If you're looking at the OEM extended battery, it barely makes the phone thicker. A silicone case can stretch already, it'll fit just fine.
i've got the extended battery and silicone case from verizon and it all fits fine. with the silicone case you can't even tell which batter or back case is on besides the slight weight difference.
I think I was looking at the 2100 can't remember exactly somewhere around there though, will I notice better life with that over the stock?

You are looking at 10-15% increase in battery life because the size of the battery is not that much bigger than the original one.
It's like an hour+ for me with moderate use. I'm saying this based on my use, not any reliable testing, so don't quote me on that.
Basically, it will be longer but don't expect a huge improvement.
Thank you

I have the incipio case on my phone and was wondering if the extended battery fits inside. I have the same case they sell at Verizon.
Yes it will. I'm using the stock battery door with the extended battery in the case right now.

Does it feel like it adds any more thickness? Or just extra weight?
You can barely feel the weight. The door fits very snug but you don't really notice it with the case on.

Careful- from what it sounds like, forcing the stock back back on the extended battery can push the battery into the guts of the phone, and potentially affect the screen itself. I tried it for a heartbeat, but didn't like having to force it back on....
G'luck!

Hardly. Don't listen to this dude. The battery door is flimsy as **** and flexes a hell of a lot more easily then the 'guts' of the phone. It will not affect your screen whatsoever. I am running the Incopio case with the extended battery door but at the same time I used the stock door with the case as well. Either way works, but to you, one may be more favorable than the other. The factory battery door does cause the Incopio case to bulge the slightest bit but to many would be unnoticeable.
Peep the slight differences...
Would you mind putting a picture of the extended battery in incipio case? i want to order the extended but want to run my current case without problem.. how much weight does it add?
With the extended battery the bottom doesnt sit in that well and overlaps the lip, less so with the stock cover but it still doesnt fit that well.

HHmm that might be the deal-breaker. I really want this for only $25 but i NEVER use my smart phones without cases, so i dk if the extended would be worth it if the incipio vzw case doesn't fit right.
I'm looking for a "barely there" type case that would add a little extra grip. I never use cases and for $25... if it ain't perfect I know I'll eventually stop using it.
Any chance we can see the case with the extended battery and extended battery cover on the phone?
anyone know where to get this case for the galaxy nexus? here's the manufacture website but i dont think you can buy directly from them.

Its manufacture in ShenZhen. So I'm gonna keep a lookout for it in Dealextreme.

yup this is an alternative to those 3500mah extended batteries. the only thing i would like to know about the case is if it as an on/off switch, i can see it killing the stock battery cycles if left on all the time.

It should be similar to other packs of similar purpose. It will constant charge the internal battery until depleted then the internal battery own power kicks. So in phone usage, you'd probably see 100% charged until the pack is depleted.
This is very interesting, also looks like it has the ringke slim case silhoutte that covers the top and button but leaves the sides exposed, i wonder how much bulk it will add to the back side, hope to see a review soon, was gonna buy the ringke slim but i guess I'll wait a few days...

Hi.
Has anyone tried to put this set to any case?
I do not like to wear the phone in pocket, should need something with Belt Clip and wonder if this kit would come to OtterBox Defender, PureGear Hard Shell Holster or any other case.
And by the way I ask because I do not see in the description.
Is the power pack will fit together with the extended battery 2000 mAh or just the stock 1750 mah?
Will be upgrading from my sg2 tomorrow and looking around for an extended battery already heh.
I was looking at getting the qcell or hyper 4200mAh with nfc.. But i was wondering if there was any cases that would fit for the extended battery?

Thank you for posting this.
I am really hoping there's a solution to this problem.
I have a 4200mAH Qcell battery for my Samsung Epic Touch 4G and I wouldn't part with it for the world. It's an insanely high quality battery for the money. I basically used a hard-shell/soft-shell bracer from a cheap case I bought, threw away the inner part, and just made the outer part "fit" the phone with that large battery in there.
I don't care if the solution is ghetto or weirdly-rigged, as long as it's snug and works, I'm interested.

Yeah, a case for the extended battery is my concern also. I do not want to buy the battery and be stuck using a case that gives very little protection. I have an idea which I got off the htc rezound threads. They have modified a trident kraken case to fit the extended battery. here is the link to that
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1550351&page=3
However before I go ahead with such a thing I really want to make sure it will work. I need to know precise dimensions of the battery and the thickness of the silicone gel inside the trident case

Hyperion makes a tpu case for their extended battery. It may work on other extended battery setups.

Here's a link to the TPU extended battery case on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008MMZUZS/ref=ox_ya_os_product
Nice to see my mod from the rezound still being used but I dont know if it would work out good on this phone, the trident logo is part of the rubber on this case instead of being part of the outer shell, so if you do cut it your going to see the battery. unless the battery is black then it might not look as bad. Im probably going to pick up a Kraken case soon and I might give it a try anyway
was thinking of tris this on the otterbox commuter. but i dont think the inner rubber layer is thick enough to compensate for the volume the battery will take up.
one thing to note 2 Samsung batteries back to back with stickers and one NFC Annette removed are thinner than some of the generic extended batteries ive looked into.
Interesting to know. If you have dimensions for the batter, please share. Thanks.

