Not sure if he has but he managed to flash Blackrose from N1 onto his Desire, how did you manage get s-on? on black rose? Did you use this RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed ?

I tried your mentioned RUU file and rename it as PB99IMG.zip but still fail.

If he did hboot would say "BravoC"
edit: .. or after reading the actual numbers of the hboot i retract that statement.

It did not fail compare to original thread you gained s on and downgraded radio from which I found out as you mentioned RUU before in original thread, one more question, did you follow advice from N1 guy I posted there?

Try to flash alpharev hboot downgrade with fastboot, then try to flash any other hboot or to flash RUU. I recommend 2.3 RUU.

I have same problem. How did you solve it?

[Q] WIch RUU is the right for updating hboot?

Hello everybody
I want to update my 0.80 HBOOT for S-OFF, now my question is what is the right? I live in Austria & bought my Wildfire with the provider T-Mobile Austria.
Thank you.
Since your Wildfire is already debranded I assume, use any Froyo RUU. Personally, I used WWE 2.22.405.1, since that has HBoot 1.01.0001, which has no issues with AlphaRev X.

If I remember correctly, you can get S-OFF with unrevoked if you have HBOOT < 1.01.0001
Also I don't think you can change the HBOOT with a RUU, because before alpharevx it was possible to downgrade the RUU, but not the HBOOT.
Since I'm new here, I cannot give you the link to unrevoked, but you will find it easyly with google.
Good luck!

There's an EXE file as well on the Shipped ROM's site for WWE 2.22.405.1. It's a little bit lower in the table.
Anyway, if you want to try with the ZIP file (I tried the Zip first - didn't work for me), then download it, rename it to PC49IMG.zip, place it on the root of your SDCard, and reboot in HBoot mode. It will automatically detect the file and attempt to install it.

Nope.
Unrevoked S-OFF tool (called unrevoked forever) is not present for wildfire. But instead present for some other htc phones.

What do you mean by "present "?
All I know is that there is an unrevoked version that works with WF before HBOOT 1.01.001.
This can't be used for S-OFF?

I mean unrevoked s-off tool (called unrevoked forever) is not available for wildfire even for hboot 0.80
All it does for hboot 0.80 is pushing of custom recovery through a nand exploit. The phone still stays s-on.
But such kind of tool is available for some other htc devices.

[Q] Upgrade HBOOT

Hi there
i have Hboot 0.80 And I want to S-OFF my phone!
alpharevx for HBOOT 1.01
what do i do?
Thanks all
It took me ages but probably because I took the long way round.
I think I formatted my SD card and made as gold card, then used the RUU tool in the Arabic RUU thread below this one.
That worked for me after a day of trial and error. I guess there is a quicker way. Search the forums I know alot of rooting guides have popped up since Alpha-Rev release.

Just go to Unrevoked.com, download their app and S-OFF+ROOT+Recovery install on your phone. HBOOT 0.80 is rootable, because it's the old version. You don't need Alpharev X.

try that it works for me...just select the applicable RUU to your region then your S-OFF!!!
I got HBOOT 1.02 after running RUU but when I run alpharevx it still got s-off.
Don't forget to install and uninstall HTC Sync so you won't encounter driver issues.
Then when your already s-off follow the instructions on the link below then that's it you got full control!!!

Radio: 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27

Bootloader: 0.93.0001
Carrier: Vodaphone UK
I am trying to install this RUU: RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed
While installing the ROM it gives an error relating to the the bootloader version. Do I need another RUU, if so which one? This is the only Vodaphone UK RUU I can find. If not do I need to upgrade Bootloader or downgrade it. (How?)
HELP!
First, tell us which type of hboot you are using (cm7r2, stock...).

Bootloaders cannot be downgraded.
Are you using one of alpharev's r2 hboots (cm7 or oxygen)? If yes, you have to flash bravo downgrade first, because these both new hboots are locked. This means they cannot be overwritten. After you have flashed bravo downgrade, try to flash ruu again.
Swyped from my HTC Desire using XDA App
How do I check which bootloader I have? and what do you mean by Bravo downgrade?
All I can see in fastboot is "hboot 0.93.0001" It doesnt say wether its Alpharev or stock?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Boot into bootloader and check first line. What's written there?
I mean if you have one of my named bootloaders, you have to download bravo_downgrade.img from here:
http://alpharev.nl
After flashing this via fastboot you should be able to flash ruu successfully.
Swyped from Oxygen
What do you mean by flashing through fasboot. I know how to apply .zip updates from recovery but how do you do it through fastboot? Does it need to be connected to a PC, any pre requisites for this method? I can see their are steps mentioned on the link you posted but I don't understand step 3. If you can clarify I will be very thankful.
When I boot into hbbot and there are options like "fastboot" and recovery etc. On the first line it says HTC Bravo PVT1 SHIP S-ON ?

