Hi,
Does anyone know any sense 2.6.35 kernel with usb host mode working?
As far as I know these modules also need to be in the system to be able to get it working properly:
usbcore.ko
ehci-hcd.ko
scsi_wait_scan.ko
scsi_mod.ko
sd_mod.ko
usb-storage.ko
Can anyone point me to a sense 2.6.35 kernel and suitable modules?
Been searching for quite a while now....
Thanks in advance!
also looking for sense kernel with usb host, but no luck yet, ive tried usb host mod on cm 7.1.0 with cm 2.6.37 kernel and it was working, but want to have it working on sense roms also...
You can use Droidzone's kernels. You need to register in his site to download.

As I am a new member, can't post the link, just look in the rom

Hi all,
I want a really stable and responsive Sense 2.1 ROM (cm7r2 preferred but anything will do).
I thought SBGB would come close but its had a few unexplained crashes, and I don't really want any sort of customisation (overclocking, custom kernel, busybox, scripts, etc..). I just want as close to stock as possible...
any ideas?
People reported that this ROM is very stable and it is 2.1 only, no 3.0+ stuff:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200517
Used Insertcoin for quite a while no issues with it good everyday rom.
LeeDroid HD Port Data++ v5, golden.

A like the lastest Coolexe's Cool SagaS ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018843
It is very fast and stable.
The latest version is available on cooldevs web site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18106747&postcount=1311
I know there are very few inc2s out there who couldn't unlock the phone with only ICS rom.
Just incase you guys stopped trying to get ics work on your inc2...
I think the problem was solved with new kernel from aeroevan.
Thanks for the lead! I'll give it a shot. Is it his v9 kernel, and on what rom/what installation procedures? What were you running before you flashed, which recovery and how did you wipe? Sorry to bombard you with questions, just trying to minimize variables.
Also, could anyone explain how to merge a kernel into whatever rom I'm about to flash so it's included from the get-go?

Yeah, it was v9 kernel.
I'm not sure which rom i was running... I was trying so many roms.. i kinda lost track.. it was one of sense 3.5 roms tho. I am using 5.0.2.0 recovery and I did full wipe.
Let me know if it solved problem for your device as well
I just tried and it still doesn't work for me. Steps I took. (hopefully I did something wrong)
Used 4EXT
factory reset
format all partitions (except sdcard)
install aero 4-7 rom
install v9 kernal
rebooted
I use MikRunny v1.01 as my daily.
Same. I tried the latest of both l AOKP and CM9 to no avail. It's alright though, I imagine a leak is close... I can feel it.
Damn.. i guess i got lucky with this one...
hopefully, the problem gets solved for all of us (
I just tried [ROM][21 Apr]SenseMOD FlashONE v1.1 [AROMA][Primadonna Kernel]
and it worked. So I don't know what is different under the hood from the Aero builts but maybe this is a start to figuring out what is going on.

So follow up to my last post. I decided to try aero's built. I did a factory reset and then flashed aero's 4-7 build (didn't have the 4-20 built on the sd card and usb wasn't working with the other rom. I then flashed the gapps 3-17 and this time it worked. Going to flash the 4-20 build over top right now and see.
I have a htc desire and looking for a rom that works 100%, but I find no running, no interest to me is whether recent or old, all I want is to work without giving errors.
I've tried more than 10 and no work.
Someone tells me one to work 100%?
Thank you!
Most gingerbread roms have pretty much everything working. This is my preference for the most stable, fast, working ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031467

Plenty of ROMs work, otherwise development wouldn't even be active for such an old device
Also a lot of ROMs require an sdcard partition, read the first post. make sure you partition it using 4ext recovery or gparted, look for guide in general section.
To maximise space some ROMs also work better on smaller hboots, again check each ROM thread
VJ roms work well
though htc desire had limited gingerbread release officially. many roms here work well. i personally use vijendrahs's CM10.1.
a2sd support goes a long way.

slim rom is also pretty good. hope the CM10.1.2 gets a stable release
Hey Everyone! please tell me which is the most stable sense and non sense rom??? Which rom and kernel combination is the best?? I have already checked out the similar threads but most of them are outdated so please help me out thanks
I can't speak for Sense ROMs but I've been running Chillybean's CM10 ROMs for the past few months -- only a few bugs with sound and reboots up until the most recent 20130929 build (CM10.2 / JB 4.3).

