Wireless video out: possible?

I wonder, is it possible to connect the Note to a TV set without NHL or other wired setups? Is there any kind of dongle one can connect to the TV to receive audio/video by Bluetooth or wifi?

U can, if the TV do have DLNA and just connect it wireless.

Do you want to stream content from the phone or see the phone screen on the TV?
DLNA would cover the 1st option - the built-in Allshare app turns the phone into a DLNA compliant server.
For the 2nd option, you could either use and MHL cable with a wireless HDMI setup or use something Android VNC Server from a PC attached to the TV.
I use imediashare from the market to stream to my apple tv2... works great. Works with an Xbox and lots of other things too.

Allshare works fine. I have connected my PC, LED and phone. Cool thing to show off as well.
Thanks, the latter.I might use one of my Nokia internet tablets to setup vnc and hook it to my TV. Won't be quick enough for gaming and streaming, though.
The wireless hdmi setup requires too many things attached to the Note to be comfortable.

The Allshare works great, running with a Samsung UNC55D8000. Images video crisp clear and very fast sync.
Is there any wireless Mirroring on the horizon?

Allshare works fine between TV and phone, but the PC client has difficulties with shared folders. It keeps delisting my media folders, and now even unable to add any folders at all.
Try Qloud Media Free in the market

Awesome! How cool is that? Am playing movies straight from my phone via the PS3 to the big screen with no cables. Magic.
Much appreciated. I shall now have to tour friends' houses to show off!
Plasma TV without DLNA
Hi guys,
I have a LG Plasma TV without DLNA but with USB ports and HDMI ports.
I know I can connect my Note with the MHL cable but would like to explore the wireless options.
1) If I try to plug a wifi usb stick to the Plasma TV, will it work ?
2) If not, what are the other available options ?
thanks

Unlikely, the USB port on your TV is likely only for connecting a USB memory stick or hard-drive to display photos and possibly videos. If your TV's firmware had support for a wireless USB dongle it would also likely be DLNA compliant.
Hi thanks. I have heard about HDMI (one side) to wireless (the other side) connection for example for HTC (HTC Media Link). Do we have similar things for Samsung Galaxy Note?

Well, there's the HTC Media Link for starters!
However, this only offers DLNA streaming, not full display mirroring.
The HTC Media Link HD does offer display mirroring, but only when partnered with an HTC One X or S.

Dave
OK,
So what are the available options for me (owner of the galaxy note and a HDTV without DLNA but with HDMI).
Is it only the MHL cable then ? Any other options to mirror or wirelessly stream ?
I saw an adapter for the Galaxy III which connects to the phone through wifi direct and to the TV set through hdmi cable. It's exactly what I wanted.
Hope out works for the Note, too, when it's available.

If your TV doesn't have dnla, Then get a dnla ready home theater / blue ray player
Those are your only two choices for wireless streaming from your Note to your TV. And it works really well.

Perfect Flash functionality in Dolphin browser

For us Galaxy NOte II users.
1. Here is an app that will automatically download and install the latest version of Flash for Android (works on Jellybean).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30646684&postcount=1
2. Then, using either ESFile or Root Explorer...do into the base of your phones file system and find the
data/data/mobi.geek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs
folder. Delete
installed_plug_pref.xml AND mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml
3. Now, when you go into Dolphin, it will be Flash enabled (always on)
Make sure that you go to the "more" menu in Dolphin and select user Agent "Desktop"
4. You can additionally (once you have configured your browser preferences) go into the properties of the "shared_prefs" folder and uncheck the write option, so that the settings can no be reverted.
Flash is the fastest I have ever seen on any cell phone...hands down.... easily. I guess it took a 1.6Ghz quad core for Flash to work perfectly on a phone.
I manually installed it and using it with Boat Browser. Works flawlessly. Now I got to get bluetooth/mouse for it to browse the web on my TV.

I just bought a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
Mouse-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003AVN6C0/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00
Keyboard-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HCO4GI/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
Love them both. Even the function keys on the keyboard work.
I have an Amazon prime account do I paid $30 flat for the both of them.
Now I am on a hunt for an MHL adapter for HDMI out AND to get some programmable NFC tags for use in the car or when I get in the house.
I was thinking about this one since it has the touch pad built in. I sign up for Amazon Prime also but will probably cancel before the promo expires.

I bought the universal MHL to HDTV from Samsung which comes with an adapter. But the adapter is quite fat and you will need to remove most case in order to use it. My case is a pain in the rear end to remove.