Forget the thing with fastboot. You are still s-on, so you cannot use it and so there is no need to explain this.

Ohh I sort of get it now. The custom bootloader thingy can only be installed with S-OFF and I can only downgrade the bootloader with S-off which I don't have. So now I trying the RUU you mentioned. There are there vodaphone RUU's on the site. After trying all three, if they don't work, I have to S-off the device THEN run the Bravo downgrader and then flash any one of the three RUU's again, right?
Thanks for all the help man

hey thanks, it worked. Can you please explain why the RUU you posted worked and mine didnt? What do the numbers in the RUU signify? I know of those numbers is the radio version. What about the rest?
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_Vodafone_UK_2.33.161.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_157522_signed
Bravo_Froyo_Vodafone refers to the software and carrier.
2.33.161.2 < What does this refer to?
32.49.00.32U < This is the radio obviously. Does it have to be match the radio on my device or not? (It does match by the way)
5.11.05.27 < What does this refer to?
thanks for all the help man. Could you kindly explain two more things?
1) What are the benefits of S-off?
2) whats the point of custom bootloaders like Alpharev?
3) When I root a device, I can obviously install cracked APKs from other websites. What other advantages does rooting offer?
Thanks again.

Mine worked because you wanted to flash an ruu which was too old for your phone.
The number "2.33.161.2" is referred to the software number of android or rather in this case of the android software number with vodafone branding.
32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27 is the radio.
1) You can use fastboot, flash different partition layouts or you can delete apps from /system/app while phone is running.
2) More space for your desire.
3) You can install custom roms, backup your apps and system with e.g. titanium backup or you can "take a picture" of your current system configuration with nandroid backup.
For more information, just use the search.
And do not forget to hit the thanks button.
Thanks. You are AWESOME.
Edit:
I forgot. I dropped my Desire a few weeks ago and the screen got cracked. I got the front glass replaced but now the proximity sensor stays ON all the time. SO when I make a call, the screen goes black and the ONLY way of getting the cell back in is removing the battery. I'll get the cell phone repaired in a week or two. Till then is there any app or any way I can disable the proximity sensor? I was using an MIUI rom before I flashed the RUU and it had an option under "Call settings" to turn off proximity sensor so I'm sure it can be done. Is there any other way to do this without having to go back to MIUI? :|

Downgrade Hboot 6.93.0002 to 0.93.0001?

I had 2.3.3 oficial update. I used revolutionary to s-off (with the oficial update i had 1.02.0001 hboot and after s-off i had 6.93.0002 hboot). After s-off i ran the shipped RUU and i am still s-off and 6.93.0002 hboot.

Why do you want to do that?
There is a downgrader.img on the alpharev website which if you fastboot flash it to replace the existing hboot, will then allow you to use a RUU. Choose a RUU that has the hboot you want and run it. Of course this will unroot your phone. What is your actual aim here?
Downgrade from HBOOT 6.93.0002 to 0.93.0001
Guys, if you ORIGINALLY had 0.93.00001 and ran the Revolutionary S-OFF program, it WILL update your HBOOT to 6.93.0002. This is a GOOD thing, you'll still be S-OFF'd but you'll be running the Gingerbread HBOOT version. It's always better to have the newer version of the HBOOT than the older version. As long as you're S-OFF'd, it really doesn't matter which HBOOT version you have, I just recommend the newer version. Thanks!

For your information, GB Hboot is 1.02.0001 not 6.93.0002. 6.93.0002 is revolutionary hboot and if htc sees that highly likely they will not place it under warranty.

[Q] [Htc Desire]Can i Ruu 2.2 after Ruu 2.3?

Hi, I got my phone in a condition that was booting with the Htc logo and the four triangles on the sides. Got it fixed with the help of this forum, by installing on my Pc the Htc drivers and than I did a Ruu of 2.3 (Gingerbread) found on the HtcDev website. Not really happy with the overall performance of Gingerbread on my device...
Do you think downgrading to 2.2 will increase its performance?
Is there a way to Ruu 2.2 after Ruu 2.3?
Thanks in advance

Had 2.3 and hboot 1.02, S-OFF'd, flashed downgrader, ran RUU, then it was stuck on HTC screen, ran it again and it was fine. Maybe the process just didn't work successfully the first time.. just thought I'd mention it just in case
