The HBOOT version is listed directly on the file. The recovery is stock so it's version is irrelevant - the only thing it's for is processing OTAs anyway. If you're in here, you likely have a custom recovery, so it doesn't matter. The radio version is part of the RUU name, as is the software & NV versions.
Perhaps that's why no one has responded?
For example, the latest stock RUU is named:
RUU_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.67.651.3_Radio_2.15.00.12.19_NV_2.33_release_234563_signed.exe
From that we can see
Software Number: 4.67.651.3
Radio Version: 2.15.00.12.19
PRI/NV: 2.33 (I believe these versions typically match, but I don't really think it matters)
Then, if you open the rom.zip file, you see
hboot_2.18.0001.img
wimax_27243-MFG27243-ISSI.img
I think those are all of the relevant versions. Nothing special needed to see them.

And how can I know the ROM(android system),sense, recovery, kernel version?
And if I update this RUU,hboot will update from 2.16.0001 to 2.18.0001,will it be changed from s-off to s-on?

For I have an old android system,I want to update them to better and newer version.I wonder which is the best version for me.
My system version is
hardware:0004
ROM:2.2
sense:1.0
RADIO:2.15.00.09.01
Kernel:2.6.31.17-gee557fd
soft:3.70.651.1
Webkit3.1
hboot:2.16.0001
recovery:2.3
PRI:1.34_003
I want to know is the RUU_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.67.651.3_Radio_2.15.00.12.19_NV_2.33_release_234563_signed my best choice.
That is the newest version right there. From the looks of your current 2.2 rom it looks like the newest version would be a nice upgrade for you. I would just flash the rooted stock rom and newest radio that captain_throwback has extracted. (Thank you btw).

It will only become s-on (if it does) if you run the actual ruu. Just install the rooted version. Rooted stock rom and you will be safe

I'm interested in trying other ROMs but I would like to be able to return to my current stock ROM if it doesn't work out. Currently I'm running a Bell ROM, but the version is more recent than this one.
Specificially, I'm running 1.34.666.5 with Radio 12.28b.60.140eU.26.03.02.26_M.
Right now, both the firmware and the radio versions are newer than anything on the xda site. Would it be possible for you to obtain a newer RRU? I have checked both the Bell and HTC sites and couldn't find a download link for any RRU.
If it isn't possible, can I expect my phone to update to the current versions OTA if I give it this ROM?
Is it possible for extract the current radio ROM from my phone itself?
I apologize in advance if I'm asking these questions in the wrong place

if you permroot/s-off your phone. you can do a full backup using clockworkmod recovery. however, you do NOT want to flash official ruu's and such, if one is older then the one your on or from another brand, this will happen: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838484
if you want to try this rom, it will have to be A.made into an update.zip rom w/hboot, radio, and recovery all REMOVED, or B. take just the system.img out of it and flash JUST the system.img in fastboot in bootloader (not the fast boot in sense). "fastboot flash system system.img"...you will then need to re-permroot, but skip all the s-off/hboot stuff, you will still be s-off.

Yeah, I need the Radio 12.28b.60.140eU.26.03.02.26_M Extracted from your ROM too. Because I flashed the WWE ROM and I'm having signal issues, compared to my brother who is using that current Bell ROM. If I have to run the Bell ROM to fix this, I'd do that too, but I can't find 1.34.666.5 only the 1.34.666.1 that's listed in this post.
*EDIT*
So... I flashed this posted RUU "[RUU] RUU_Vision_BellMobility_WWE_1.34.666.1_Radio_12.28 b.60.140e_26.03.02.18_M2".
But found the kernel is different, so I couldn't S-OFF to get recovery back on. So... I had my brother S-OFF his phone and make a
Nandroid of his phone running 1.34.666.5. I then proceeded to flash "RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed" back onto my phone, and then rooted, S-OFF, flashed clockwork" and then recovered using my brothers Nandroid backup. Then used clockwork to reset it back to factory. I then made a nandroid backup of that. So, I am posted a Nandroid Backup of
So if you flashed this, the steps are as follows to get back to the original Bell ROM.
1. Flash "RUU_Vision_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.5_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155556_signed"] ROM via multiupload.com /67NZB9NER1
2. Root
3. S-OFF
4. Install Clockwork Recovery via ROM Manager
5. Reboot into Clockwork
6. Recover using Bell HTC Desire/Vision 1.34.666.5 Nandroid Backup via my upload here multiupload.com /6SETLDCPJE
Hope that helps some people who are stuck!
PS To Flash the WWE ROM you might need a Gold Card, I used one.
I'd like a tutorial on how to extract just the radio from the WWE roms. If we could get them as .zip's, loading them with recovery would be very beneficial. I know that if you install a WWE update through HBOOT, you will lose your root and it will return your phone to s-off. Its a bit of a pain of having to go through the rerooting process every time.

Ok, so now that I've unlocked my device using the new gfree method, and have true radio S-OFF and SuperCID, I believe that I could now flash any provider image and return to my backup or a stock provider image at any time. I'm right, er, right?

