[Q] "Syncing" and ADB Questions - Acer Iconia Tab A100

Hey, I just purcahsed an A100 and rooted it already and all that jazz...
Though I did ignore some key features.
Is there a way to access the internal SDcard without installing the Acer software?
Scratch that, I had to turn off USB Debugging
Is there a way to access the device using ADB? Not sure if I am missing the drivers or something, but adb can't find any devices when I plug this in.

You need to have usb debugging enabled for adb access.

what does our phone have to be in to use adb? ive never used it before but want to to obtain root without unlocking the bootloader and losing my info. is it rebooted in adx mode? just turned on normally? off?
thanks!
You cannot root without unlocking the bootloader! To access adb you need to be in OS and have debugging enabled under Developer options in the settings.

you already answered my question to be in the OS with debugging enabled! thanks!
You could re-lock the bootloader though if you ever wish to unroot your phone...

So there's nothing listed if you input :
adb devices
You are connected via usb with debugging enabled?
Edit: could you also open up device manager in windows and have a look if the device is listed

usb is enabled.
nothing is listed under ADB, but there is my serial number listed under fastboot. I uninstalled all drivers the toolkit and the SDK. I am going to try the toolkit again now that everything is been uninstalled. The device will be listed in Windows but usually without the ADB driver listed, however the fastboot driver is listed.
now that I tried using the toolkit,
I still had the same problem with no ADB but fastboot was the listed. Then I went to uninstall the drivers through the toolkit and I got an error message saying that they remove failed three times and that no device was removed. However the device still exists under portable devices in the device manager. I am going to uninstall the toolkit after removing the drivers and remove all the drivers from the device manager and then try using just the SDK to route the phone.
after using the toolkit, I am now getting Samsung ADB interface driver installed on my computer. However the toolkit cannot access or realize that ADB is connecting to my phone. I do have USB debuggingenabled. I might try using the SDK to manuallyto connect to it.
fixed the problem. i plugged my phone in directly to the computer instead of through a usb splitter. got it rooted via this post

Glad you got it fixed. If I knew I could have told you the usb hub would have been the problem (they always are)

help!No Rom installed and unable to push ROM using ADB as USB debugging is off

Soft bricked(?) my phone. I've got no ROM installed and No ROM/backup on my SD card.my laptop doesnt detect my phone even after re-installing USB device driver (error MTP USB device).
Now I want to use ADB Sideload to push a ROM into my SD card in recovery.
Unfortunately it seems like USB Debugging isn't turned on, it can't find my device.
Is there anyway to turn it on in recovery/ TWRP? any other way to bring back to life?

Thanks, problem is USB debugging is not enabled :crying:
I think your problem is incorrect drivers, uninstall your current driver and install this

fastboot has nothing to do with ADB.
thanks a bunch
there's a return to stock thread in general. use that.

Broken display and Mtp mode not set yet.

Like it says my display is completely broken :'(
The phone starts up and I hear the Samsung tune start and then it connects to computer.
However it connects as a fresh install. I'm almost certain USB Debugging is on, but I don't believe I had hooked it up to a pc on the Rom yet so I have not selected Mtp mode yet. Its modified Touchwiz kk not cm.
Is there an easy method to command it to connect through mtp before or with simple adb commands?
Or do I have to download Android sdk and go full adb everything?

Won't enable USB debugging (already unlocked bootloader)

Ok so first time I unlocked the bootloader the process was straight forward and everything went great.
Now that twrp was released with the modded boot image, now I can't get my phone to be recognized.
When I type in adb devices it shows nothing. I tried turning off on usb debugging and tried MTP, PTP, Charging etc. Tried factory reset also and restarting laptop.
Any more suggestions? I never had a problem waiting for usb debugging allow option to click yes but I'm stuck right now
What OS are you running?
In linux, i have to run the adb commands as root. Sometimes have to adb kill-server if i ran first time without root.
Have you accepted the prompt on the phone for the RSA fingerprint?
Edit: my bad, I guess you are not even to enable debug, so my suggestions probably won't help...good luck though

Recover Data Blank Screen OP3 Disabled USB Debugging

Hi Team,
Using a one plus 3 device. Want to recover/access data from phone.
Issue with phone:
1. Black screen
2. Volume and power buttons not working
3. No root access/ USB debugging Disabled
Any possible solution to access data from my phone using ADB tool, or any other software or through command line( Android SDK)
Searched for software but most of them works with Samsung phone or USB debugging needs to be enabled.
Now I think only possible solution is via command line if any one having a knowledge of accessing file system via SDK.
Please reply to the thread.
