[Q]Desire Z keyboard problem (with video) - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm new here. Few days ago i bought not brand new Desire Z and having some keyboard input problem which I shown in video: http://youtu.be/HBPO3YGDTJM
I'm asking for help how to fix it. I'm absolutely beginner in HTC Desire Z so please answer me simply. Software: Android 2.3.3, HTC Sense 2.1, Baseband 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M, Kernel 2..35.10-g7b95729 . Ask me more information if you need. Thanks for help.

I thought if i got a root and a new ROM, this problem will gone. But I got this rom: [ROM][20/02/12]Ice Cream JIBwich 1.2|ICS|Heavily Optimised|Working Camcorder(glitchy) and the problem is the same. I can't believe its physical damage. It look like programing foult. Please help me to fix it. t's very annoying.

After watching that video, I can't tell what your problem is? Reevaluate a little.

In video describtion i wrote a little. When i press a button it writes strange text (puyewq) instead a letter q and so on.

No, in my ICS ROM the isnt something similar and i think, when i done formating and etc it would be set to default and there will be no problem. Maybe its somewhere deeper :/

If you have clockwork recovery or similar try to enter in the terminal from the recovery!
In this way android is not loaded and you can find if it is a software or hardware problem!

I thought that maybe there is something changed by first owner of this desire z in
Code:
/system/usr/keychars
or
Code:
/system/usr/keylayouts
I still can't find exactly where is the problem. So if you have some minds please share it with me.

Maybe someone with properly working keyboard could attache here these folders and i could change mine with yours folders. Or someone could tell me how to fix these files and folders, reset or smth. If it has some point i'm using HTC Desire Z, not G2.

just flash an official RUU via hboot/bootloader and it'll be fixed unless a flex problem is active or occurs

strange issue with HD

Hi, i rooted one piece hd and flashed ROM (TRHRHD_v05) on it but strangely after the whole procedure the phone didnt show any languages that this ROM has. I factory set before and after the flashing procedure but still same problem. I have used this ROM previously on other HD phones and never had this problem. I forgot to check the version of the phone before flashing. Any ideas?

Try this link http://www.aioboards.com/f104/android-market-v2-3-4-main-market-updated-211735/
I'm not familiar with it, so would suggest a backup prior to installing in case the file is corrupt.
Good luck.

Rooting Stock G2 with 2.3.4

Hey Everyone,
I tried to root my phone using the cyanogen mod wiki, and that failed after chmod 755/data/local/tmp/*, i put data/local/tmp/psneuter and it just said not found..
Any suggestions?
Another question i also had is... is it not possible at the moment to root my phone because its just been updated to 2.3.4? (aside from downgrading)
Thanks everyone.
A quick search and you would of found your answer. I'm on mobile so can't link but if you search or go to dev section or general you will get your answer

Make sure all the files (eg. psneuter) are in the same directory as ADB.
As for your second question, I don't think anyone has cracked the latest update so you'd need to downgrade.

[Q] HTC Desire camera not working.

The camera was fine when i rooted and flashed CM7 on my htc desire in October, 2012. Later when I flashed Runnymede with sense, the camera stopped working. After that I tried several ROMS including the earlier CM7 but the camera failed to start. I even tried by installing other camera apps from the market but in vain. PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance.
To make it further clear- I have formatted the total sd card and done factory reset before every rom installation.
Could it be hardware? There's a thread here somewhere about the ribbon cable becoming dislodged and how to fix

Any suggestions?

[Q] Please Help me Unbrick my HTC One V.

Hey guys so a couple of days ago I decided that I was going to root my HTC One V phone by Virgin Mobile, so I did and that was successful but I wanted to take it a step further and put a custom rom on my phone. I downloaded the files for 'Pacman" which is a custom ROM and then it went downhill from there. I can get into the OS for about 20 seconds then it will lock up and restart. So I believe that it is in a constant boot loop (Soft Bricked) All I want is to go back to the original OS that was on my phone in the first place, I do plan on rooting it again but not messing with ROMs. So any help would be amazing. Thanks!
Turn off your phone. Hold down the volume down button, and you will go into your installed recovery.
Succes!

Do you have Skype? PLEASE ADD ME - TheOniza
You have to unzip it first and read carefully the part where it tells you to find the correct files to push stock recovery or it won't work
