anybody used voodoo from the sgs4g? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

ok so here my problem. i love to listen to music and when i was still using my sgs4g the voodoo kernal was in most of all the roms. I was wondering if there is a way to ether port if they are the same drivers. if not than can anyone help me on a adventure to get voodoo on this lovely Galaxy S II

I am pretty sure that the developer that brought voodoo to the galaxy s' and galaxy s2's said that our phone does not support Voodoo. Sorry.

[Q] Is it possible to port Voodoo Color?

Hey all,
I've bought my Galaxy Nexus today. But the screen is yellowish.
So I would like to know if it's possible to port voodoo color to this amazing phone - maybe with a custom kernel?
Drop supercurio a pm and see what he says
He replied in another thread saying how this process (along with voodoo sound) takes a ton of time (which I believe) and he would only work on the GNEX if it was very popular.
I'm 100% certain this phone will be wildly popular, so we can only hope he pushes out his tweaks.

is voodoo sound possible on nexus?

is voodoo sound possible on nexus? when i had a samsung captivate i remember voodoo sound just curious if we can get that or something like it
The Galaxy Nexus does not use the Wolfson Audio Chip. So no, but supercurio (dev of Voodoo Sound) is working on something for the Galaxy Nexus.
Follow him on twitter for more dev details @supercurio.
From Supercurio:
[email protected] Yes after study I can tell #GalaxyNexus will receive some #VoodooSound improvements. Screen: not studied enough yet.

Best thing I have heard in a while.. now anything about voodoo color?

Yeah supercurio is working on something for the sound. I like the ti chip better than Wolfson though. Wolfson is great but ti has cleaner bass and stereo.
My grandma beat me down and took my nexus. Sent from a jitterbug with beats by dre.

(REQ) Da_G Kernel

Hello Guys!
I'm asking to see if ANYONE can fix or port Da_G kernel from Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. Well, just fix the auto rotation. Skyrocket kernel make our phones FLY! I recommend anyone to try them. Especially with any of RoyalKnight's ROMs. Well, Thank You, and Have a Wonderful Day!

Thank but no, all the T-Mobile kernels run slow. I don't know what it is, but it lags so much, and this kernel I'm using (Da_G) is super fast. With Dewizzed . Ill make a video if I have to lol.

Faux kernal is based off skyrocket drivers and does not lag. I don't know which one you tried but version 7 has no lag. I think he switched sources in 6 or 7 but try again kernal is amazing
Tried 7, it was horrible compared to Da_G's.

Can you post a link to his kernal

Voodoo sound is for galaxy s I think, and the nexus has a different sound chip then the sgs(or so I've heard). You'd have to ask supercilious though if he is working on something for the GN.

Thought I read somewhere that supercurio decided to develop for the galaxy nexus...

I know he was working on the Droid Charge as I had the voodoo stuff on that phone when I had it. Wonder if that has the same sound chip?

iv searched for stuff related to voodoo port for gnex but couldn't find anything. Perhaps anyone who has found something would kindly share some links?
Does supercurio even own a gnex? Am very curious about his work, I never owned any other Samsung so obviously haven't bee n able to use his mods in the past.

Yeah I would really want his voodoo sound tweak on my Gnex! The current sound sucks and I LOVED the Voodoo sound on my original Galaxy S.

flashing epic 4g touch using samsung player 5.0 rom

is it possible to flash my epic 4g touch using samsung galaxy player 5.0 rom?
I was thinking about using one of this rom http://androidevolved.com/forums/ga...-etc/1389-samsung-galaxy-player-5-0-roms.html
I want a rom without the phone feature and all the bloat ware that comes with it. I got the s3 as my phone. I'm assuming the samsung galaxy player only has feature that are for use as media player not the crapware.
First I would research what hardware the Galaxy Player has, does it have the same hardware as our Sprint Galaxy S II?
If yes, that's the first step in running one of those ROMs on this device. Next, try to flash it using a known safe recovery. Does it boot? If yes, you're getting closer. What works? What doesn't? How much work is needed to make it something everyone can try if they decide to do the same with their device?
If the hardware is the same, give it a shot and share your experience with us. I would be interested in something like this.

Very interesting, I would be interested also, compared to my sons eyeplop ,my Epic has superior sound quality, so I plan on keeping my Epic touch after I upgrade.
