stuf, realy annoying.
thanks, to anyone who reads and reply !
As far as I know the xperia play doesnt support hid devices. I can confirm bluetooth does work with the xperia play btw. HID is a hardware issue not software.

well in fact isn't a hardware problem 'cause i've been using it in cyanogenmod 9.1 and it work in native way without any piece of additional software, and in stock rom either .47 .58 .62 with BluezIME and or Bluetooth Keyboard easy connect, but they doesn't work so well as the native cyanogenmod 9.1 does.

System Tuner Question

Hello guys I want to ask you something, my xperia S keep stuttering when playing music and doing other things(JB is way better than ICS,but still) not much as of now, but i want to know what cause it(since no one seems to know).
Using system tuner i can keep track of everything that happen in my phone, right?in the log what should I search for to know what or who cause this?someone knows???
thanks for the help
cheers
Dave
It's only leak... Stop making new unnecessary thread and wait for FULLY working OFFICIAL fw. Official fw shouldn't have this issue.

Should be caused by switching to low frequencies.
Anyway It hadn't happened since I flashed JB leak
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Uhmm are you sure? I noticed through syatem tuner that the phone does it at high freq (when both of cpu are working)but gave me a moltitude of "errors"in the log so i can't really say what cause this.
You have no stuttering of music when loading fb? Twitter? Chrome??? If it's low. Cpu freq why my phone does it and yours doesn't?
The stutter, as i said,it's not terrible but there is in fact stuttering.
Another thing is, it never does it twice on the same situation, it's almost always when opening something for the first time.
Anyway thanks for the feedback!!

I'm not whining about the leak,I asked if through system tuner i can monitor when and why the stuttering happen and how can i identify it.
Lastly i've had this stuttering since the beginning and in every rom i tried so excuse me if i'm this curious.

RE:JB LEAK
I am having the Same issue , its just the JB leak being slightly Unstable , its probably Audio Libary issue and wont be fixxed unless you some how have the JB source and know the problem exactly, or you could just wait till JB is actually released
anyway , System tuner is a memory heavy app , make sure your systCTL is setup for more free Ram, it should lower the amount of times it skips(maybe 1 time then none more)

the problem isn't strictly with JB and i know this is only a leak thing is i'm having this issue on every rom i try(stock .55,pac,CM and now JB)
that's why i tried to use system tuner to discover the issue
dave
Try this
how about this
Unlock your bootloader
Flash Stock Kernel/ROM , data/cache/dalvik
and EVEN then if it still happens then its your XS not the Firmware , it could be the audio jack or any thing dealing with the audio. i dont think you can fix it besides cleaning out the dust from your XS and seeing then... you never know

that's the first thing I did when having the problem,i was still on stock so I used PCC to repair the O.S.
I did this at least 4 times since i bought it(6 months now),changed kernel, rom wiped everything and back to stock (.55) but the problem was/is still here.
we are almost at the end of may so JB will arrive soon,so i will relock my BL and reflash stock soon(i might do it today).
I tried different head set, headphones, listening to music using the speakers nothing change.
anyway once again thanks for the feedback and the help.

WiFi Direct have not hardware limitations, it limited only by sertification of devices. And Xperia S is not sertificated only because of Sony. I currently investigating how to port and enable WiFi Direct and screen mirriring for Xperia S for month. The problem is that qualcomm has not released wifi drivers with p2p functionality for S3 processor which we have. BUT on test firmware of HTC Sensation WiFi Direct seen working, and i currently searching for files in that ROM which i must copy. If anyone could help - try to find what files, drivers, libs etc. are needed to setup this features.
Sorry for bad English - i am from Ukraine

Why do you think so? If WiFi Direct have no such limitations, and Screen Mirroring which working over WiFi Direct, why it should have such limitations. It is open source technologies, but it is very strange open source - i couldn't find any sources on the web. So it's up to us to find how it work.
I investigated that there is only one device in the world wits Snapdragon S3 8260 which have WiFi Direct in official firmware - it is Asus Eee Pad MEmO 171. i have it's firmware, but it is in raw disk image formate and it didn't opening in any utility. Could someone help? link to firmware 625 Mb
