Sorry in advance if this post offends anyone I am not really sure where else to post it because I dont have access to the classified forum yet (not enough posts apparently).
Looking to trade new Sprint Epic Touch 4G (Galaxy S2)+cash for a GSM Galaxy Nexus.
If anyone is interested please let me know -- thanks!
good luck, I don't see anyone that would be willing to do a straight trade. But you never know
Galaxy S2 for a Nexus S? Do you mean a Galaxy Nexus?

i have no problems with the post but i highly doubt anyone would trade like that. u may be better off putting ur phone on ebay and getting one from there as well.
You should put this on xda marketplace.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1321
You are looking to trade different network phones so it will be a tough trade. But you may get some interest in the marketplace depending on how much cash you will add.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, more just to poke fun: you should read his first post
This is my original post about how my N1 died.
Farewell to Nexus One
I am looking for new phone, and I am interested with Galaxy Nexus, as I am a Nexus fanboy.
So, how is Galaxy Nexus so far? How big the upgrade if compared to N1? I don't read any reviews about it yet, and I want to hear some small opinion or review from xda members.
Thanks a lot.
A giant upgrade!

Use the search feature and read existing reviews with 10+ pages. Its a lot more efficient than starting a thread.
You'll get a lot of biased posts as well since...well..you are in the Galaxy Nexus forum.
Its $350 without a contract. I think that's a steal. Get it.

Get the GNex. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
Its the best phone out there.

I went from a G1 to N1 to NS to GNex... Each phone has been better than the last.
It's a huge jump from the N1 to the GNex, don't wait any longer.

You have ferrari of 80s and you ask for the ferrari of 2012. Take it and you'll see by your self. This baby flies !!!

I had the nexus one and loved it, but switching to the galaxy nexus was the best thing, don't know how I used the screen on the nexus one its tiny, plus you get faster radios, way better camera, a ffc and you can actually play games without the multi touch crapping out or being limited by the Adreno 200 GPU. And last but not least you get [email protected][email protected]!.
Get the galaxy nexus and you won't look back.

Nexus gives you wings?
.. but yeah, N1 to a GN is a HUGE upgrade. Any phone of this generation will be a huge upgrade. A caution of word though, after using Galaxy Nexus... your N1 screen will look like a joke. At least that's what GN did to me to any phone with a screen smaller than 4.5"
Hell, I went from the HTC One X to the GNex and it felt like a massive upgrade. I couldn't imagine going from N1 to GN. Do eeeet.
Get the GN and no mistake.
I'd changed my GN only with the next GN.
A big upgrade that's for sure.

Just use the open VPN for android off the market and you don't need to worry about tun. Just import your openvpn profile. Its nice app as you don't need root. It works on stock.

Hi, I want to buy a new phone and I'm choosing between the Galaxy Nexus and S III. Which one do you recommend? I like how the Nexus looks, and getting updates first. I like the specs in the S III but I'm not a big fan of how it looks and I definitely don't like the TouchWiz UI. Where I live there is not much difference in price. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
What carrier?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
S3 then sell it and buy a nexus and profit (if you are going on contract) i actually had achance to test the s3 and on 4.0.4 it seemed pretty descent ... you could go with the s3 for sure either phone will get huge amount of support and i guess s3 is more future proof on specs so up to you
If on Verizon get the Gnex. If on any other carrier the S3.

Unlocked phones. Where I live carriers do not sell locked phones.

Well only one has the new Jelly Bean.....
That was my reasoning. By the time the s3 gets jelly bean Google will have a new nexus device out with an update. If I was Verizon I would not be happy with googles timing of jellybeans release. Especially with them collaborating on the nexus

U wont need s3 godly hardware with our buttery super smooth JB powered nexus~
Totally nexus device for me
This forum its crowded with threads about ppl regretting about sold gnex to buy s3 and hello guys I'm back sold my s3 for a gnex+xxxxx dollars.. Gnex Rox etc etc x.x

Get sgs3 since it is better hardware than nexus. You can change the software but not hardware.
Flash CM10 on sgs3 and you should be good.
I have a galaxy nexus because I bought the unlocked gsm for $350 which is a good deal and use it as a secondary phone

absolutely nothing is stable like stock, especially on phones which don't come with aosp natively ( i.e everything except nexus).

Where can i pick up a really cheap used galaxy nexus??
I have an HTC sensation atm running cm9 and i hate the phone, its got such a bad screen and battery life is awful. AOSP also doesnt run as well on the sensation as it does on a nexus, and htc sense is a load of crap.
Thanks for any replies.

I live in UK countryside, had a browse but no one seems to be selling one anywhere near me. I would get it posted or shipped from US but u can never trust people on craigs list can u...
CL is your best bet but nobody will probably make a deal from country to country.

I just bought one from Google Play for $350. Really good price considering its a Nexus device.

If you are asked to ship a item on Craigslist its a scam 10/10 times. Possibly eBay then? But it seems like all phones are overpriced on eBay but it might be worth a look.

Does the UK give the option to buy a Nexus from the Play Store?
I'm not sure if Swappa is available in the UK, but it is an excellent place to shop for used devices.
Most even come prerooted or with custom recoveries.

which phone do you like better? list the pros and cons of each device and decide which one you can live with.
cheers
Why are you asking us? Let's be honest, you're going to do what you want in the end no matter what we recommend. And this being the nexus forum you already know what your going to hear.

I had the one s. Had a desire HD then got excited and got the s
Hardware wise great.
Screen felt small. Its way to thin. Development is nowhere near the x or older HTC devices.
I have had the x also in between though I had a nexus. Traded in for an x.
Now back on the nexus lol
Be honest its your choice but if your trading go for the x

I wouldn't trade it. The One S is a decent enough phone, but I would never trade my Galaxy Nexus for it.

I wouldn't trade my Gnex for nothing out except the Next Nexus!
I was at the club the other day and my friend was there with his friend! He has an HTC one s, we swapped phones and "played" with them for a few moments. I've ready played with the one S before but his reactions to how smooth and fast my nexus was, was priceless! He also mention how he liked the on screen buttons and size of the phone itself...
Just my little story, if I were EVER Trade for a one S, it would be 250.00 + mint condition One S for my mint condition White nexus....yes I know. Overkill. Lol
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Answer for these "should I trade" threads are same. Yes. Why? Well we all are Gnex users and we're Gnex users for a reason. Because we love it and it is a best phone in our opinion.
What does that mean? You will get a pretty biased answer, I'm gonna be honest with you.
You should really do a research on the phone and see if you think it'll really fit your life more than Gnex you know? Everyone's opinion is different.
Hell no, after coming from a Nexus you will see all pixels on the One S. I compared my nexus to my friend's one s and noticed all pixels, and see pixels every time now.
