[MOD] new browser mod - set font size [updated 201111020139HKT - RC1]

for me, this mod is very useful, especially when u are surfing pages with lots of columns/rows or tables like many forums, and for stock tickers with tiny fonts, etc

- tested on "my modded KI8" without problem
- since i have other modifications to my rom and kernel, it's POSSIBLE that IT MAY NOT run properly on yours

and i chose ki3 for compatibility and it should run on more rom since ki8's may not backward compatible

Working on Cognition 1.5.1 (based on KH3). Thanks, this is a great mod!
One tip for users is to also experiment with the "Default Zoom" setting to find a good combination of text size / zoom setting.
ykk_five, can you let us know how the mod works and what you changed to the smali files? Would be great for investigating some more browser hacking.

thx mates. i think it's running without problems then, coz what i worried is, mine is ki8 but this is a ki3, and i've removed something from my ki8's rom which i thought they might be a problem. glad to know it's OK now

Works nice with revolution HD 2.0 but there is some bug when you set to medium or large.

IMO if u want the real supercharge, don't combine it. And all of the script would be better if you don't combine it too.

yup. just make sure you don't have 2 or more scrips conflicting with each other

Hey, i actually using CM 9 Beta 3 with the Geeky Engine... can i put some other script to make it run faster? One who doesn't make conflict with the another..

How can I know if the script conflicted or not? If it conflicted what will happen to my device? Is it going to boot stuck?

You can use adrenaline boost. Delete boost file from /system/bin to uninstall. How to use adrenaline boost?? Visit original thread

It is a guide to enable init.d on stock rom, or even stock kernel. Maybe someone need it, and it is very easy.
And for information, "post_boot.sh" mention in that thread is init.qcom.post_boot.sh in our device.

it just becomes a bit laggy or the scripts may seem not working/having no effects. easier if you compare the scripts and find for the same command line ex: read_ahead_value = 2048 other scripts may have same line with 4096 value

I use cm 10 but sometimes I feel lag on my phone, such as unlocking and sliding menu, I've tried to use "cm adrenaline engine 4.4" but the result is less than the maximum,

try overclocking, change governor to smartassv2, v6 supercharger
or look for a better phone.....

use swap ... the problem is ram ... ace ram is low to handle jb

use v6 supercharger , it really makes ur rom much much better ....... and it also seem to increase multitasking ....... GET IT HERE :-

i just reinstall cm10 lite2,some setting in performance :
zRam in 26%,and click allow purging of assets
CPU governor use SMARTASSV2 thanks for limxyz
and install supercharger V6 thanks for limxyz
I just ordinary users and not developers, do not follow me if you feel less confident

NOTE!!! IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ!!! :
If you already a cm9 user, just wipe cache and dalvik cache before flash this rom (DONT WIPE DATA)
If you not a cm9 user, just follow the steps "How To Install" below.
WHEN YOU JUST DONE YOUR FIRST INSTALLATION , AND YOU GOT YOUR STATUS BAR BLANK, JUST REBOOT/RESTART YOUR PHONE. THIS SOMETIMES HAPPEN ON THE FIRST INSTALLATION OF V3.
If you want to play games, open terminal emulator, and write "su" [enter], and "hardy" [enter] , and then exit.

The thread must be bit better apropriate like credit goes to,if you used someone mods,or kernel,please revert it to them for the source,busy is not an option for not mention people who get involved.

I doubt anyone will leave the phone without using it for a long time to make a screenshot with the max he can get. In my example I would have to leave my phone for over one week untouched to make you a screenshot with the max I can get by using my personal kernel. However I´m using a different release and as said my personal kernel, so can just tell you it´s at 70% after two days by making some calls and having wifi and mobile data disabled most of the time.
So best you can get is a screenshot with decent using for a period of time, so you can compare with other screenshots and doing some calculations about the draining ratio. Or you can use battery monitor widget and compare the results yourself.
If I were you, I would try the rom and see yourself because every rom and kernel is acting different for everyone.

Sorry for the status bar bug in v1. I dont know why, it works in my galaxy w with no bug. Letme fix it.
