Ever since yesterday my notification light has opposite behavior. It stays on and red when no notifications, but when I get a text it will turn off. I hadn't done any changes and did a factory reset and reflashed a rom (calk 1.8.1) but still does that. Used led control lite from market and that fixes it but, I don't want to have to use that app to get normal behavior.
Anyone have any ideas or experienced anything similar?

I'm just wondering if notification lights are supposed to turn off after I wake up my phone. I'm currently using Cyanogenmod 10 Nov 4th build.
For example, when I get a text message, my notification light turns on and starts blinking purple (that's my setting I put)
When I turn on my phone, the light disappears. But if don't check my notification and lock my phone again, the notification light doesn't appear.
I was just wondering if this is supposed to happen as if I remember correctly from the stock Samsung Touchwiz ROM, the notification light would stay on until I check the notification and clear it from the tray.
If it's supposed to be like that, is there a way to change it so be more like Samsung's way of dealing with notifications.
Thank you so much in advance!
Hello,
I noticed that my notification LED light would sometimes stop working. It doesn't light up for any kind of notifications, and a device reboot seems to fix that... temporarily. This has happened to me twice so far, since I got the phone two weeks ago.
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing that problem, or if anyone knows a permanent fix.
I'm using the stock rom, haven't touched any LED settings so they should all be on default values.
After disabling notifications for light flow, the status bar icon is gone, but the LED doesnt work normally now. Normally i set to LED shinning colour when plugged in but now after i disabled the notification, the LED doesnt light up anymore. Anybody else having similar problems?
Im guessing its due to the app not being updated for 4.3 yet.
App runs just fine here.

Make sure Accessibility is on in setting. I missed that myself.
That seemed to fix it.

Anybody else seeing this issue?
Noticed it mostly with whatsapp, after receiving a message and opening the app to automatically clear the notification status, the Notification LED would still blink when screen is off.
I think I have to open the notification drop down (even though it's empty) to clear the LED flashing.
Try Light Flow. Been using it without any issues for a while now.
Is there another way of fixing the notification LED except of installing the Light Flow app? I dislike the thought auf having to install additional software for such a very basic task.
I had a huge thread on it. There are ways to clear it. Easiest is turn off the screen by double tapping the status bar. It also eventually goes away.
Hello,
1/ The blue notification light is not working on my S9, red is working when charging, green is also working when the charge is full but the blue light is only working when i reboot not on notifications, I have of course all notifications enabled.
2/ i always have to type several times (2 to 4 times) on the configuration icon to gain access to the configuration menu.
Does anyone has the same issues?
Yes my new S9 notification light never flashes when there has been a message notification.
The LED indicator in display settings is turned ON.
Is there another setting to adjust or is it a software bug?

Yes, it's probably a software bug, as i tried everything i read over the web and nobody seems to have the solution to solve that problem.
Yesterday i thought it would be fine because i received a software update from Samsung but it's even worse because it take now from 1 to +4 hours for my emails to reach my phone (gmail) and still no led indicator.
I hope the next upgrade will take care of this sutiation.
are either of you having network issues 4-5 a day i have to restart my phone to connect to the network.
