I hope this hasn't been answered before. I searched and couldn't find an answer but I like have a 4g toggle on my phone. I've been running calk 2.8.1 with minimal them or the 2.6.2 tsm parts rom. The basic rom has a 4G toggle in the pull down but once I add a theme I lose that option. I have wi fi, mobile data, bluetooth, sound and auto rotation as options and I can't find a way to change it. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks

The TSM parts mod doesn't have a 4G toggle in it because of the way lidroid wrote it originally. I didn't look but you may be able to find a toggle widget in the market.

Don't add the theme... Who ever did the theme must not have added that .. Stay stock or don't have 4g in your pull down bar ....look In calks thread there is probably something there but will probably have to read the whole thread

The TSM mod does away with the 4G toggle, but all you have to do is press and hold the mobile data and it will take you to the 4G settings.

Thank you very much!
Great mods Andy! I had a couple questions I was hoping you could answer! I saw that you created a mod for Virtuous where you inverted the menu and changed the lettering to white. Could you give me a quick tip on how to do this with this ROM? I was able to do it with my old Droid by changing what I seem to remember was the menuitem_background.xml file, however it seems that doesn't work with this ROM?? I think I was able to get the menu inverted, however I can't get the text to be white.
Also, I've tried a bunch of different things to get the Verizon Wireless carrier text off the pulldown, however no matter what I do I can't get it removed! Do you have any tips for getting this changed?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

That's a MOD that took me a very long time to figure out, That's not a quick how-to, but I will work on it for this ROM, also I'll take a look I think I know how to get rid of the Verizon txt, PM me for that.
Also you will find that pretty much everything is different from the droid (i think) because of sense.

Thanks! Does the pulldown also change the menu background, or just the pulldown background?
I tried changing the eri.xml file for both the T-CDMA 64 and 65 lines based on this thread (link), but neither of those worked. UGH!!

Hmmm...in the status_bar_expanded.xml there's a portion referencing the Carrier Label (android:id="@id/carrierLabel"), but I don't know where to change that text, or even if it's possible?
Battery mod would be awesome for those who arent comfortable with using the Kitchen.
Thanks for the mods. Very cool. Quick question do you recommend wiping cache and dalvik or just flashing over the Rom as is?

no, you aren't dumb at all.
It may very well be my file, it worked for me, but others have reported the same thing happening when I do that MOD. sorry.
Hello all! First off, I'm ashamed to say that the posting of my first thread here on the SE4G forums is a problem that may or may not be solved, but I need help with an issue I'm running into on multiple roms, and I couldn't find an answer anywhere here on the boards or on Google, so here goes:
Every time I flash a new theme, it ALWAYS breaks the quick panel settings (Or the status bar power menu if you will). Now when I say break, I don't mean it completely screws up, it still works, but I only want four icons on the quick panel: Wifi, Data, Sound, and Airplane Mode. I reboot, and try to reset the panel settings to see if the unwanted buttons will go away, but they stay there, even if I check EVERYTHING, it's the same 5 buttons, and not even the different sound/vibration options work. Like I said, quick panel settings work only if I'm on the stock version of the rom, but as soon as I flash a theme, ANY theme, it breaks. What gives?
The quick panel settings mod modifies SystemUI.apk. SystemUI dictates how the status bar and notification area should look and act. So when you flash a new theme, it overwrites said modifications rendering the quick panel settings application useless. The theme you choose to flash would have had to implement the quick panel settings mod to not break it. If you have a theme that you would like to use the quick panel settings with, you will need to ask the themer to add it, add it yourself, or flash a theme with the mod implemented. You could flash the quick panel mod again, but you would lose theming on the status bar and notifications area.
If you have a theme with the lock mod and not just the quick panel settings mod, try going into settings and searching through lockscreen parts. There will be plenty of options to mess around with. There is an option for the quick panel widget.
Hope that helps! It would suck if I wrote that out and it didn't.
P.S. Excellent paragraph. Proper grammar and spelling make me smile! It shouldn't, but this is the internet and people are stupid.
I'm not 100% sure what could b going on.. but does the theme u have include a lockmod??
Can u be more specific please.. what rom are you on now? And what theme do u flash?
If the theme u flashed has a lockmod then quick settings panel won't be any help to you
You have to go to settings>lockscreen settings and look for the settings for the widgets in the status bar section there u can check whatever u want and don't want and change order

