I have a GSM galaxy nexus and 2 stock 1750 batteries
I need to charge both overnight so one is charging in my phone and the other I need a battery dock or something.
Is there any available that charge just the battery?

I have one of these, works great, doubles as a phone stand:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110804935295&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:CA:1123
I can recommend this one:
http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Multi-Purpose-Universal-Sensation-Thunderbolt/dp/B004B8ECR4
Then you don't need to buy a new battery charger every time you buy a new phone.
I don't have that specific model being from europe - but I do have the one from the same company made for the EU market.
There's this nifty usb socket on it which works both ways. If you plug the charger in to a 110V socket it can also charge your mobile phone. And if you plug it in to your computer (or anything else with a usb-out) you can charge the battery from it.

I lost my usb charger and bought another one with a output of 2100 Ma. But he is charging only when the tab is off and only 60% of its capacity. Any ideas please

Hmm, sounds like it doesnt keep up to its promisses. Did you measure it, if it realy puts out 2100 ?
I`d say it doesnt. My guess .....maybe 600-700.
If I ever lose my usb charger, I would simply get another original one from ebay to avoid any charging issue... just my 2 cents
USB Charger
If you can you should flash pershoots kernel, one of its many features is that it enables charging from any charger.

It's likely that your charger ISN'T delivery 2.1A as you need to turn the tablet off.
Second possibility is that the charger is detected as a USB port, I have tried a few chargers and some generic ones are having this issue even though the output current is larger than 1A.
However, allowing it to stand for another 6-8 hours should allow you to recharge the battery to full.
Or you can just go get a real Samsung one from Samsung themselves. I wouldn't trust 3rd party USB chargers. Batteries can get messed up with unknown makes.
Rather stick to original parts, it's not worth stuffing up your battery and having to spend even more money

In trying to get a second charger for myself, I discovered that those chargers don't seem to be readily available at the regular sources, Bestbuy etc... I ended up getting the charger from a Verizon store for $25. It is a Verizon branded charger but it works perfectly.
Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys knew of a good replacement for the samsung wall charger. I lost mine and I want to get a replacement wall charger that pumps out at 1A or whatever the original one was. Thanks for the help guys!
I'd stick with the Samsung original, it charges so fast! In less than two hours back to full battery, I've substituted using other chargers that comes with other phones at work and it's definitely slower

Here's the extra one I ordered, works just as good as the one that came with my phone, they seem to be identical

I like to use motorola's chargers, you can find them on amazon: "Motorola micro USB charger". They're more or less identical to the samsung ones besides the more rectangular form factor. I also recommend the motorola car charger if you're in the market for that. Both are quick charge and fill a dead battery in 1-2 hours.
I'm going on vacation to a foreign country, and I need a portable battery charger for the road for my Galaxy Nexus. Can anyone recommend a good portable battery charger.?

I have the Mili Candy, great for a quick charge. On their website is a bunch of others that will give you a longer charge.
http://milipower.com/product-category/android/
I have seen cheaper ones then the mili but I can't recommend any as I don't use them.

I have one of these from Amazon and works great with AA or 9 volt batteries. LINK
AA batteries should be available or you can just buy rechargeable ones (thats what I do)
Edit: This device doesnt recharge your rechargeable batteries, you would have to take along a charger for those as well which might be too cumbersome for you. Either way, just another option.
Then when you get home you can use it as a regular charger.
Have a safe trip!
Does anyone know of a decent (1Amp) charger for a spare stock/extended battery that is actually working well? I've used the ebay cheapos and one from Hyperion[http://amzn.com/B00851MEB4] but they are either take forever to charge(0.5A or less output current) or falsely claim the battery is full whereas the phone says otherwise?
I presume the Samsung charging system will be a good fit, but i'm not sure if it will take extended battery.
bump? anyone know of any 1A chargers for a spare battery?
I bought the OEM battery kit. It comes with a spare battery and a charger along with a built in dock. The dock doesn't charge your phone only the battery . It's about $35 . Not bad for an OEM battery and charger .

I use NewTrent 6600 mAh that has 2 USB outputs one at 1A and one at 2.1A. It also gets charged with a MicroUSB cable, so one cable for charging and providing power, very nice.

So you charge using the 1 amp or 2.1amp?
I'm actually using for wall charger type of device where you just insert the spare battery. Something like this: http://amzn.com/B008I449AC

I have used a charger that looked almost identical to that one for my Evo 4G extended batteries before I upgraded to the Galaxy S III. It worked well so I would expect this one to work for the GSIII batteries.
I ended up ordering this one to use with my GSIII batteries. It arrives today.
Hey let us know if this one charges to 100%

It looks like the answer is: No!
I charged my battery (Stock Samsung battery) overnight. This morning the charger was indicating that the charging was complete. When I swapped out the batteries the phone is reporting 93% (4110mV). I am going to try again tonight with my other battery (also stock).
Samsung makes an official spare battery charger/dock that comes with a spare battery. You can find it on amazon for around $35.
I got Momax U. Pack Charger Pack ( Charge + X-LEVEL PDA Battery ) from NCIX.COM....is better then the samsung one.
I love how my Nexus 7 is able to charge my phone very quickly. Do you use the N7 charger on your Gnex without problems?

your other thread you started asks about your phone smelling like burnt plastic. maybe you should use the charger it came with and see if it still does that
I don't use the N7 charger on my phone regularly. I used it last time I went on a trip because the original was at the house.

should be okay. your n7 charger provides more current than the standard gnex charger. the phone's charging circuitry will only draw in as much current as it can take without damaging itself.
ever single electronic device i own i charge with the charge with the charger they came with
I have random chargers laying around everywhere. At work I charge with my old Nokia n86 charger. All good.
Using the HTC charger for a few years that came with my G2

Same here...zero issues. When traveling, I charge my Nexus 7 with the Samsung charger from the GNex...and no issues there either.

I been using my old HTC charger for my galaxy nexus on an off for the last 12 months with no problem, I never heard of anyone damaging their phone using other phone chargers that fit, if you lose your charger an buy a generic charger they work the same way without needing one made by Samsung, I know most phone manuals will tell you to only use charger supplied with phone but they always says that an rather you get a replacement through them.I also use to lend my gnex charger to other people at work who owned HTC phones all the time an they have no problem with it.

The entire idea is to have the micro usb system universally, all manufacturers / os. Only apple messes it up.
I use the charger it came with and also several other generic ones (car, work, second office) and all seem to charge fine with no signs of excessive heat. What about charging time? I just came from the HTC Thunderbolt and would leave it charging over night. I thought I read that is not recommended to do with the Nexus. Does anyone leave theirs charging over night?

I plug my galaxy nexus in every night before I go to bed to charge overnight since I got it last December that way its fully charged an ready to go when I go to work every morning, I have done that with every phone I have owned , I don't see how that's a problem.
GNex ~ N7 charger :good:
N7 ~ GNex charger
MicroUSB plugs are universal so all should work fine. Only time it'd be bad is if the wiring in the outlet you plugged into is done improperly.
It should be fine, as someone else stated earlier, the N7 charger is capable of supplying more current, but in simple terms it's a "suck" rather than a "blow"
The devices will all have regulator circuitry in to prevent damage.
The other way around is tedious (charging the N7 from a GNex charger...zzz)
