Hello, is there a way an app to write data on Windows based computer via USB? In other words, the Desire to use the computer's HDD as external memory?
You would need a kernel that supports USB host mode. There is one in the "Everythign desire is here" thread in dev

This is kind of a proof of concept question. I am planning on installing Ubuntu and dualbooting my computer. I was wondering if it was possible to use the Epic as a USB thumb drive for installation? I know its possible with regular usb drives, but i have none. Thanks for any help

I thought the GS3 already supports otg without needing root. Are you hooking up to a portable harddrive or a usb flash drive (aka jump drive)? Also be sure the usb storage is mounted in Settings > Storage.

Hi folks,
one question: is it, with the new software update, possible to install an app (for example kodi) via an usb drive. I tried to put kodi on the usb drive (formatted in fat32) and the fire tv detected the usb drive, but no app was shown.
Is there a possibility for this?
Thank you guys in advance

Hello,
I have been able to successfully connect an external flash drive to my Nexus5x, using an USB-C OTG cable.
I was wondering if there exists any sort of Y-cable I could use to connect BOTH an external memory AND my pc (to use ADB) at the same time.
In particular I would need this to work in the TWRP recovery.
Any idea/suggestion?
Thank you.
