Its way too expensive i suggest u to buy logitech z110 speakers they are laptop speakers but they also work on the xperia arc s i tried them and they work just fine and u plug the 3.5mm jack in phone's jack and u haveto buy micro to normal usb connector so u can plug them .On mine arc s they play around 2h and they should be around 10 15 euros MAX and the quality is awesome

of course, your logitech are much cheaper. But: can your logitech wake you up at morning or show you the actually time?

Why do they need to do that when the phone already shows that stuff Speakers are about the quality of the sound not fancy wake up things

[Q] Speaker Dock?

Any recommendations for a good speaker dock? Looking for something I can use to stream Google music or Sirius XM from my phone through while outdoors/traveling.
I haven't really seen anything that I can actually set/dock the E4GT in with a speaker but I have a 3.5 mm adapter I can use to plug in with. Curious as to what you guys are using. Thanks!
Got cash? They have BT and 3.5mm audio in. I'm not sure if they support audio over the micro-usb connection. Seems rather overpriced IMO.
I personally use a cheap mini-speaker with 3.5mm in, similar to the Scosche Boomcan. Fits in my computer bag and under $20. I have yet to find a compact universal speaker dock, with an adjustible/universal micro-usb port. Please post if you discover one.
Edit: This one is interesting, but no bluetooth for $99? No thanks.
I use this. I sale these as well. Me, my gf, and several friends I've sold them to love them! why worry about a dock when you can use Bluetooth
Thanks for the responses guys.. I am really digging that Philips speaker dock, esp if they have it at my local Best Buy but @ 135 dang!
I use a jawbone jambox and love it

Replacement earphones for Sony Ericsson MW-600 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

I've had two MW600's in my time, great bit of kit imo, only problem is, when the earphones eventually die I haven't been able to find any replacement earphones with a really short lead, only ones with standard sized leads, thus defeating the point of bluetooth earphones >.<
I've emailed Sony/Sony Ericsson and they said they don't stock them and to send them in for repair lol! Anyone had this problem/got any ideas? Cheers
short lead head phones
The only ones I can find are the Sennheiser Sport range
Sennheiser/Adidas CX 680 High-Performance 60cm plus 60 cm extension with volume
Sennheiser PMX 680 neck band head phones same extension
Sennheiser/Adidas OMX 680 High-Performance Stereo Clip-On Earphones
don't get the similar ones with the i after the name they don't have the extension

Looks like they have quite long leads to me? Just to clarify, I'm looking for a replacement for just the earphones, not the whole device - Cheers
They are in 2 parts they are plugged into the volume control not super short but not super long like some head phones. Main bit without extension is 60cm.
Cable length - 0.6 m symmetric + 0.6 m extension cable with integrated volume control

U should try any monitor earphone from Sony
I mean Asian versions, Japan HK TW SG etc.
All short leads
The adidas ones look good, but they're so expensive! Not really viable buying them just to replace the earphones, pretty much the same price as buying a new MW600
Do you have a link to the ones you're talking about staynam, I can't find them?
Sony MDR-AS30G 60 cm plus 60 cm extension
Sony MDR-AS40E
Philips SHQ1017
some of the jays headphones are short leads too
Here's what your looking for, I have been using them for music & they are great.

the HPM-77 is probably the same headphones that came with the MW-600 though I am not a big fan of the asymmetric lead length

[Q] ION earphones w/ mic

Ok so I saw this from the Xperia S board
Splinter153 said:
Hi Guys
So after painstakingly reading through every message in this thread to ensure I do not paste a duplicate answer, I can inform you I have found the true problem regarding headphones.
Straight from the words of a Sony technician:
The cause of the incompatibility: Sony Xperia S supply 2V (Volts) purely from an energy consumption perspective. The microphone in the boundled Sony Mobile headset is Electret microphones that only require a 2V feed. For other suppliers (e.g. IPhones headsets) they can use MEMS microphones that require a minimum of 2,7V.
In order for fully compatibility, Sony smartphones need to supply a minimum of 2,7V. This requires a feature/HW change.
A feature/HW change has been submitted to be implemented in coming products.
So moral of the story is, Sony screwed us all...

