So I created an account on here a few days ago, and started a thread about using a non-stock dpi and tried to find some solutions to some of the app incompatibility I was having. However, the thread was deleted, and my post count was reset to 0. What gives?
Purty sure it has to do with your post count. I don't know the threshold but you must have at least I think 10 posts B4 you can start a thread. If I'm wrong some one plz correct me.
Also search alil there are plenty of threads about your same issue.
Search can be your friend. And keep ya from being set on FIRE.
Oh yeah and pissin off Jerdog.lol.

Also changing your DPI will result in some apps being incompatible.
Yeah, I kinda knew that changing the DPI would do that, and i switched to a different dialer and golauncher, and that helps a lot of the time. It was just the in call dialer that was hard to use and the music app FC's.
I'm not a completely new android user, I had a sensation before and got rather into the whole ROM/Kernel flashing and whatnot, but had to switch carriers, so now its a new phone, new things to try and new problems to solve. lol.

my phones screen keeps coming on while not being used, i used to think it was only happening when it was charged to %100 but today im noticing it is just doing it whenever. any help or ideas?
im running the latest aokp+franco kernel
Wierd, I have never heard of that before. Did you try reflashing aokp? I know it's a pain but would probably sort it.
ill try it after work tonight. could it be the kernel? and should i wipe everything?
It may be the kernel. To check just reflash a different kernel. That way you don't have to wipe.
If that doesn't work reflash your rom and yeah wipe data, cache and davlik.
If that works update this post
ok, quick side question, is that apex kernel good? and where is it i have never seen it
I have been using it a month and it's animal!
It's on here but can't find it right now...go here instead

i think it may have been removed cause i seriously dont see it lol
Yeah that was my fault sorry.

It is available to download here. Let me know what you think of the kernel and thanks for the thanks lol
just flashed it, hopefully this helps my issue..
should i use setcpu? whats a good governor to use?
is there any way to hide the soft keys when playing games?
it will be awesome if the devs do something for this
Bump! I wanna know too!
It can only be done right now from the app if its coded in to support the ICS soft keys option. The stock video player aswell as some developer video players support the option but its upto the app/game developer whether they add it or not.
Its also being worked on as an option in AOKP and apparently should be available soon in AOKP Roms.
If you want a temp solution then see *THIS* thread but its not something you can switch between on the fly you would have to enter CWM to flash between the stock/modified apk to enable or disable the soft keys.
Mark.
Thanks alot for the answer. I also found other threads about the same topic. I understand that this needs to be coded for the app as you said. I hope theese n64 emulator devs would add this in the future
---------- Post added at 10:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:51 PM ----------
Also, I wouldn't mind the softkey to disappear in the emulator making the screen "stretch" itself either. This would also work for me

Its been implemeted into the Power Menu so that you can switch the soft keys on or off at will but the dev still wants to clean it up a bit so we may see it in AOKP Roms in a week or so but it will definitely be here soon

Play store says its not compatible. Has anybody gotten this game working?
I am running stock Note II and my phone says it's not compatible either. By the looks of it, it's supposed to work, but I'm not sure if they restricted it for some reason.

Edit:
Looks like the issue is widespread and on Developer side according to this > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2059297
I downloaded a copy of the apk and it worked just no sound for some reason...
I got it to work by changing the build prop to galaxy nexus lines and changing it back after purchase. I also submitted a ticket to rockstar and they are going to whitelist it but no eta. Makes no sense to me but that is their answer for now.
thats why you get it from other sources.. because they work :good:
Is there a an app to change the default system sounds in Android ive looked around and I've only seen apps that allow you to change ringtones or notifications I want for example to be able to change the low battery notification sound to some guy yelling charge it!
Thank you
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
There's no app because it's different across phones...I'm sure one if the devs (like @rompnit or @freeza) knows where/which file it is that gets played on low battery, and you could then just go in and replace it with your own file
The files for sounds are in system/media/audio/ui. I use root explorer, read/write enabled. You're file needs to be a .ogg audio file. Then find the file you want to replace and rename the new one to match that, and just copy/paste to overwrite it. I do it every time I flash a new rom because the "bubble" sound for 'screen touch' sounds annoys me.

I got to say I love the XDA forum everything I know about modding android I've learned from here; Those were dark days when I had to mod my PSP with no community help. :good:
No problem, I learn something new from someone here almost daily. It's a great forum.
The only sound I can't find that I would love to change is the dialer button sounds. I've searched all over. That bubble sound drives me nuts.

Lol. You know it might be included in the phone app itself
That's true, I might need to dig around in there.