Watch Seidio.com they informed me via email that they are coming out with an extended battery and soon after a convert case (comparable to Otterbox, Ballistic in protection). I'm not sure if it will work with other manufactures batteries but it should.
@Italiankd. Perhaps the logo could be cut out and then placed back on the battery from the outside. I just checked out pictures of the Cyclops case, and its the same issue.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-TPU-B...Accessories&hash=item20c7308a1b#ht_896wt_1165
i could cut away the lil bit that needs removed for the extended back to fit a bam! what do you guys think? id think it would be best for me anyway as i dont want extra thinkness i just want to protect he screen from drops. so only the sides need a bit of protection.
I bought the one on the Gillebob's Mobilefun UK link, from Hong Kong directly. They have higher capacity better models. Mine was 2200 mAh model and cost me only $40 delivery included. I do not keep it on the phone all the time since it is bulky. When I need some power I connect the phone and use it while charging it my battery. It is very handy and doec not affect the signal quality or the NFC. I keep it charged and ready for any occasion. Check the pics and if you are interested contact me. :good:

someone was doing tests on it, and found that it will not fully discharge into the phone's batt (seems logical, you can never empty a battery into another battery)... so what you end up with is:
a case that is larger in every dimension than the hyperion 4200mAH (even with the hyperion extended battery case)
and an end result of less than 4200mAH usable juice.
but you can easily disconnect it, for streamlined (albeit caseless) pocketablility.

I have been using it for about a month now and as it has been said it discharges around 85% to the phone battery. There is always one light remains even if it stops charging the phone.
My phone goes around day and a half with it's own juice and if I need power on the go when I go to beach or something this case comes very handy. I slip it on when I am on the road and if I need the power I just push the button. When I am out of the car, I slip the phone out and I do not have the bulkiness with me. I am happy and waiting for the 4500 mAh one now.
Hows the recharge rate? Like if u get to 1-2% and activate the battery will it still be sufficient enough to continue what you were doing as well as still giving it some juice?

From 2% I kept working and when I finished I left the phone on the table with the wireless on when I came back in 2 hours it was 45% and still charging. I believe this answers your question. :good:
I've recently gone ahead and purchased two extra batteries (extended higher capacity versions). One 3300 mAh and one 4300 mAh. They both come with their own special (larger) battery back cover. This in turn makes the phone much thicker and no normal case or protector will fit anymore. I've looked everywhere and just can't find any larger cases.
Has anyone found or know where to look for larger cases that will fit S3's that have extended batteries? I really do need to find something.
Thanks

I think you are looking for what is called a Power Bank rather than just an extended battery:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerBank-E...GXCK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1345985658&sr=8-4
This is the one I am considering.
I've posted a few pics below. The only back cover that I could find with the Anker 4400 was blue so that's what I have on there. Can't really tell with the cover on. I might spray it with some white if I don't like it. I have a size comparison with my wife's iPhone in a Speck case. Not much thicker. I'll be carrying this setup around SXSW next year.

Well. Ive done some seaeching and couldn't find anything so here I am.
Does anyone know of a way to make the extended battery compatible with Otterbox's Armor series cases. I have seen seberal modifications for the defender. Bht none for armor. And I don't want to not use this case, cause I know how rough I am on my phone and I know it'll break. But the battery just doesn't seem to cut it either.
Any ideas? Links? Anything?

You may have to remove some of this protective foam and also cut a hole through your Galaxy S3 back. Try to measure the difference and by doing this, at least a regular 3000mAh Samsung battery may fit inside.
Since I don´t own a Otterbox Armor Case and just a "simple" Otterbox Defender, I don´t have any possibility to perform this mod.

Is the 3000 the standard battery? I can't remember for sure. And I'm not looking for a 7000 ot anything crazy. I just need to be able to run a full day on heavy use.

The 3000mAh battery is a bigger battery in comparison to the stock 2xxxmAh which is included with the S3 when you buy it. You may have to compare the stock battery and the enhanced battery in order to be sure if my idea would work out, to remove some of the protective foam or rubber or whatever this material is made off and to cut a hole through your S3 battery back.
Otherwise I´m not quite sure if I´d wish to perform some modding on a rather expensive case like the otterbox armor

I've got both of these and I can confirm that the official Samsung 3000 mAh extended battery fits inside the Otterbox Armor case, if you leave the phone back off.
I haven't measured the difference in thickness, but it does seem to feel a little tighter when you clip the Otterbox on. How this might affect the waterproofing I don't know - and I'm not going to test it!
I can say that this has, if anything, improved the performance of the case. With just the standard battery and back there seemed to be a slight 'give' at the bottom of the case which made pressing the back button difficult - I would have to jab at the button or squeeze the case to get it to register. Now with the extended battery it works just fine - though you still have to poke it a bit since they made the opening for the back and menu buttons a little small for my chubby fingers!
As a follow on to my last post, I can also confirm that the armor is definitely not waterproof with the extended battery. Not even a little.