I am not 100% sure on this myself, but I think it should be ok now. Before the problem was that you could flash an older ROM, and it would first off flash the stock HBOOT over the previous eng HBOOT that was giving you S-OFF. So this would immediately put you back to S-ON. However, now with radio S-OFF you will stay at S-OFF in the flashing process, because the change is made in the radio configuration partition, which won't be touched by the flash.

can anybody tell me what the stock radio is on the bell 1.34.666.5 rom is?
is it: 12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.18_M2

You can either use an RUU (get the one that matches your installed radio) which will wipe everything or you can install a pre-rooted ROM if you have a custom recovery. Enjoy!

Hello, just need to know when i flash a shipped rom to wildfire s should i make sure the HBOOT version of the ruu is same or higher than the HBOOT version of the phone?
Thanks
Good question. I think it doesn't matter. HTC's official ROM, HBOOT, Radio or whatever updates are designed to work no matter if the device is S-Off or not. As far as I know, it shouldn't matter.
No. The radio takes care about the hboot versions. If you install maybe an old shipped rom with an older hboot which is not supported anymore, the device will bypass hboot installation

if you install a complete ruu the hboot is mostly updated along with the rom. so donÄt worry about it.

go to your bootloader menu and figure out if that the firmware build number is the the same in the about phone in the setting menu

3.28.401.7 is pretty new. It should work with 4.4.4. Strange issue IMO.
You cannot run a 4.4.4 rom. And without being s-off you cannot update your firmware... Yes you may have flashed a stock rom but not the stock rom you were on previously. You will ONLY be able to flash a rom with it looks like 4.4.2 or maybe 4.4.3.

Get S-OFF again and flash the firmware manually. Don't know why you went S-ON and locked in the first place. There is no reason to go back S-ON(Unless you're gonna exchange then it's a small maybe) and when it's S-OFF there is no reason to lock the bootloader.

3.28.401.7 is pretty new. It should work with 4.4.4. Strange issue IMO.

He updated the software, not the firmware.
He subsequently verified this by saying he restored a stock nandroid. But I was pretty sure of that already.

go to your bootloader menu and figure out if that the firmware build number is the the same in the about phone in the setting menu
It happened to me too because I used more recent nandroid without updating my phone

Neither of those will tell you the firmware number. You need to look at hboot and radio to know for sure.
What he said ^
just flashed Viper rom and love it.
I noticed that in order to flash the newest version of Viper Rom you have to flash the firmware manually which is quite complicate for noobs like me
And it's confusing to choose the right firmware to flash, my M9 is in contract with Bell and I really don't want to brick my phone...
So is there any chance I can update form 1.9.1 to 2.x.x by OTA in the future?

No there won't be an OTA because of the new rom base. But you can download the zip from their site and install it on the old firmware if you choose the option with the old kernel.
In regard to your firmware update "problem": What version are you on? If you don't know you can find out by booting into download mode. It's stated in the line with "OS". If you are S-ON and not on a firmware version with 1.32.401.XX then the firmware update is not possible for you since the file is unsigned. In that case you can use Sunshine S-OFF and follow one of the guides here on xda to update your phone. Another option would be staying S-ON, flashing the correct RUU for your CID and your firmware version (both stated in download mode*) and update via the official HTC OTA. But at the moment the second method is not possible since version 1.40.XXX has not been distributed officially until now. So depending on your choice you may have to wait some weeks.
* Since there has not been any aboot update you are able to use RUUs for older firmware versions, too. For example you could use 1.32.401.8 even if you were on 1.32.401.15.

Thank you for your reply! But Im still confused about which zip should I flash. In the download link there are firmware package for US carriers and international version. I bought my phone from Bell Canada under a 2-yr contract, can I flash the international one?

As I said you need to know your actual firmware version and your CID. Both are stated in download mode (the firmware version is called "OS"). Without these information no one can tell you which RUU to use.

My CID num is BM_001 and OS is 1.3.2.66.30.
There is one on RUU site called "0PJAIMG_HIMA_UL_L50_SENSE70_ATT_BM_1.32.666.6_R2_Radio_01.01_U11440221_59.04.50303G_2_F_release_426170_signed.zip"
is this the correct one? What's difference bet. a "OPJAIMG" and a "RUU"? Sorry there are lots of things I don't know

As you never stated it before I assume your phone is S-ON (again stated in download mode). So you can try that file without having to fear a brick since the worst case scenario is that it simply won't flash. All you have to do now is the following:
Warning all files and data except the ones on your external SD card are going to be deleted
Download the RUU
Rename it to 0PJAIMG.zip
Copy the file on an external SD card that is formatted to fat32 and not bigger than 32 gb
Boot into download mode
Follow the instructions that are shown on your M9's screen
Congratulation you are now back on stock rom and firmware
But just to clarify it again: The 1.40 firmware has not been distributed by HTC yet. All you can do for now is updating to the firmware version you had installed before running the RUU.
"0PJAXXX" (that's a zero not an O) is just the name of your device and I guess the "IMG" should indicate that the file is an image of the software. The XXX may differ depending on the model you own.
