I don't think I will but only because of the size. I have small hands and the E4GT is at the top of my comfort level already but the Note is a sweet looking device so I will give it a look if it does come to Sprint. I think the rumored Sprint name is the Galaxy Journal?

Yeah its supposedly called the journal but nothing official. I would.just love the size of the screen. It would be a no-brainer for me. Even this epic touch is a little small for my hands.

Again nothing official but this add for a Sprint feature shows an unbranded Galaxy Note. Maybe there is something to the rumors that Sprint will get it. I believe kc_exactly said as much in another thread.

I believe kc said he had a note a gnex a evo lte and something else. I would drop this phone in a heartbeat for the note/journal. I already struggle trying to type in portrait on this phone.
I always keep my phone on my hip so a case would not be needed by me, but I do understand the concern.

I really would like to get one but I'm having second thoughts about paying full price for a bigger screen. I should, but doubt I will knowing my impulsiveness, wait to see if there's any problems initially like there was with this phone when it first comes out. I will also wonder what kind of specs the g3 well have and when it will be here for us. Those are the two I'm watching. Also, if the note still has a dual core snapdragon when it comes out for us, I might pass. Two steps forward with the hardware then one back with the CPU.

Id buy one first day.

Very true statement. If it domes with an S4pro with the new adreno gpu that thing will be a monster. I know that Samsung will eventually integrate lte in their processors but when is the question.

Yes. Give me one with LTE and any exynos processor and I would be totally satisfied and have no need for anything else for the rest of that contract at least!

With how big the battery is, couldn't they just put an lte radio in there and have a toggle to turn it off and on like wimax? Then it would still be our responsibility to watch the battery. I could totally go for something like that as long as they kept the exynos. But do not count out the S4pro it has the upgraded gpu also with lte built on the die.

If it came with ICS out of the box, and LTE support. Would definitely pick it up.

Because I too will be paying full price (unless I come up with a way to sweet talk an early upgrade out of someone) and since I'm not even 100% sold on getting the phone, I'm definitely going to wait awhile and see how it performs. Also the extra wait time will allow a chance for the SG3 to possibly make an appearance, that's the phone I really want.
But I'm a major gadget whore so there's no guarantee what I will or won't buy regardless the cost. lol

I don't know...I like the Note, but I would need a few things in order to lock myself in for 2 more years for it. First, LTE capability. ICS would be good, but not necessary at launch for me.
It would need an upgraded processor though. With the Evo LTE coming out and the SGS III likely to be announced sometime soon, I don't want to get stuck with a last gen processor for 2 years.
Honestly, I probably won't make a decision on my next phone until I see what Sammy has up their sleeve.

Hell yea , phatman likes phat phones. Im sure the dual core 1.5 will be plenty fast to handle anything. I already get zero lag on this phone.

Amazon has 5000ma extended life batteries by hyperion AND there's a tpu case for the extended battery too.

As far as a phone the SG2 is the biggest i'll go, and I already have a Galaxy Tab 10.1, but if I had neither of these then maybe. After a fondling session at the dealers first....

Best phone so far.

3 weeks ago I sold GSM Galaxy Nexus for $350 and purchased a Galaxy S III on 2 year contract with T-Mobile for $200. I would do it again in a heart beat.

I have owned every Android phone that T-MOUSA has ever released and by far this is the best of them all in every sense. This is the first Android phone that is buttery smooth from the box. I also have always hated Manufacturer UI overlays but have grown very fond of TW 4 or what ever it is called.

absolutely agree....This phone stock is badass and everything just works on top of that is buttery smooth. this is the first stock rom that I stayed on and said wow I could get used to this. I stayed on it for quite a while but then had to venture off to cm10 also our development is getting better by the day. Our cm10 based roms are pretty much daily drivers which is awesome cuz a lot of phones either have audio issues or data issues...again everything pretty much just works. The camera on this phone is so amazing especially in low light that definitely wowed me. To sum it all up it is the best phone on the market imo and the best t-mobile has ever had.... Just get it!!! No right now op get in your car and head to the nearest t-mobile store and grab this bad boy

The rest of the thread kinda caps the overall view of the phone and I'd be lieing to say anything other than perfection. Like mentioned a few times already its power and clarity is just amazing and it even makes you wonder if its even worth rooting from first impressions as this community has such an obvious influence over the systems functionality.
Multitasking is a breeze, it handles everything you throw at it and still offers more when you ask for it. Im glad I bought it as much as everyone else here does.

