Who has extended batteries and can we get pictures?

I am thinking about getting an extended battery for my Vibrant, specifically this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Battery-w-Back-Cover-Samsung-Vibrant-T959-/280576737493. Now, I was wondering if I could get feedback from owners for extended batteries:
Which one did you get?
What is the quality -- how long does it last you?
Can you provide pics of how much fatter it made your phone?

Oh you mean back cover. I thought you meant a case, like a TPU case.

Extended battery with Clear Protector for entire phone
Use this and your battery life more than doubles. It is very comfortable, rubberized coating, and the battery rocks. The door is quite thin considering and fits comfortably in the hand. The Mugen batteries. I have the 3200mAh and really like it. There are many places from which to order it, but I can personally vouch for the great customer service of http://mugenpoweronline.com/

Reputable battery vs cheap knock-off manufactured with who knows what QA--if any. I avoid the dirt cheap batteries and chargers. Maybe I am just a snob tho

Yes. About 3.5 times the cost of a typical OEM 1500mAh battery but it's not like there is much competition at size. If they produced them on a scale closer to Samsung's own, they'd possibly be cheaper.
I've also seen the cheap non OEM batteries not even charge all the way up to their advertised capacity and then their efficiency is also worse than the OEM battery. I've also seen many Vibrants busted by using cheap batteries. They've overheated, exploded or caused component failures before exploding.
At least OEM batteries perform as expected for the most part. Anyone done any or seen any performance tests done on these Mugen batteries? I'd expect them to at least perform as advertised given the price. I might actually consider getting one of these even though it costs more than what I paid for the phone itself! LOL

If you don't buy direct, you can find the Mugen one online for less than $100.

Just an update with my Cheap Knockoff battery LOL. Its been running great with no leaks, no overheating or anything. its the 2800mah extended battery. Ive been getting 2+days with the battery. Thats with 3g on always, screen at brightest level and streaming slacker/pandora a couple hours a day. Please dont be scared to order one of the cheap batteries, they actually do work. Im just a cheapo that perfers grocery store brands vs the Big Name brands.

I ordered this one the other day, should be getting here next monday or so...
But has anybody found somebody or some place online that sells anykind of cases for the Vibrant with the bulky battery casing??

I would like to see something better comparison wise than a lighter, I really want to be able to keep on 3g all day and get most of a days charge.. I have to keep off 3g, bluetooth, gps all the time to get 17+ hours out of my phone.. and heaven forbid I use google maps or something.
Don't get me wrong, my phone is awesome, I am used to having to keep things like 3g off to have enough battery, but it would be nice to be able to USE the phone without fear of it dying too early..

Be wary. A lot of these batteries aren't actually the capacity that they advertise.
$12 may be worth the risk.

It look much better than those 1800mah battery that are all over ebay. I would rather buy one of these than getting 3 of the crappy ones for the same price !!!

yea, i just bought one i will see how works

On the captivate forums a user bought a few of these different mAh batteries and did tests with some battery meters. None of the batteries did as well as the stock OEM batteries. Even known "good" brands like Seido didn't do well. The higher capacity batteries never did as well as even stock batteries and the cheap eBay batteries that matched the originals did really bad.
If i want an extra battery i will just buy it from AT&T or Moto - or somewhere that i know the one i buy is genuine.

I looked and it seems to me like there's not really room for a thicker battery....

I would be very wary of any battery that is any thicker than the original. If you have to press harder on the cover to get it to clip on with the thicker battery, it could be physically stressing the circuit boards or other components.

its already shipped so i will report back when i get it if its not the same as stock i could use it as backup battery when im camping so for 12 bucks worth

in fact im doing a "time drain" i mean i leave my phone full bright 2 hours testing wallpapers and so on to see how much consume gingerblur apps, stock and so on and i will compare with chinese one

Has anyone purchased the 3500 mAh and had any issues? I did, and the battery isn't lasting longer than my stock or my anker 1800. They are sending a replacement and I am crossing my fingers. Anyone have any experiences w them?

I had bought one too and in fact 1st one was dead wouldnt hold a charge and was defected, sent me another one and worked fine but i just bought a hyperion and much better and cheapier off at amazon.

Seidio is expensive and isn't worth that money I'm telling you get the hyperion one. You can get 5 hyperions compared to 1 seidio not including shipping but you get the point.

3500+ mAh batteries

I found that there are 3500+ mAh batteries for the Nexus, but I'm trying to figure out which one. A lot of them have *extremely* ugly covers. I have a otter box, and would like to try to keep it compatible with common cases. It's not 100% necessarily important, but would be nice.
What are you suggestions on batteries? I found a few on Amazon, ranging from $10 to $60. I have verizon extended already. It sucks.

You're probably not gonna find anything in the slim extended department. Every single 3800 mAh battery is huge.

Guarantee the $10 3800mAh battery will give you about the same life as the stock battery lol.

I know it is! lol it doesn't matter though, I'm seriously on my phone for 8 hours straight and I go through my extended and standard battery in that time frame.

I have heard good things but I spent the extra for a 4000mAh seidio for my evo 3d.
I wouldn't buy anything else.
But it says its unavailable

I bought one of these and the Hyperion 3800 to test them out since me and the missus both have this phone. Read good and bad things about both, but most of the negatives seem to be from idiots who dont know how to put them through proper charge cycles.
Hoping they both turn out good, but for $20 each I wont complain too much if i get a lemon. Only annoying thing now is waiting for the mail redirection service since Amazon refused to ship to Australia!

I have this battery and the Seidio for my CDMA Sprint GNEX.
The Qcell is OK for what it is, cheap. I see much better battery life with the Seidio, but if I had to do it again I probably would have just stayed with the Qcell.
It's so cheap you can't go wrong.

I have this battery and I'm quite satisfied with it. It has lasted me more than a day with casual web browsing, music, and videos (WatchESPN, TwitchTV, YouTube, etc.).
It has lasted me more than two work days too. The cover is fit perfectly on my phone. It gives the back of the phone more grip.
I also got the Trexcell TPU case. Clean look and the cut outs are perfect for the buttons and ports.
The extended battery/cover adds some bulk to the phone but not that much, IMHO.

Thats nice to hear I'm going to order one myself and the Trexell case hopefully sometime next week ill do a full video review.
