I just downloaded foxfi on my s3 and its not working. I says its ready but when I try to connect my laptop up it gives me a error on my laptop. I used foxfi before on my samsung transform ultra and it worked no problems. Anyone have any solutions for it or know any other programs to do it without root.
The dl site foxfi.com/bin
Says they're working on a fix for the s3, so not yet

My sprint gs3 is rooted on stock rom with Wifi tether. It stopped working. It shows the network name on my ipad and connects but no Internet. Same thing happens when I try to connect to other devices. How can I fix it? Should I use another app instead?

Galaxy S3 rooted, need Wi-Fi tethering advice
I'm a new & proud owner of this phone, and thanks to advice found on this website, owner of a rooted S3 in less than 30 minutes. But I've been trying all the suggestions for setting up a Wi-Fi tether to little avail.
I just downloaded & installed the mod version that was the last suggestion made. It installed fine, and actually shows up as a SSID but I cannot get my laptop or my old EVO 4G phone to actually connect to it. I left the settings on default, other than changing the password of course.
Any suggestions or hints?

Link that I have posted, still working and my S3 is working with tether app. I have been using my laptop and other devicec without any issue.

so since we still don't have Wifi tethering I wanted to tether my note 2's connection to my old epic 4g touch. but all the apps I've come across assume that if you have a phone profile that is the sending side and the other is the receiving. so then the note and the epic both think they are giving the internet... so is there any way to tether between phones.like with Bluetooth

I recently rooted my gs3 and flashed synergy rom and used the trevE hot spot mod.. off and on for 2 days.. Then I got a text from t mobile saying that my hot spot has been blocked.. When I tried to use it again it would not show up on my computer anymore.. I then flashed darkstarker and jedi5 with the same results.. I had the same results with the foxfi app.. But with the stock hot spot it can connect but no data.. With the hacked trevE mod and foxfi it won't even show up for me to connect anymore.. Did t mobile do this and Is there a way I can fix this?
Please help..

Are you using a VPN or just the hotspot app ?
If the later, use a VPN, too. There is a guide on how to do this in this forum that I followed to do so.
No VPN.. But I'll look it up and see what I can come up with

You must and should have used the vpn hotspot shield and they would have not detected. It requires both for this to work without detection
