I'm currently porting a GSM Desire ROM to a CDMA device (Supersonic). Are there any changes made to a ROM framework to make it compatible between the Bravo and BravoC?

Main bit should be build.prop and a compatible kernel. The rest might work without changes.

It's much easier to work on a cdma ruu. Refer dsixda ROM kitchen. Nobody Ports roms when ruu s are available.

Have you actually gotten this to work? Are you using the one with the green wifi looking icon? I have gotten my laptop to connect, but not actually share the internet.
Ya i can connect but the internet is not working that's my problem also.

I read something, somewhere, that we may need to update or add a kernel. I'm not sure though.
I have had the same problem, all I done was download a different version of wifi tether, been working great

Thank you...not to be a pain, but once I download it to my computer, what do I do? I think it has something to do with pushing...but I am awful with loading things onto my phone.
If you Google wireless tether for Android from your phones browser, then click the downloads link for the project hosting on Google code, you can download straight to your phone. There are a bunch of different versions and not all will work with all kernels. After downloading, your phone will ask if you want to install.I'm using the pre8 version with netarchy's 4.1.8 kernel on fresh 3.1.0.1 and it works fine.

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know where I can find a working link to the stock, post-OTA kernel for T-Mobile US G2's? The link here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836042) no longer works.
I'm running the stock rom with root, s-off, pershoot's kernel, but pershoot's kernel no longer supports froyo - and his past froyo kernels break my wifi tethering and sometimes my wifi altogether. Sad, but essentially my rooting process seems to have been in vain - I'm not really happy with any of the developed roms, because none of them seem to ever be working perfectly (gps not working, wifi broken, gapps impossible to install, netflix works - sometimes!, etc.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Link works fine for me on phone and computer...
Try the untouched gingerbread releases..

Link for the kernel or the link to the thread?
UPDATE:
Turns out Firefox was being weird and not displaying the page properly. I got it now, and I am running the stock kernel. It sucks that developers are only developing kernels for undeveloped platforms! Beauty and curse of this awesome site, I suppose. Thanks for your quick response.

I am running the stable version of cyanogenmod 7.1 and I've flashed earlier versions before, but for some reason none of them have ever allowed me to continue using my picture messaging. Another bit of info, I have the HTC inspire 4G and all other roms for the desire HD run fine when I flashed them.
Is this a problem with the rom or could it be because of the differences in phones?

doubt it has anything to do with the phone try with another cm7 rom
OK, found out that with my mobile data disabled it won't work. Now that I know of a way to make it work, I have another question. Other roms allowed me to disable mobile data and it would just use it automatically when I sent pictures, any clues as to why cm7 won't work the same way?

Its the way cm shuts the data off. Most sense bases roms are set to only **** off the internet part of the apn while cm based roms diablebit all together. I mentioned it and it was stated that it was supposed to work like this.
OK, gotcha. I appreciate the info.

Has anyone been able to get the wireless tether for root users app to work with aosp? The stock tethering *works,* but has very limited functionality. I emailed the dev and he told me to try the latest version, available here. http://tinyurl.com/bj9lyv
This has a lot of new features including a profile for our device, but it still doesn't work for me.
Has anyone had any luck with this?

works for me everytime
Ah sweet I'll try that out, is supersonic nightly a sense rom? Or was he just sharing which aosp flavor he uses?

what aosp are u using, i have all of them in the link in my sig and all the kernels. if you dl a wireless tether app on an aosp with built in free wifi tether then you will mess up the built in wifi tether and the app will not work or the built in will slow down. you would have to wipe everything and reflash it again. then try the built in wifi tether and it should work perfect. if you have any questions feel free to ask them in the link in my sig
The built in works, it just doesn't have the functionality of the wireless tether app. I really would like to have it working .. I haven't tried the above method actually, sorry haven't had time

Can cyanogen be ran on a epic 4g flashed to cricket? If so how can I get my data and mms working on it?

Pretty sure there was a epic 4g cricket forum in general, wouldn't hurt to post this question in there as well

Tried that method. But cant access the ##8778# menu on cyanogen
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
From what I've been able to find that is specific to the samsung dialer, an is removed from cyanogen because it uses a different dialer. I just did a nandroid backup, odined back to ec05 using the instructions in the sticky, did what I wanted, and restored.
Kinda sucks but otherwise cm7 is awesome
you should only have to ##8778# if you need to program using qpst. If that's the case flash a different rom, program with qpst, then flash cyanogen. Your qpst setting dont change after flashing new roms. as far as the mms.apk files i created i believe they would work with cyanogenmod but i cant say for sure. just message me once you get your phone programmed and i will make a cyanogenmod mms.apk for you.