All of chillybeans's 4.3 roms that is cm10.2 beanstalk 4.3 don't have working gsm if you want gsm I would recommend Leoposas's Zoe Rom its cm10.1 and runs really great
I saw this thread on how to enable gsm on Verizon mobiles running up to 4.4 but I tired to use it on chillys PacRom 4.3....
I wonder if am doing it all right or does the rom have no gsm support at all
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394689
well it really all depends if you like sense or if you like aosp or aokp. if you just want a good rom for daily basis id suggest a sense rom. if you're into customization then more than likely you're gonna want to go with aosp or aokp. but with you using gsm those roms are kinda iffy seeing as a lot of them for gsm use are still in the works. if you do want an aosp rom tho id suggest cm7 i do believe for most builds they do have gsm working or you can try the global roms made for gsm or that Zoe rom if you're wanting to be on jellybean. ive got cdma so my options arent as limited. hope this helps in some way.
You should all try Chillybean's fly-CM10.2 its really fast and smooth and has working gsm its 4.3
Yeah its a pretty cool rom. Still having a bit of problems in the cm source tho like with screenshots and torch but its definitely worth check out.
---------- Post added at 11:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 PM ----------
And the thing with the gsm patch even tho it says it will enable gsm on verizon cdma phones doesnt mean it will work on all devices and patches dont always fix the problem if its deeper upstream related. Hope this helps.
Downloaded and flashed chillys cm10.2 minus the screenshot problem, absence of nav bar, buggy status bar when using xposed tinted status bar....its an awesome smooth ROM, a nic bream from the constant reboots of the 4.2 ROMs.
Thanks for the info
I've tried all of Chilly's ROMs, and the most stable for me is 10.2 (4.2.2) Slim Bean. All of the others eventually slow down and require frequent reboots. At this point, I don't know if it's something in the rom, or the B-Team kernel, but I think I've settled into SlimBean with the "stock" Chilly-evervolv kernel. It's the fastest/snappiest, and hopefully stays that way.
The only thing I'm missing is the CM Voice+ app.
I'm not sure which post I found it in, but this stock rom minus most Verizon crud is called
6.01.605.05_VZW__OTA-stripped-odex.zip
It's stabled but not "new".

I might have to give that a shot, what's the difference between "fly" and his other CM10.2 ROM?

The fly one is modded fly is the name of the mod whereas the other is pure stock. Look up fly mod in the Android development section for details of the mod

What do you mean by the "stock" chilly-evervolv kernel? I've been searching for a bit and can't find it. I've had the same issue with the slowdowns and I'd like to give this one more shot before reverting back to the sense roms.

"Stock" in this case means the kernel that comes with Chilly's 10.2 slim bean, as opposed to a kernel like B-team that you have to download and flash separately.
I own a TF300TG and have been able to run 4.2 based custom ROMs (such as Rootbox) with working wifi.
However, ever since 4.3 / CM 10.2 based ROMs have started appearing, I can no longer turn on wifi on my TF300TG.
Since wifi has always worked on 4.2 based ROMs, I am wondering what the difference is.
With this thread I hope some kind developer will look into this issue.
I know most developers do not own a TF300TG, but I would be happy to provide logs and run tests if required.
Thanks!

All CM 10 / AKOP roms are without
tf300tg kernels, that's why wifi and 3g are not working.

This was not my point. As I said on a ROM such as Rootbox (4.2 based) wifi works fine on the TF300TG without the need for a special kernel.
I am not asking for 3G capabilities, just working wifi.

I know Asus based ROMs such as CROMi-X work on the TF300TG, but that's beside the point of this thread.
On CM / AKOP roms you cannot access even WIFI on Asus TF300TG because of Kernel difference. Until now i have seen any CM 10 / AKOP Rom specially customized for Asus TF300TG.

It will be due to the kernel as said - they won't support your device and they won't have any compiled modules for them. Unless someone develops a CM branch for 4.3 for the TF300TG your only choice will be stock based roms.