oh lol it was a customer and we had galaxy nexus on sale for new customers to buy gnex for 299.99 outright. but she was existing customer and i said ill sell mine for 320. and she said ok than i said no i dont want to sell it she left and came back like 10 times and i finally sold it cause i decided to get the s3 and i got it 3 days ago

Hello all!
It'd be nice to get some guidance on my upgrade (Yes, i know some just think.. "aww ****, to hell with all these ppls upgrade posts" so if that person is you, don't bother givin me **** for moving on. everyone does. thanks.)
First of all,
It sucks balls to leave this awesome community.
I've learned a sh*t-ton about my Epic and many other things from some very respected people, who all friggen rock. lol.
Soo, onto my topic & small dilemma.
The upgrade date is Dec. 1st, 2012. Although, I love the style & feel of my Epic, I may be heading towards something a bit different. I have gone down to the Sprint store and checked out some really cool devices but I'm kind of sitting here scratching my head because I'm very picky, luckily though, I was (offf coursee) drawn to the Galaxy S III.
Given its lightening fast 1.5GHz dual-core processors,2100 mAh Lithium Ion battery (9hrs talk time), beautiful (yet kinda big) display (4.8" to be exact), the JB OS, 16/32GB memory, 2GB RAM and other things here and there. Now, the Note II, damn dude, talk about a big display. That one takes the cake. Idk if I could really be happy/satisfied with such a monster display ... 5.5" ?? & I know thats not THAT much bigger than the S III but in hand you'll see the difference.
On the other hand, theS Pen™, 3100 mAh Lithium Ion battery (15hrs talk time), 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos Quad-core processors alone sounds damn good to me. The only thing that bothers me (obviously) is the bigger display.. So I'm considering other devices because these 2 devices give me a headache sometimes lol.
Anyway, my options & opinions are open for anything.. I'm not tooo picky and my mind is NOT set on just those 2 phones.. I was just throwing them out there because I like 'em both. 
One thing..
Don't even think about mentioning the iPhone's,  that is one phone I'd just piss on nd save the p.o.s as a weapon against the zombies, then let those retards have at it (hopefully piss on it too.)
So, apart from that, I'd like to hear some input from you guys n gals.
&maybe even whoever has upgraded from the Epic and is happy with their pick.. Your wisdom, knowledge & opinions are appreciated! either way its all good so let me know!  Thank you in advance.

Why not still stick with keyboards? America variants of S3 ALL SUCKS to me. Now on market you can have LG Mach, Moto Photon Q and (later) Verizon Stratosphere 2... And if I were you I would definitely first consider a Nexus 4 (all powerful and better than S3, though have to wait for a bit)

Trust me bro my eyes have been open for some decent devices with physical keyboards that have at least like dual processors, so far I haven't seen much.
Prolly because I have Sprint nd Sprint doesn't have the biggest selection of pretty good phones (like the Nexus). I wish. I don't see many disadvantages with getting the SGSIII, imo. But everybody feels different.

Your best bet is still the 2 threads in General that I recommended to you. But the S3 is awesome but you will miss the keyboard for a few months. Samsung seems to have listened and fixed everything we complained about of both Epics S and S2.

Yes I've been reading through those threads the last couple days or so. Its hard to say, because if Id like to keep the physical keyboard then, to my knowledge, I have one choice: Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. Unless I were to go with the S III. Are you happy with the S III?

I am very happy with the S3. It is light years ahead of the Epic. I will not lie and say I don't miss my keyboard but the voice to text is really very good and getting used to the on screen keyboard in landscape.

Yeah, exactly, on one side of the coin it's new improved technologies and all. Then on the other, there's no keyboard but I figure i'll get used to that.
Kenny, I believe your just the man for guidance here lol. You have great knowledge on this and you switched from the Epic to the SIII. Like I said in my op, I'm looking for input from someone who has done that.
So I suppose i'm asking you if you think the SIII might be the one for me.. ?

No. They can't give you that price without an eligible upgrade line. You will get used to the keyboard or lack there of. The phone is truly amazing with 4 times the RAM and 16 times the phone storage plus an available sd card slot. When I got it all I did was root and run stock for a month because if was so damn fast and smooth. You won't be disappointed. Call Sprint to see if you can move your upgrade up a week.

