Ok, so I'm currently trying to unlock a DINC 2 for my friend and I'm using my SIM card to test the phone. I also have an iPhone 3gs on iOS 5. I can make phone calls with Droid and send text messages, however, the iPhone is recieving the messages that the droid normally would. Any suggestions with this and the process of unlocking as well?
Thanks
Ok, I fixed that problem. But I'm curious as to how I get the EDGE network working on the phone. Also I need to mention that I put the ATT sim card in and can send texts and make phone calls but can't access the web. So now I need to know how to get the EGDE network working.
The reason is because the ATT iphone has a different radio for data that the dinc2 doesnt have.

can anyone tell me if there is some sort of program that can forward texts? I have 2 sims... and during work hours i use one sim... if someone txts me on the other sim (not in use), is there wany way which i could have it fowarded to the sim im actively using at the time?
is there such a thing around?
Nope, the phone is accessing the sim and allowing it to access the network, so the message for the 2nd sim is sitting in the carriers system waiting for your sim to log onto the network.
Either get another phone, cheap one, or live with it...
So I have the international Version of the HTC ONE X on the AT&T Network. For some reason when I go to send messages sometimes it works and then other times it just says "unable to send message". I do notice the signal going to 3G then it says H and then Edge. I'm pretty new to the android ordeal so not sure of what to expect. Can anyone help me out? I also rooted the phone and used a few roms but it didn't help. I am back on the stock rom which I made a backup of. Any ideas? Anyone else having problems with sms and mms on AT&T with the HTC ONE X.

Apn issue I think. You probably didn't add the apn needed for mms.
Google att apn mms

Hey!!! I did put the ATT APN. Looked at a few Youtube videos also just to make sure I am on the right path and they all seem to use the same ATT apn. I restarted phone a few times and put airplane mode to shut off the signal then turn it on just to try like a reset that way and nothing. Sometimes it works and messages go through and sometimes it doesn't work. Makes me loco lol thanks for writing.
does at&t have this enabled on their end? for some it was a matter of going to at&t and having it straightened out.
I did call ATT and they asked for the IMEI of the phone. I gave it to them and they told me everything was "provisioned" and should work well. I did use APN settings. I restarted the phone thinking maybe that could be an issue but it did not work. Any other ideas?
you could try downloading another app like handcent, which gives you a little more control over settings (including much larger mms size) than the resident app and try to use that as a way of double checking the problem. i'm on at&t prepaid with an int'l one x and don't text much. but when i got on the network, i sent a couple of texts and mms just to see if the service was working well. seemed to be fine for me.
btw, is your micro-sim new from at&t or maybe transferred from an iphone? some former iphone users who transferred sims have reported problems with texting/email. i think they had to make sure their iphones were wiped first before transferring the micro-sim over.
hey guys,
i have a verizon droid incredible 2 that has s-off and is rooted, but still using the stock 2.3.3 rom. i was going abroad to visit some family, so i called up verizon, gave them my IMEI number, and voila my phone was unlocked and i could use foreign sim cards.
when i was abroad though, i could not get data to work for my phone, but i was able to make and receive calls with the new sim. after i used my cousin's phone to see if my data pack was working, her phone got a message from the sim carrier which had all the apn settings. my phone though never got the apn settings. after reading here i saw on one post that with unlocked verizon phones you have to enter the new apn's manually.
since this can be quite a nuisance, are there any custom roms for the inc2 that, once installed, can pick up the apn settings automatically? or if not, an app or any other way the inc2 can pick up the designated apn's for the new sim automatically?
(sorry if this is a noob question , i couldnt find an answer anywhere else)
Hello, I bought my zenfone 2(Z00AD) recently and tried to use the SIM card from my other phone which worked on every phone I have owned but oddly enough it will not work at all on the Zenfone 2. All that comes up is the signal bars and and x with no indication of bar signal. I can receive voicemail oddly enough but it will not call, receive calls, texts or data.
Can someone help me with this problem, I have tried many of the apns and it doesn't work.

You have to call Metro PCS and give them your IMEI # so they can provision it onto their service. :good:

Alright, thank you, will do that tomorrow. Was a bit confused because in the past, just put the SIM card in and it worked.
No problem, I had to call my wife's in since she has Metro PCS.
I have At&t and it worked with just installing the sim card but my Speeds are under 9 Mbps D/L and 2 Mbps up
I am new so forgive me if im posting in the wrong place.
Heres my need....i busted my S5, so I took my sim card out & placed it in my Galaxy tab 3, hoping to use it as my phone until I can replace my S5. I rooted the tab successfully using instructions on this forum. Now how do i unlock the calling feature so i can receive & make calls using my at&t cell service, not wifi app?
I have seen post about international firmware, but all the download links are dead.
My tablet is activated & running 4.4.2, i do not have a stock phone icon/app & only dial pad is hangouts.
Please help im desperate & been phoneless for almost 2 weeks.
I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this but as far as I remember the ATT modem is Data only, you can get text messages by installing GOSms (i think that's the only one I've gotten texts working with) but no calls, the default dialer app that's hidden only allows to send codes and wont allow you to place or receive calls, I've tried replacing it with another dialer from a different rom and didnt have any luck
