[Q] Customizable Quicksettings in HTC Sense - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I have a question concering the Quicksettings part in the notification bar of HTC Sense ROMS. Is there any possibility to customize the entries? Like in MIUI with lots of settings? I'm missing the 2G/3G switch most. This is the only thing that prevents me from using a HTC Sense ROM.
Many thanks in advance!

Am I the only one who is interested in an individual quicksettings notification bar?

If those quicksettings are the same as those in Redux 2, then no I dont think anyone got that far with it. This is why i prefer notification power widgets

You can modify Quick Settings, but it's quite an enterprise. Check out this thread.

Hello rootSU and TVTV,
have many thanks for your replies! Especially for the link. Now it's time for reading Btw. which notification powerwidgets do you use?

[Q] Wifi/GPS/Mobile/Profile Icons in Top Bar

Hi,
Is there any ROM or App which has the function to add GPS/Wifi/Mobile Data/Profile Toggles (on/off) into the top status bar of the HTC desire?
Basically, I have these four toggles as 1x1 icons as I use them alot, but they take up alot of real estate, and I think I have seen somewhere examples of these toggles in the top bar, when you drag it down.
Any ideas of what ROM/App offers this would be most appreciated.
Cheers
Rob
Oxygen has it, cyanogenmod also has it i think and most Sense roms(not hd) have a flashable zip, depending on framework version, to add it.

Many thanks for the reply.
I'm looking at Defrost -- any idea if that has it?
And also, if I stick with sense roms, what/where could I find this flashable zip for it?
Thanks again
Not sure but I assume defrost also has it. For the sense add on look in the theme and app section. Should be called something like: mod notification menu power control for sense roms.

Hey,
Thanks - yeah, part of Defrost as I've found out
Thanks again

[Q] Power widgets in DHD?

Hi all! My question is:
Now i have a HTC Desire, but on monday Im going to recieve a DHD. In my Desire, I have Power Widgets Control in the notification area. I want if it is possible to put it into my DHD. It is possible? Or it is a Custom Rom that is in it?
Thanx!

There are Widgets that you can get that have the options or you need to flash a custom rom like revolution hd and flash a theme like mine ;-)
Or you can put mine in. I'm have 5 apps on one line as will as your own customizable right hand key and notification widgets

Could someone just build a mod to get the powerbar widget in de notificationsbar?
Cause I want that and not a hole theme...
This - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947680 - should answer all your questions. It even includes 1% battery and is also available incl auto brightness tweak for saving battery (if you like).
Ah! That's what i'm looking for! Tnx so much!
I would highly recommend Widgetsoid from the Android Market. Even the free version is incredibly customisable. There are a ton of great power/control/toggle widgets included. It's the best set of power widgets I've used by far. I've now removed the HTC ones and the Curvefish ones as Widgetsoid looks nicer and has so much more to offer.

[Q] Toggles for Notification window

any one know a good app that can add these? id like to have the flashlight, wifi, data, and sound modes in my notification pulldown.
Heres the one im using right now. its nice but the icons are massive:
https://market.android.com/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle&feature=search_result
also, i need this to be for an unrooted phone.
thanks in advance for any help.
edit:
forgot to mention this. im looking for the toggles that are similar to the cm7 toggles. that is, the ones that are horizontal across the top. NOT the ones that are in with the actual notifications.
widgetsoid it is free in the market and you don't have to be rooted
thanks. ill give that a try.

You need to be unlocked via htc dev to get eqs.
if you want the original eqs with tabs, they are included in my rom (signature).
Some others like coredroid/Leedroid also got eqs included, just dont got the tabs.
Somwhere in the dev section I posted also a standalone mod with extendesd quicksettings.
Just wondering, but is there one that includes brightness setting?
I'm using j4n87's EQS atm on recommendation from the ARHD thread, but it doesn't seem to have that function..
Or is there a script I can install so it's like the Samsung Galaxy S2 where I just drag left to right on the status bar.

Sense Question

Im running the latest OTA on my dinc, I was wondering if there is an easy way to put the sense 2.1 status bar in sense 1.0 for the convenient quick settings tab, or is that doing some major customization work?
Thanks.

There is quite a bit of work involved in getting the quick settings working on 4.08.605.15. I managed to get qs tab and advanced power menu to work on my rom Touch of blue which is based on 4.08.605.15. However the qs tabs descriptions are wrong, they say low memory or low on space instead of on or off. Everything else is perfect and functional. I had to take a mod from the original gb ota, and modify it to get it to work. I just cant figure out the qs descriptions. There are several system files that need to be edited to get it to work. You could always try my rom. Its mostly stock just with a slight blue theme and the advanced features everyone wants. You can find the link to it in my sig.

Well, I don't know of any easy way to do that, but you should check out some apps. For example, I am running a Jellybean rom and I do not how the quick settings in the status bar. so, what i did is i downloaded an app called "notification toggle" from the play store. It is free, works well, and it does what it needs to. It also has a brightness and volume slider. check it out.
