I'm considering picking up one but not sure if it's worth it
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
I don't have the link off hand, but there's a thread in the accessories section that discuses this. IIRC, there isn't any confirmed way to use tv-out yet.

HTC apparently said our phones support mhl so its definitely worth a shot, I'm looking forward to your feedback

We have been trying to figure tv out for a month in the tv out thread. Let us know if it works. I wrote to HTC and they told me that the phone has mhl but they don't make the proper cable yet. I guess micro usb hdmi is worth a shot, let us know if it works.

I emailed these people last week as they were showing in stock but they replied and said it was an error and changed the website. I posted about it in the other dock thread further down.
I'll email them again and see what the crack is.
Will you take some pictures and do a mini review when you get it as you might be the first person to have on?
Si
I think the people in the reverse engineering thread may want you too!

Yer it turns out the twats didn't really have it in stock. What a bunch of incompetent morons. Will write when it arrives, now going to be after the 31st

ive also been waiting for the dock to arrive from amazon - mines been on order for over 6 weeks now and was originally shown as instock, its rather annoying that htc always wait forever and a day to release accessories when they release new phones. Htc must loss a small fortune because of this, i gave up with an official case and went elsewhere - i wonder how many other people do the same.
Not being funny but what does this bar hold the device and pass through the USB?
For 50 quid I hope I'm missing something

Hey everyone, I just got this idea, and I looked around couldnt find any mentions of it.
I was wondering if it would be possible to use my NFC enabled phone, currently a Galaxy S4, as a USB NFC Reader, Or if need be I could probably get my hands on an S3 for short periods of time.
Just looking for ways I can save $50 buying one xD
plus it would be convenient...
Anyway has anyone else thought of this or am i alone here ?

I had asked the exact same thing. it would be great to have this. But I can't find it anywhere. Does somebody know where to find it? Otherwise we'll have to write it ourselves
Ahaha, me. Code. Program that works. ;_;
I'm not so great at that stuff.
I'm happy to try though, if I had any idea how or where to start

I'm also interested in building something using this idea. How much have you looked into pushing it over USB? If you're not opposed to it, setting up a github for progress would be much appreciated if you have something brewing already.

I can't give you link because I'm a new user here, but search the play store for "NFC Relay"
It creates a server on your phone - connect to that server from your PC and you will have a console interface where you can send and receive commands.
Is there something now?
I want to control my phone nfc and control it on kali linux pc. How can i do thad ?
Hey guys.
Recently my beloved nexus' radios decided to quit working. I've tried everything to get them back but the harsh reality is that they just don't work anymore. I made a thread in the Q&A section to no avail.
Decided to go with the GS4 so I have an unused somewhat defective, and clearly used phone that is just sitting on my desk. When I went from my incredible to the gnex, I gave my incredible to one of the awesome devs that made that phone so much better. I'm thinking of doing it again because you guys are so great.
So if you are a dev, contact me and I'll so my best to give it to someone who can truly use it. Whether it be for parts or as a test flashing device, etc.
I can ship the phone free of charge through amazon since I work there so there really is no hassle involved.
Just to be clear, the radios (as far as I can tell) don't work, the charging port is a bit loose and sometimes hard to charge, and there are a few scratches on the screen and around the bezel. Other than that everything works. So perfect for a test device for your future roms.
I really want someone to USE the device and not just turn around and sell it, although I would be none the wiser. So let me know if you NEED it.
Thank you to this community (most of you ) and to all the hard working developers that got me thru the last few years. It's been fun.

I also have an extended battery that I can give to someone as well.
And this is a Verizon model, if that matters.

Well I have one already.
Although, it's the sprint variant.
You see, I don't make that much money, and I got this for christmas, sure it's great, but since it's limited to CDMA, I cannot be flexible with it at all.
It really does suck, I've been wanting to sell it and replace it with a GSM Galaxy Nexus, but no one will buy it, everyone already moved on to wanting the galaxy S4 or something similar.
So I definitely don't NEED it, but it would save me some money with me being able to change to Straight talk.
About the broken radios, I can try and repair it, buy a new charging port, buy a new antenna, etc etc, it'd be a fun project. I've already started some development for myself for the toroplus, and the GSM Galaxy nexus would allow me to fully mess with a semi working Ubuntu Touch OS.
And, if it wasn't given to me, which it probably won't, I actually have a cheap 12 dollar otterbox like case for the GSM Galaxy Nexus, I messed up on the order and got that instead of one for my model.

One like this, that I can ship out to whoever you wants it the most.

Friend of mine really wants to start developing for phones. And I told him a nexus phone would be the best. But he doesn't really have the money to buy one and neither do I. So he could really use it and he did some development for his old tablet and as far as I can see he's quite good at it. So I think he would be a real good person to have here on the forums.

I guess I should of been more specific on who I want to give the phone too.
It would help if you already had a thread in the developers section.
Like I said, I don't want to give this to someone just to have them sell it so the only insurance I have is making sure you are already a developer of some sort.

What is that? I'm not trying to give it away to just anybody. I'd like to help a developer out by giving it to him. Otherwise I'd rather just keep it or sell it.
