[Q]questions on versions and builds - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I'm unlocked and rooted and running stock 4.0.2 with ICL53F build. (CDMA Verizon)
Where does the 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 come from if Verizon has not released it? Leaks or from the GSM side?
Is there a thread that has all the versions and builds listed? I could not find it. If not can someone list them here please. I'd like to know the basics before tinkering.

People have built 4.0.3 ROMs from the updated source tree. They have built 4.0.4 ROMs because there was a leaked 4.0.4 OTA that was posted.
4.0.2 is the latest OTA for CDMA and GSM.

[Q] How to Know When Radios are Official Releases

I am still on the stock radio 4.0.2 and was considering going to 4.0.4. I am pretty sure that it is a leak just like 4.0.3 was.
My question is how and when are official radios released? Do they come packaged in with ota updates? Are they released by Google? And lastly is the 4.0.4 radio an official release or a leak?
Thanks!

If they're part of an OTA update then they become official I guess; however, the radios that are always floating around are proper radios that you can use. Just make sure you're flashing the correct one (LTE / GSM).
4.0.4 is a leak but it's official. (If yet, in theory, not a final "product").

[Q] 4.0.4 Rom???

I am seeing posts about 4.0.4 roms being out. I am assuming these are leaked roms? Has the official 4.0.4 AOSP been released?
4.0.4 has leaked but it IS on the Google server but it's only for the Verizon handsets
The 4.0.4 you're seeing is a leaked Google build for the LTE GN.
AOSP is still at 4.0.3
thant's what I thought. I am running Gummy 0.7.6 with the 4.0.4 apps, but I started seeing all these posts about 4.0.4 roms. Thanks for the clarificaion.
Check the GSM dev section. There is a WIP 4.0.4 ROM out.

UK Stock Galaxy Nexus - What Updates?

Hi guys,
I'm hoping you can de-mystify this for me.
I got a Galaxy Nexus in December and I decided to root and do all the good things you can with these devices. When I saw updates starting to roll out, I flashed a stock 4.02 image for my device. So I'm not not rooted and my bootloader is locked again.
I see people discussing 4.0.3, 4.0.4 and even 4.0.5 recently. Can somebody exactly WHAT is officially available from Google with regards updates for GSM devices? Is it still stuck at 4.0.2?
4.0.2 is the current release for the GSM handsets
4.0.3 is available as source and people have built ROMs using this source code
4.0.4 would appear to be the next release for the Verizon (CDMA) Nexus but it hasn't been properly pushed out so far
4.0.5 is the rumoured next release in March for the GSM handsets

Thanks for that Eddy.....however I have another leading question then.
What that seems to suggest is that 4.0.3 is available as source but Google won't be releasing it OTA as 4.0.5 is en route? Will that be OTA?
My general rule of thumb has been if it's OTA, it's officially working on Gnex's.

My phone is still on 4.0.2

On verizon here, and I am still on 4.0.2, but I see threads about 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. Are those unofficial or is my phone just missing the updates?
4.0.2 is the last officially released build for the Galaxy Nexus.
4.0.3 has been released to some devices (not any version of the GN), and as it is part of the official source code base available, is the base for pretty much any actively developed ROM.
4.0.4 is a "leaked" OTA update. The full verizon OTA installer package can be downloaded from google's servers but is not available as source code, so the only ROMs done with it involve modifying that package.

Nailed it!
OP, I realize you may want to get the update, but you're not alone. Everyone else who hasn't rooted is still on 4.0.2 as well.

What's new in the VZW 4.0.4 IMM76K update?

Does anyone have a list of changes? Or even an unofficial list? So far there have been four 4.0.4 updates and it's getting a little confusing. Ignoring the first VZW leak (IMM30) there have been IMM76B, the first official 4.0.4, then IMM76I released only to GSM owners. I remember reading that the AOKP team said this was strictly a kernel update. Leankernel and faux kernel both integrated these changes.
Now there's the Verizon update that comes with a brand new build number, IMM76K. So now that everyone who wants to have had a chance to flash it, I ask you. What's different? Is the kernel version different? Any bug fixes? Or did they just feel like updating the build number for the hell of it because it's Verizon? lol
Right now I'm running AOKP Milestone 5 with leankernel 3.4.0 so I should have everything from IMM76I (if there's anything in there that even makes a difference for us LTE users). Is there anything in IMM76K that would be worth loosing all the AOKP stuff?

you're already on 4.0.4, VZW 4.0.4 is just the same GSM 4.0.4 its just been approved for the VZW network.
the important thing you need to get out of it is to flash its radios and bootloader [optional]
but at least the radios.
Oh yea forgot to mention the radios. I already flashed those on top of AOKP. I was previously running the radios from the last 4.0.4 leak and the bootloader is the same (PRIMELA03). I first flashed the factory 4.0.2 radios and bootloader just to be safe. Then I flashed the new radio and bootloader zip in clockwork mod.
I was asking if there's any changes in the actual ROM, aside from the radios and bootloader.