Haha no problem, wouldn't have either and didn't
I was looking through this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2071970)
And the guy in the 1st reply talked about the bubble dial tone being in the SecContacta.apk
I've never messed with changing apks before. I'm assuming I unpack it, change what I want, rezip, and install. I think I might try to make a zip that changes this and the touch screen sounds. It will be my first attempt so it should be interesting.

Decompile, recompile, then take the original and delete the res, resources.arsc, and classes.dex files and move those over from the new APK you compiled (open both with something like 7zip)
You need to do this to preserve the system signature...otherwise you'll get bootloops or FCs
Thanks, I'll give it a shot this weekend. Any particular program I need to use to decompile? Or one you recommend? I was just searching and there is a lot of info. I feel like a newb all over again, lol.

Q&A for [ROM][5.0.2][SM-T320] Unofficial RESURRECTION REMIX_LP v5.3.9
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][5.0.2][SM-T320] Unofficial RESURRECTION REMIX_LP v5.3.9. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
T-320: crdroid 20150323 to Resurrection Remix_LP 5.39
vasumit et. al.
Thanks for your great work on T-320 Lollipop!:good:
I'm running crdroid-5.02 20150323-mondrian wifi and it's running quite smoothly (except for the "Kernel is not Seandroid enforcing" message on boot & the Recent Apps button not working.)
Do you have any special instructions (suggestions) for moving from the crdroid Rom to Unofficial RESURRECTION REMIX_LP v5.3.9?
hi.
Hi. Loved the stitching. Thank you for your work. After shutdown, sleep, do not connect automatically to wi-fi. In airplane mode and without it.
How to solve the problem?

Hello
Can you tell me if this rom work on tab4 sm-t530nu
And if is yes witch recovery hy need
Tanks!!
Thank you very much for your effort! It is a very nice and smooth rom. Super happy about the FC keyboard switching issue has been fixed.
I helped my friend to install it on the smt-320 with 4/09 rom and he cannot connect more than 1 bluetooth devices. He has to disconnect the first one in order to get the other one working. I haven't confirm this issue, i figured if i mentioned it and it may help others.
Thank you
Well, here's something interesting. Had a working install of the 409 version of Remix. Flashed the 414 over it and my Google login completely disappeared, nowhere to be found in Settings -> Accounts. Reflashed gapps and it's back. Not sure if 414 wiped it out, but nothing else changed. Weird.
AI.keyboard and Lastpass working normally, thanks for that fix.

Thanks Sumit Sen, this version is really fast and seem to be stable after running since 9 hours (couple of bugs in settings but not important) and with rotation and gps tiles, it's my ,best antutu benchmark 42,273, it's not only a number, the performance is really better than others rom, question: what "cm" represent in the name this rom cm-Resurrection_Remix_LP_v5.4.2-20150420-mondrianwifi
Is that a cm base?
Continue your great job, I will be their for your next release
Fixed
Hi there, I want to use this rom. I have TWRP installed. Is a factory reset enough or do I have to use the advanced wipe settings? If I have to use the advanced settings which partitions do I have to wipe?
Thanks in advance.
can i use normal lp gapps?
Got redirected to this page since I don't post much... But if anyone reads this, it is a fantastic ROM.
Nice ROM, but I must say, I cannot use it because It for some reason makes my Tab REALLY hot. Even by the time it is booted up. it's extremely hot.

Yeah I got redirected here too, wtf. I don't think redirecting our posts until we reach a certain amount is an effective way of preventing spam. I do, however think it's an effective way of getting me to spam 10 posts so I can actually USE the forums. Thanks a lot... Ohhh AND I have to wait 4 minutes between each post. So it's going to take at least 40 minutes for me to actually use these forums. Smooth move guys.

great rom so far
Loving it so far. Have some tweaks/questions/requests but I'll definitely run this one for a long time either way.
Issues:
Lock screen is not able to be turned off completely (this functionality would be nice to have again)
Lock screen button shortcuts cannot be turned off completely
Bluetooth options/connectivity settings are more limited than previous roms
User accounts cannot be turned off completely
User accounts will not save photos when applying them to your account
Thanks for the updates!
That the good one
Rr 5.4.3,
Just change, keyboard and camera, all other features runs perfect, stable and fast, best rom for my galaxy tab pro 8.4 for the moment,
Which has more features, resurrection remix or your temasek build?
Play services problem
I'm running temasek since may 18 without any problem, i don't understand why many guys have problems with Google play services, i did a test today, TWRP 2.8.6.1 clean install with tk modular pico gapps(94 megs) , reinstated all apk from playstore, everything run fine. Links for gapps that i used

The download links seem to be dead. Are there active links posted? I used the search tool but did not find any. Just got the tab pro this week and hoping to try out the rom. Thanks.