I called and got it figured out. I think tmrw my upgrade will be eligible if I pay the $50. If I send my Epic to them, they said I'll get $28 for it and the $50 will be billed to my sprint account next pay. So, basically, if I go for it, I'll be paying $72 for the early upgrade and a new SIII not bad eh? It sounds like a deal. I can't imagine 4x the RAM lol that is a huge improvement, not to mention the other awesome specs and features that come with it.

I LUCKILY received my SIII today, at first they told me they were sold out and I got there an hour after they opened! No one had even gone there and gotten one yet... AND THEY WERE SOLD OUT?! wtf?..
So, since they love me oh so dearly there, they had a couple stashed away and grabbed one for me. Like I said, luckily. lol
I had a question though, maybe you have the answer lol, do you know if the SIII is root-able withoutt Odin via starting the Odin flash counter ? Or should I not worry about it and just buy a usb jig when the time comes?

Use Odin to root then Triangle Away to reset the flash counter.

Ok im really sorry but I dont ****ing get this there are 100 threads about if we are going to switch to gs4 or all that crap this phone has nothing to with galaxy line not even close I dont know why people asking all this question and what makes you ****ing think that with gs4 coming out they are going to drop the price, I hope they wont drop the price and actually raise it because I hate seeing cheap people on this section.

On the box it's called the galaxy note 2 so it has something to do with the galaxy line. OP, Sprint won't drop the price for awhile. Maybe never. If you want it asap then look to other dealers or buying it used.

I doubt there's going to be a price drop on the Note 2. Not till the Note 3 anyways.. You guys are comparing a phablet to a phone. Price drop for the GS3? Sure, you can already get one practically free..

It's true. If you can't afford it at a certain price then don't buy it. But that's probably why they want to see it go down in price, because they can't afford higher price. Nothing wrong with that. Plus I saw an article that said s3 and note 2 aren't far off in costs to make. In the end the reason for price difference is the cell company trying to make more money cause phone is bigger. I guess it could cost them more but either way just look at the prices for the note 2, started at $299 for new customers, about 3 months and new customers were able to get it for $99 from Amazon.

He's not making up anything man. It IS called a phablet. Yes it's a phone too but it was designed as a tablet. I know the word phablet sounds really stupid but that's the chosen word I guess. How many phones out there have an SPen or have the features ours has? Think about it. Our device already does more than the gs4 ever will and once we get all the new software it will be even better.
Btw op watch the prices on Amazon.com. I got mine for $199 and I've seen it go as low as $169. It's different almost every day.

Well seeing for the last 2 weeks on Amazon it's been at $249 maybe it will hit $99 sometime around when the Note 5 comes out for the IDIOTS that want to wait that long! I'm happy for what I have at $199 thank you very much!

What is a Sprint S3 worth these days?

I hope this question isn't too annoying or vague, but I'm considering a trade offer from Craigslist and I want to know if it is "worth it" or not. The offer is an iPhone 4S (I know, not Android, but I'm curious..) for a trade with my S3 - no extra cash either way. I'd prefer an iPhone 5 due to the larger screen but is that too high of a "request" when trading off my S3? I'd just hate to wait for replies for an iPhone 5 trade if the two devices are not even comparable enough to trade from the beginning.

Ok ok lol. I still have an Android tablet and will be back as soon as KLP is out just getting bored. And it would have been funnier if you put "trader" instead... ok bad pun.

The S3 depreciates in value quicker than an iPhone does. But I do think he should be offering you cash + the 4s for your s3.
My friend has an EVO LTE and he got an iPhone 4S + $125 offer the other day. I'd avoid that trade if I were you.

Lol whatever as far as your question goes I would assume the s3 is worth more and I would be asking for money considering the s3 is the superior phone

It'd be a nearly equal trade, possibly a little more expensive for a used iPhone 5 over an S3. But I haven't done much off contract trading so I'm not necessarily the best one to ask.

Honestly I would do straight up trade for an i5 maybe throw in a few bucks if any but of course this is based on opinion.

If your getting bored with your s3, I'm not sure how an iphone will cure that aside from apps, iphones are designed to be boring. Prolly just me tho lol....

Exactly. Say it ain't so! iOS is the most locked down, boring, unchangeable thing you could image being on a phone. Flash a ROM or something. And I would only except a 5 no 4s. :thumbdown:

If you're bored with the S3, time to start flashing ROMs. CM is a lot different experience, so is AOSP/AOKP.
