The Google apps are all optional and independent, so yes as long as you keep your google login.

Hi,
any way to start the TV Launcher of Xperia S w/o beeing connected to HDMI, for example in Live Dock?
--- EDIT ---
I will now take a look myself
well an idea I think will work is download launcherPro and place an activity on the homescreen. The activity would point toward the launcher. Try it
Sorry, doesn't work.
I think we need to mofify the startup first in manifest and than manipulate the smali code for startup...
Hi !
Actually, I did manage to activate the TvLauncher on Android's Home,
but the application itself doesn't work without HDMI, they probably
made it HDMI dependend in the code and the amount of code
is too long and cut for me to search for a way to fix that..
I did edit the manifest to make the application launchable,
and added some infos to have the icon showing.
The application is signed in order to be installed correctly.
(Without it, nothing will show. Done with my AndroidAppsEditor.)
The application starts, forces the screen to landscape (set in the manifest),
then black screen and closes itself directly..

Who has the xperia S ics new tv launcher?

You've got to be kidding me..
Orders?
Remember this is done on free time, for free, and everyone doesn't have free time all the time, there are more important things then spend hours on that application for the moment...

this is not a military base, so if Adrian fix it you can use it without credits?
i dont think so then i report it
Thanks for all your efforts. I was able to make an launchable apk and as Adrian said, its forces landscape, than blackscreens and closes itselfs... Will try to fix when i have some time..
Hi this is my 1st thread,
as every body know xperia ICS is having a slow dial pad.(it take more thatn 4 seconds to load with recent contacts)
But there are few 3rd part Dialers like exDialer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.modoohut.dialer&feature=search_result. this application work fine with any amount of recent contacts,It loads within 1,2 seconds
SO is there any way to permanently uninstall /disable default xperia pro Dialer and make the dial pad loading time increase
Root your phone. Btw, you're in a wrong section..

When I surf through the apps and themes section i always bump into the expression "small apps".
What are those small apps and what do they do ?
What I understand till now that it's a feature ported from Xperia T ..
Can someone explain what are those small apps ?

When most apps in Android work on full screen, then Small Apps is a feature, that allows many apps to work in small windows, like on all Windows versions. You can have many apps open on one screen, instead of one full screen app.

Well, actually just 2 apps, because you can't have more than 1 small app open at once

So I can open ANY 2 apps ?
For example, tapatalk and opera mobile ?

Nope, there are only some apps you can open, such as a calculator or a currency converter. There are third party apps you can download from the play store such as a web browser or a camera. Just search "small apps" in the store.