That is a teeny tiny one! Unless you want that on purpose.
You could try this one with a slide out mouse pad:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Wire...TF8&colid=16ZLZHWF45LWG&coliid=I3TJD58PL29F6U
I just saw the picture next to the phone, it is tiny. That Motorola one looks good but it doesn't come with a bluetooth dongle. I can use it with my phone but not my laptop and I am not sure what bluetooth HID is and if they sell separate adapter.

So, the point here is that you DONT want any product with a bluetooth dongle. If you don't have bluetooth on your laptop and you want the keyboard to work on your laptop then you have to buy a bluetooth adapter.
I think that you may want to look into this as well. you can control your phone from your PC keyboard and mouse with it.

But, in any case...you want to avoid having a dongle bluetooth receiver for your phone because it will occupy the microusb port and then you can't charge or your HDMI out while using your keyboard or mouse.
Am I making sense here?
Here is an adapter for your PC to have bluetooth:
http://www.amazon.com/Aitek-Bluetoo...sr=1-11&keywords=targus+bluetooth+4.0+adapter
Get a Bluetooth 4.0 with LE (Low energy technology). they are like 10 bucks.
Wish there was something for Chrome to be flash enabled

No I want the option of connecting to my laptop as well so if it comes with a dongle then it is great. I understand I do not need a dongle since my phone already has bluetooth and with the dongle, I won't be able to output to TV since I need that port for the MHL adapter.
So yes, buy that Motorola, and a separate receiver so I can use it with my laptop also. Thanks for all the links you posted so far.:good:

Support | Watch movies from tablet on TV

Hello frineds,
First of all, please forgive me for my imperfect English (It's not my mother-tongue).
I was looking for information on the web, but have not received answers to some questions and I would like to get some of your help, please:
I have a Samsung Tab 3 10.1" (model 5210) tablet and a Sharp TV (not a smartTV) with USB and HDMI inputs.
I would like to watch movies I downloaded to my tablet - on the TV screen and looking for a good way to do it (preferably wireless). I need a way to mirror my tablet on TV, to be specific.
1. Is there any possibility at all? If so:
2. Does ChromeCast doing the work? (Again, we're discussing about downloaded video files from the web, not watching YouTube and similar)
3. If ChromeCast can't do it, is there a wireless device that does this? I heard about "EZcast", what do you think about it? I'd be happy to have your recommendation.
4. If there's no wireless option -what kind of cable will I have to connect the the TV?
5. Other things that I should know? (Video-Audio sync... etc)
Thanks in advance,
PT
I know the Tab 3 8.0" has a screen mirroring function included, but perhaps the P5210 does not.
What version of Android are you running? Is it the stock 4.2 Jelly Bean? I've read that Mircast needs 4.4 and up, and Chromecast needs 4.4.2 and up. Also, I'm unsure if AllShare Cast/Samsung Link is an option for you...
Have you tried the Galaxy HDMI adapter from Samsung's website? Item ET-H10FAUWEGUJ
I have a chromecast and use an app called localcast to play my downloaded videos to my tv. Works really good, pause, play and volume control from device. Though it is not true screen mirroring as the video does not play simultaneously on tablet and tv, it just sends the video to the tv. Hope this helps.

T-Mobile G Pad X 8.0..Screen Mirror Options?

Hi all,
What is the most reliable way to mirror apps such as Hulu to my non-smart TV? Any specific dongle that is good or should I just get a Chromecast? I'd like to hook it up via a wired method but it does not appear possible unless the USB port supports any sort of video output?
Thanks,
Rob
I suggest posting questions in the main thread in order for them to be answered - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/help/t-mobile-lg-g-pad-x-8-0-v521wg-info-t3400620/
I have a Chromecast and that is definitely reliable as long as your Wi-Fi is. I'm not sure if you can mirror using microUSB/full USB

Dex Mode

Hi guys, I've had a look through the threads but can't find any on asking the same question.
Is it possible to use mode with no Dock etc, I just want to use a mouse that I connect through the charge port, Im able to use the mouse, I want to use it in Dex mode.
I have the galaxy s9 SM-G960F, stock on latest UK os.
My Tab s4 has a toggle to switch to Dex, annoying that this doesn't.
You can with a dex station or dex pad. Or a usb-c to hdmi cable. However if you use the usb-c to hdmi cable u will have to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
Thanks for the reply but I knew all that, my question was can I just turn Dex mode on and use it on my phone, on the phones screen with no accessories. Like you can on the tab s4? I don't see why we can't :/
No mate, no option to do that. Not what i know of anyway