Right now I'm on CleanGB. But no matter whether it be CleanGB, StarskyROM, MarcusantROM, etc., if it's based on the EI22 rom, it breaks. And I also flashed the ICS AOSPlock theme. I've tried a couple other themes are as well (Stock EI22 theme, the Sony theme, etc.) they break it too. Maybe it's an EI22 thing? Or maybe my phone just hates themes.
EDIT: I totally didn't see your post there, darkierawr lol. Thank you for the bit of info though! I recently seen that Gitusum has recently left us here at XDA, so maybe we won't get an update on his ICS theme. But again, thank you! I finally have an understanding of whats going on and can now begin looking for resolutions to this issue.
EDIT 2: ************* HUZZAH!! Got it working =D Gitusum has an addon called the scrolling status bar, so I flashed that, and then nothing. Then I went back to CWM, mounted /system, flashed the .zip again, and SUCCESS! Thank you guys once again for pointing me in the right direction. XDA coming through to help out the less experienced once again! Haha. Now all we need is a mod to lock this thread, or possibly leave it up just incase anybody else runs through the same issue, and not only with the ICS theme?
Is there a mod to edit the Notification display toggle widgets for Codename Android? Or is there a rom that allows it? I basicallly just want a data toggle switch as well. Cant believe its not included.

check development (gsm or cdma), there's a lot of custom roms there, just check OPs, all the features should be described there.

I've noticed on some custom ROMs that they are unable to include a 4G toggle, why is this? Is there a fix/patch to remedy this?

Yeah, I'm well aware of that but you have to stop what your doing and go to that screen in order to turn on 4G which is a heck of a lot more time and trouble then a drop down toggle that you can turn on/off almost anywhere.
Anyone know why this toggle is missing???
Maybe its not in JB ASOP so its not in any of the roms
I think I know why. I've noticed that ROMs that have extended toggles don't have 4G toggles. I think it's more related to the theme wanting to be compatible with more things.
Think about it. The theme is probably compatible with more than just this phone. So they would have to make individual themes for each phone. That probably seemed more hectic than necessary.
Kinda lyk why Google didn't include LTE. You would need a particular extended toggle bar for the E4GT and another one for another phone. Without the 4G toggle, the extended menu is compatible with lyk a wide variety.
This is my guess.
Flashlight Toggle +Plus
Based on ND2 v1.0 Posted HERE - Deodexed only
(PLEASE backup first! No Backsies here. )
Features:
- All available toggles enabled (Only in V2, see Changelog)
- NEW Flashlight Toggle.
- 1% Battery mod included with this.
Original thread is HERE.
- Custom transparent pulldown.
- Added flashable to remove Quickconnect and Sfinder from the dropdown.
Flash this AFTER the full mod.
Notes:
- All toggles are enabled in the quickpanel by default.
There isn't much I could do about that; the script enabler forces all toggles enabled by default. Take a couple of minutes and disable and re-arrange the toggles to your liking in the notification panel editor.
- Not all toggles may be working at this time.
Changelog:
V2.1
- Changed maximum toggles displayed to 15
- Added only WifiHotSpot, MobileData & Flashlight toggles to the default toggles
Credits: Cnexus and Goldie for the guides and scripts that helped to make this possible.
Does this remove the Sfinder and quick connect in the pulldown like the battery mod ?

I just added a separate flashable for that.
It needs to be flashed LAST.
Edit: Screenshot added with Quickconnect and Sfinder removed from dropdown.
Tried this and got systemui force closes. I probably did something wrong.

Hey man it'd be awesome if you gave the name of the toggles so we can edit em' with SQLite Editor for those of us that don't want ALL of em'. I personally hate having the quicksettings toggles be all cluttered and full of toggles I will never use!

You must have flashed the one from the 1% battery mod.
Make sure you're flashing the same exact one from the OP. The one that comes with the 1% battery mod (and that mod itself) will overwrite the flashlight toggle mod. That's why I included the 1% in this one.

That's all of them. I noticed at least one or two that don't display so they must not be features of this rom. For instance, I removed the Download Booster toggle because it did display but definitely didn't do anything.

Gotcha.
The guys really need to just post the vrtheme that JUST updates the battery icons and all the other stuff should have been stripped out. If you're not sure how to do it, ask in the thread for a stripped down version if you still want it.
That would be better in my opinion too. I'm going to try to do it myself. Thanks!
