Am I the only one where the GPS symbol animation didn’t work proper?
I would expect a blinking GPS symbol in the status bar till GPS is locked.
The strange thing is, if I start an app using GPS, I will get a static symbol in status bar…. If I connect the device to my pc via usb, the symbol starts blinking till GPS is locked. It only works in this strange way for me, the GPS acquiring must already be started and then connect usb to pc. If usb is already connect before starting GPS… it will not work. Can anybody confirm this behavior?
I hope you guys understand what I mean

For me when acquiring GPS signal it is static with no center dot. Once acquired it is static with a center dot.
I'm on AOKP.

hi dennis,
same for me on a deodexed stock 4.0.2.
i checked the xml files in systemui. the xml for gps animation is there! It should toggle the 2 symbols until gps is locked.
can you try the trick with usb connection please? But you must start gps before you connect to usb...
Static icon with no center till locked, then center fills in.
Stock 4.0.2 GSM.
For me it varies, sometimes static whole connecting which makes me think it isn't connecting and sometimes it blinks.

My wifi stopped working today but it worked perfectly before. I also have usb brick but that doesn't matter, right?
Today I was at home, wifi was turned on , then i turned it off and gone to my friend, there i noticed i have only 25% battery left, so I plugged it to her computer via USB and left it for 3 hours. I have returned home , as usual turned wifi ON, it take about minute to turn it on, then it searched for Wi-Fi networks and then... "Application Settings is not responding." if i click wait it says "Unable to search for networks"
huh? is it just because charging in that computer?
No it isn't normal. Something has corrupted your phone big time. What rom have you got?
Cyanogen 6.1.1
Search xda to fix the usb brick then flash a stock Rom.

So I am not the only one this is happening to.
I have the Telus variant of this phone, stock. Talking to their tech support, they would have you believe that this is only happening to you.
When phone is first turned on, bluetooth works fine for trip into work. I turn bluetooth off when I get to work and leave the phone on for the day.
I turn bluetooth back on when leaving work and it is intermittent weather it will connect or not. If you go to the bluetooth screen and tap to turn on bluetooth, it shows "turning on..." but does not turn on, no check mark in the check box. After about 30 seconds it stops trying.
At other times it shows it is on and connected to my speaker-phone. When I get an incoming call, the phone will ring instead of the speaker-phone. If you try to answer using the phone you get nothing because it is connected to the speaker-phone but not transmitting.
I am on my 3rd bluetooth speaker-phone, 2 blueant S4's and a Jabra freeway. I have had connection issues with all devices.
I have sent my phone into Telus repair twice and they did a factory flash the first time. The second time I was given a refurbished S2X. The problem is still there even on the replacement device.
The connection issues don't seem to have any consistency factors, ie after running a certain app and it is hard to recreate for Telus staff at store when trying to show the problem.
Lately if you try multiple times to turn on bluetooth when the connection issue is happening, the phone will lock up and turn itself off. At this point I have to remove and re-install the battery or the phone won't turn on.
We have a hands free driving law in Ontario so I need bluetooth to work.
I hope Telus and Samsung can get their heads together to sort this out. I am really starting to get frustrated with this problem.
Got a problem with internet pass through option. It's keep disconecting me all the time. To reproduce this slide down notification bar. When you do this you can hear usb disconnect sound in windows. Slide up and popup will show when you can choose connection mode. Does anybody have same issue?
Hmm after rebooting phone twice, the problem has gone :/ It happened only after installation. Now I don't know if this is an issue or not but it's working ok now.
Hi Guys,
I am using Black Bean 3.0.9 on my rooted Galaxy Nexus.
When I connect my phone to usb for charging, I can see the signal bar and the signal are up but when a call comes in and I recieve it, I see a cross next to my signal bar and they are dead all of a sudden. They then come back after a few seconds?
Any ideas? Switching on and off the debugging mode doesn't make a difference.
Thanks!
I have a OnePlus 7t, new to me, it's an unlocked T-Mobile branded phone being used on Verizon. The Bluetooth symbol shows all the time. It's on if I'm connected to a device and it's on when I'm not. Is this normal? I know I can turn off the symbol. I have looked all over the net and most of the problems are the opposite. Most people don't have a Bluetooth symbol and they want one.
Update: I've cleared the Bluetooth cache. No Change just lost all my connected devices. I don't have any problems connecting to all my devices. It' just the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right hand corner is on all the time.
I went into developers options and checked running apps. Under Bluetooth it said 1 process and 6 services running. I stopped them all and they started right back up again. Why would I have 6 running services with nothing attached?
I'm sure it has something to due with that 1 process. ??? Which is what?
I know this is not a major problem but it just bugs me.
Thanks for any help
Mike
Is the Bluetooth symbol lit when Bluetooth is toggled off? It's supposed to stay on when Bluetooth is turned on even if you aren't connected to anything.
The Bluetooth symbol is off when turned off. Its on when turned on with nothing attached (headphones, Bluetooth speaker, etc.) You're saying the Bluetooth symbol will always be lit if Bluetooth is on even if nothing is attached. All my other phones were never like that. If Bluetooth was on then symbol would appear. When disconnected the symbol would disappear. This is my first Oneplus 7T phone, maybe I'm looking at this all wrong. If you're sure then I have nothing wrong.
thanks
Sorry, you're right. My mistake I was thinking of the pull down. The Bluetooth symbol at the very top shouldn't be on unless you're connected.
Does that light go off when you toggle Bluetooth off?
Yes, it goes off when turned off.
I show the same running services when not connected.
Turn bluetooth on, go to System>reset options>Reset Wi-Fi, mobile, and bluetooth, reset everything, restart your phone.
This will clear and erase ALL of your connections!
Your mobile connections should rebuild themselves, but you might need to re-enter the APN info so write all of that down first.
You will lose all of your stored wi-fi networks and all of your paired Bluetooth!
This should clear out if Bluetooth “thinks” it's still connected to a device.
Thanks, I tried this in the past and again. Same thing, nothing connected to Bluetooth. Symbol shows on the Home screen.
I have opened a case with OnePlus and this was their first suggestion. I reported back to them, but have not heard from them since then.
Thanks
Good luck with it
Here's the OnePlus 7T support forum (not the community one). Worth a try.

Thanks, hopefully OnePlus will continue to get back to me. I installed a small app to turn Bluetooth on and off on the home screen. If it comes down to it, I can live with it.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions

I also have a T-Mobile 7T, and when Bluetooth is on with NO devices connected, it shows the Bluetooth symbol in the notification area. If it's connected, then 2 small arrows next to each side (similar to <B>) appear.
I guess this is by design. Check page 28 of the 7T manual in this link:
https://oneplussupport.s3.amazonaws.com/7T+用户手册/OnePlus+7T+User+Manual+EN.pdf
I just had a chat with OnePlus. He confirmed that the Bluetooth symbol when turned on in settings connected or not will always show in the upper right hand corner.
Thanks for your help
