there is
can some help with installing htc evo diag drivers on windows 7 64 bit
please im going nuts lmao
Read the rooting instructions.
1) Install the Android SDK. There's drivers in the sdk/usbdrivers folder.
2) Install HTC Sync. It'll automatically install any other drivers you need.
Really, is it that hard to read?

You have to put the phone in diag mode (##diag#) and then use control panel to hand pick the drivers for it, for some reason it doesn't recognize them
Ok, I have the evo in ##3424# and on a 32-bit Win7 it works fine. When I try to install the drivers on a Win 64-bit machine it doesn't find any suitable driver.
Does anybody have the 64-bit DIAG drivers for Evo that work?

All I get is a "Android USB DEVICES" listing under device manager, umbrella-d under that is "My HTC." I can't install these drivers at all. Windows 7 64 bit here if that makes any difference. PLEASE HELP!?
Anyone know where to find Diag Drivers for window 7 64 bit computer not noticing the phone!!??
Make sure you've unzipped the files. This tripped me up for a second!
is it me only or HTC diag 64bit-win7 dont recognise in my computer...
same problem here to bro no go for me either i get the my htc under android devices thats it but it will not let me add the drivers and that means i can not use QXDM or QPST ??? PLEASE ADVISE thanks
Once you download the drivers create a new folder and rename it. Then extract the files from the zip to the folder you created then go to your managed devices and manually update hope this works for you

Where can I find the latest usb drivers for this phone?
My phone isn't listed when I do the adb devices cmd. I assume it's because I'm missing the drivers. I got the usb_driver.zip from the xda wiki for this phone, but there is no installation, just a bunch of random files...and inf and a bunch of dlls.
So if you know, please tell me and don't tell me to use the search function as I've already tried that and Google.
if you have the usb_driver.zip, just unzip it
plug it your device, and open device manager
try to look for device with a ! next to it
the name should be something "ADB" or something similar
right click and choose update driver
you should have the option to select the folder that you unzipped at the begining

Thanks!! Got it
The best place to get the drivers IMHO is via installing the free HTC Sync software from HTC's website. See the "adb for noobs" guide in the dev forum.

I tried setting up ADB on my Ubuntu 10.04 box at work, and still have not been able to get it working for some reason. Is here a good guide that goes into detail about it? I believe I saw one here at XDA, and even after performing all the detailed steps I still couldn't get it to work.
While I want to downgrade my Desire HD which is 2.2.1, I follow tutorials! Most ppl state they can access their phone during "charge only" mode in cmd! BUT I really can't!
In the cmd, I typed C:, then it prompt me: device is not ready!
I re-installed the HTC Sync, got the latest update.
I installed the Android SDK Manager, got all updated.
I installed JAVA SE...
All can't help...I really need help here...I have been working on it for hours *crying*
Is USB Debugging enabled in your phone?
Are you sure you got the Android USB driver correct installed, this was my problem when I was trying to do the same.
It ended up with that I because I'm running win7 64 bit had to modify the driver, and manually move som files to get it to work. Check that you Android phone pops up in device management when you connect it.
I'm new to this my self, and others may have others sollution. But I was stuck at this my self for a couple of days before I got it working with help of massive google searches about the subject
Dear All, yes...I am sure sure and sure my usb debugging is enabled...
I am using Windows 7 too...I wish someone can give me some advice that can solve my situation right now...

Packaged the drivers for the ASUS TF300T from the ASUS Pad PC Suite so you dont have to install it. When you plug in your tablet and it asks for drivers, point it to the respected directory.

Do i simply download the file, and keep it on my desktop until im ready to point it to the directory?
Thanks for the drivers. I just bought my TF300 yesterday and getting root and everything in place. Didn't want to install any Asus software to do it though. I'm surprised this little package isn't more prominent throughout these forums.

Extract the contents of the zip to a folder. Go to device manager (assuming you're on windows), right click "ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface", update driver, and point it to that folder.

This is really great.
Made the mistake of installing the Asus PC suite, what a lot of crappy programs.
Hard to remove, especially Splahtop and after removal your Windows register is still full of **** from Asus and splashtop.
Removed it completely, will use the loose USB drivers instead on PC & Laptop now.
Great.

can't get this installed on WIn7 x64....when in fastboot it says USB device not recognized.

i've tried that too... followed each n every step perfectly but it didnt work, i wasn't able to connect it to pc..... any other options???
What operating system on pc? You may need to unistall current drivers then reinstall the right one when connected, make sure debugging is turned on on the phone. You can also get drivers by installing pdanet, are you manually installing the drivers or letting windows do it? If you have windows can you dual boot a linux distro, no drivers needed then
Not to be rude but if you followed the guides to a t then all should be well

Chances are windows picks the wrong drivers no matter what you have downloaded. Not a pc right now so a walk through may not be accurate. But first download drivers from cyanogen wiki, xda wiki, or strawetals pdf guide. Just google search those and you'll find them. Know where they are downloaded to.
Now click start (windows circle) rightclick on computer, go to properties. Choose device manager and plug in phone while it is powered on, se what pops up as drivers. Right click on the driver and choose update, manual, browse to where you installed the drivers. Do the same with phone in bootloader mode.
Also make sure to have phone in debugging mode
There is also a windows program called usbdeview (or something like that) that will show you all drivers installed, here you can uninstall the wrong ones

y do u need htc sync again ????
if ur expecting tht u connect ur phone to d htc sync nd it will gift u with official ICS ,, then ur wrong !! there aint no official update !
>if u have htc sync installed + Android SDK .... go to cmd (run as admin) ,, make platform-tools as ur directory (inside SDK with cmd) & simply type * adb devices *
It will most probably show u ur phones serial number !!
after that follow cyanogen.wiki root method & install ICS Rom !!
Also , if ur already on a different custom ROM , HTC Sync willl NOT recognize ur device !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