Does this mean I can't use a mic similar to my X10? I tried using them earlier and I now know they dont work with my ION because Sony went with the CTIA format. So what do you guys use for a mic? I'm wanting to use a mic similar to the one that came with the X10, by that I mean I want to be able to plug in any earphones I want with the mic since earphones eventually break with one side not working. Thanks.
I'll check the ones I have. I have a set I got from my dell streak and the ones from my xperia s.
Sent from my LT28at using Tapatalk 2
thanks because I use google hangouts with friends but the ion isn't exactly loud, even with xloud on
May not be exactly what you're looking for but I use Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds with the mic.
http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/headphones/earphones-and-earbuds/inkd
I've used these for probably the last 2 years, great sound quality, full refund too if they stop working, only thing I've had happen to mine were one of the buds stops working. Pretty durable for the price, I've only broken 1 pair from skateboarding/biking. Also most stores will carry them for $15 instead of $25 like listed on the site.
Tried the generic ones I got with my Dell Streak and they worked....gotta find my Xperia S headphones to try.
I think you should try out the Sony LiveSound Hi-Fi Headset, it cost a little bit of money but it sounds awesome! Comes with an in-line mic with built-in remote.
I personally use the Sony MW600 Stereo Bluetooth Headset, no wires extending to your phone in your pocket. just a short earbud wire that wraps around your neck. you can also disconnect the supplied wire and use a 3mm wire to plug into a stereo or your car's aux so you're completely hands free and the sound comes out of car's speakers.
Both of these are available on the Sony mobile online store, probably sold cheaper on amazon.
so the ION does support earphone's with mic and you guys have all tried out the mic ? sry for this question, I got my phone from best buy and so it didn't come with the earphones. Instead I've been using my earphones from my X10 and with the ION using the new standard and with the quote from my first post I was thinking that the ION didn't support the mic in earphone combo
I used the HTC buds that come with some of there WP7 devices. Worked like a charm.

From what I read, the LiveSound headset doesn't fully work on the 2012 Xperia phones. There's another pair called Smart headset that are fully compatible with the ion. They're basically the same set other than that.
I just ordered the MW600 headset, the design reminded me alot of the old Sony MiniDisc Walkman remotes. Seems really slick.
I have the Smart wireless headset pro MW1. They work great and the audio quality is awesome for music and calls.
I just didn't want to buy a pair that the ion wouldn't support, but I'll have to look and see which to get. I wan't the skullcandy ink'd 2 pair but idk if they'll work. time for some more research

Cheaper Audio Dock Alternative

Hey everyone, I've been searching for a cheaper alternative to the expensive desktop dock samsung sells. It will mostly be used as a clean audio out for speakers and headphones, charging and sync would be a plus. Does anyone know of a good alternative out there? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
im no pro at this, but it seems like the best kinda thing is gonna have to use the 3 mm audio jack as a trick to do it.
as an example, if you ebay "Loud Stereo Dock Station Speaker for iPod iPhone 3G/4 4S MP3 Android Phone 3.5MM"
I have a digital AV Receiver with HDMI inputs and bought the HDMI dock from Samsung for less then 15€. The digital audio signal via HDMI can be used even without video output.

Yea that's basically what I'm looking for, a dock with 3.5mm audio out and has the ability to charge + sync would be nice. I actually found a cheap 10$ one on ebay and a 30$ one on amazon from samsung themselves which isn't too bad, both that claim to do just that, so we'll see. I would post links but the forum wont let me until l I have 10 posts. Apparently there's an app that will allow me to use the usb audio out function straight from the phone which would be awesome, then I can bring in a DAC and amp into the mix.

Yea I thought of that as well, and I may get one of those too to hook up to my hdtv but as for speakers and headphones the 3.5mm audio out would be key

Dock

Anyone know of any good charging/ speaker docks? I want to buy a portable speaker and I was thinking of the JBL Pulse. But I also wanted a home one where I can dock it and listen to music while it charges. Anyone know of any good android ones?

I've always used while charging. But I see a bunch of iPhone ones. It can't be that difficult to make one to support android could it? I really want a good android one.

I have look at a lot of dock for android but I went with Philips AS140/37 Fidelio Bluetooth Speaker with Micro-USB Dock. It sound great and the price has dropped do to lack of buyers. Have my Samsung Galaxy Player plunged in to the Dock and running off of Bluetooth and listen to music all night long. If you have a good electronic store near you , go and see what they have in stock and ask to listen to them all.
Stereo Bluetooth quality is probably the weakest point of this phone (unless the Bluetooth devices supports aptX). For portable, the JBL Charge is a favorite of mine; it's loud and has a big battery and includes a USB port to charge off of. Although you'll definitely get better sound using the auxiliary input than Bluetooth (again, because of our phone, not the speaker). It easily outclasses the Beats Pill and costs much less, too.
If you're home-use speaker is for the bedroom, the Charge would likely fill that role nicely, as well. If you're looking for something that will fill the living room, I'd recommend the Auvio HBT2000 (it's a radio shack brand). It's loud, clean, plenty of bass and can play via Bluetooth, Auxiliary cable and provides a USB port for charging. As it's quite powerful, it must be plugged into an AC outlet to operate. IMO, it's the most underpriced large Bluetooth speaker available.
