YES!!! I LOVE taking Macro shots and thats the one limitation of these camera phones. They can get close, but not close enough

Do you mean like a usb scope as an attachment via host or a lens over the camera? I've been thinking about trying the former lately.

This is why you dont necessarily need to wait for auto focus to finish before taking a picture. The cat has a laser eye. No camera ever before could capture this.

Lol
That's what it was meant for, capturing those rare moments such as when someone just lasers another

Nice positive story and a beautiful baby
Congratulations and enjoy your non-sleeping time
The camera gets WAY too much flack. I'm not a pro and can obviously take better pics with the wife's DSLR, but I can't complain about this camera and I'm the type who can ***** about anything!
Very beautiful child. Hope you don't lose too much sleep...
Yes! I agree. Father of two little ones that won't sit still for more than a second, the shutter speed is a godsend.

What's your favorite lte compatible case? Pics please

Sorry for the double threads but I figured this will be better to get opinions. Can everyone say their favorite case for the lte version gnex? Pictures would be great. Also is it a dust magnet? My last case actually scratched my phone a lot by drawing dust into the case.

That's a great work case I'd imagine. I can't seem to find a nice small case
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Unfortunately it seems that the case makers jumped on the gsm version and assumed the lte version would be close enough.
Even with its problems, the ultra hybrid is still my favorite. It's pulled away a touch at the top and the back does get a little loose when hot, but it's not really that bad. I like how it doesn't have cutouts for the buttons, which I like. It feels the least like a case of any I've seen.

Galaxy Nexus Waterproof case?

Does one exist?
I haven't done any extensive search but I looked the other day and stopped at some kind of plastic pouch.
So I don't think so. I'd try eBay, maybe some Korean or Chinese seller has one.

Search amazon for the iottie. Its the closest thing we have

I wouldn't trust a ziploc bag to last anytime submerged. MAYBE against splashes, but I'd rather use something more reliable.

While those are. Both nice, unless u are using PGM which needs a comvatibke corner. How would u turn the screen on and off. And the aqua skin is almost identical to the iottie, except u only get one at 1/3 the price

I personally have taken my phone under water using a generic water proof bag. They were 3 for $10 USD. the only problem I had was if the water put pressure on the screen it would go crazy..... I just added more air to it and held it so I had to push through the air to select what I want. Ie picture or video

Here's a short video I took so u can get an idea of how it is underwater also.

Well but the skin is definetely not made for a daily use i reckon, I mean to make sure it is 100% waterproof you always have to use a new strip of sealing tape after charging, right?
Would be good to have a modified battery cover for contactless charging. I´m starting to work on a diving base for the next 2 months, and would be good to have something covering my GNx from water.
I wish lifeproof would make a case for us.

I remember reading somewhere, probably here, that there just isn't enough demand for it

This is true. The lifeproof case cost over a million USD to develop, and they lucked out that the iPhone 4s was compatible. Not nearly enough people own enough Gnex to make it profitable, plus the GSM would need a completely different case from the LTE. FInally, my own experience with the case sucked. You can only take it off/on 50x before it breaks (not waterproof) and it destroys sensitivity. It's something you only want when theres water around, but you can only take it off/on 50x which sucks. Also, you have to test it every time before you submerge it. The waterproof bags are way better IMO.

Spring sound when you tap camera area on the back?

Does anyone else get the springy sound when you tap the camera area of the nexus?

N4 has the same thing. Think its the volume rocker or power button.

I have the same thing. Its normal just the camera a tad bit loose or something. Not a deal breaker by any means.

Thanks!
Yea there was another thread about this, most people said it's the camera. My parent's ipad does the exact same thing.

Its the focus lens, means its a good camera.

Mine doesn't do this. *Knock on wood,* but my n7 seems to be flawless. O was super worried with all of the QC issues, and seemed to have really lucked out. I got a 32gb launch model from BestBuy the Saturday after it was released.
