I have searched and not found any similar threads.
The Defy screen is very nice in terms of pixel density - 269dpi, with a full RGB matrix.
This value is obviously a bit higher than the default LCD density set in the build.prop file which is the regular 240dpi setting for HDPI devices.
Has anyone else set theirs to 270?
I set mine to 270 this morning, and absolutely loving the change - bits of text that before seemed just a little bit small are now great - superbly legible. Labels (set to large) in Maps are now much better, Status bar and notification area items are great.
The only issues I've had so far have been with widgets. Does anyone know a way around this?

Can I change the density of certain things, ie: keyboard, notification bar? If so how. I like to have my screen set to 180 or 200 but would like to further tweak my screen for my personal preference.
You cannot change the density of certain things. But you can get smaller keyboards using apps like better keyboard etc
I seem to have a problem with replacing smaller icons in .apk files and getting them to display correctly.
for example i was trying to turn the power savings bar (quick shortcuts widget) blue instead of green. i can replace the colors in settings.apk/res/drawable-hdpi with no problem and it does change the color but i can't seem to keep the icon smooth.
using photoshop cs2 if i replace color and save with no other changes the icon is not nearly as crisp.
larger program icons are no problem and seem to look very good.
but smaller icons for the buttons such as the screen timeout icons end up slightly blurred compared to the original. this happens even if i select the blank areas first and invert and create a new layer.
im sure it's something stupid a setting ect. im missing but if anyone has an idea id be appreciative.
only seems to happen or be noticeable with the smaller 47 x 47 icons.
doesn't seem to happen on even the 48 x 48 icons or larger.
Hmmmmm seems i found a fix. its a little more work but creating my own larger icon and rescaling down to the smaller size seems to work quite well.
a little more work but at least i get the effect i wanted.
still would like to know if anyone has an ez way to just recolor an image.
I found that they changed some color setting in new kitkat update. Screen become darker and contrast between black and white drastically amplified. To be honest, it looks like new battlefield game and I'm not very happy with it.
The question is how fullscreen color adjustment works?
As I understood that is a kernel function that used for gamma correction, color inversion and the "screen mode".
Is it applicable for all devices or it is something samsung specific?
Enlighten me, please!
It is possible you have the default to Dynamic after upgrading to 4.4.2.
You can change the display color properties in settings, display.
I set mine to movie and leave it, unless I really need to see pictures with proper gamma then I change it accordingly.
I have been customising my Bronze 8.4 and have it looking pretty funky now IMHO.....

However I want to adjust the Icon Label Font Size (exclusively....I don't want to adjust the system font to achieve it....)
I have Xposed installed and have googled around fairly wide but cannot see a way to ONLY adjust the Icon Font Size...is there a way?
Apps look zoomed in afte the emui 9 update. Keyboard, status bar icons and notification bar look huge! It looks like when the resolution is lowered to 720p, but it's not. Text and display sizes are set to lowest. It just looks so weird. Anyone else has this problem?
I am facing the same issue. Looks bad to me
