Changing the lock screen only - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Wondering if there is a way to change off of the Samsung lockscreen into something else, either the default Android lock screen or maybe even the HTC lockscreen.
Can this be done without putting a custom rom on?

Droid lock screen for htc evo

Does anyone know how I can change the evo lock screen to the android lock screen like on the droid. It just looks so much better. That would be cool
Wrong forum.
Check under "Themes and Apps" for stuff like that.

No problem. - The original Sprint boot animation is so ugly I just can't believe they'd hire someone to make that stuff happen at Sprint.
Here's another link on how to apply a boot animation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697527
I think he was asking about the lock screen, not boot animations...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt the droid use the stock lock screen? If so, this is a theme in damagecontrol
I juss don't like the stock lock screen for the evo.i like the android lock screen better
Is there a way where I can still change my htc sense lockscreen to the droid lockscreen without rooting?
It was late last night. He DID ask about the lock screen.
My whoops!
Well at least be know how to add custom boot now.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I would like this as well.

doubtful, you need to be able to remove the htc lock screen apk i believe.
Well do I have to root my phone in order to run the boot animation?
I don't want to root my phone yet that's why, but maybe if I just do what you said
I think so, because to modify the boot animation files you have to have access to rw system
there is an app in the market to change your lock screen.i think is lockbot or something like that.

{does anyone know how I can change the evo lock screen to the android lock screen like on the droid}
LOCKBOT IS AN APP TO CHANGE YOUR LOCK SCREEN, you can change it to look like the one on the droid, you can chage it so it looks like the , iPHONE,ECLAIR,Froyo,x10, and galaxy, i think this would do what you want!!
ps. to the one that posted above me, are you forealz, do you even know what lockbot is???
Ok cool, then I guess I'll lockbot thanx guys

Lockscreen Widgets?

Is there any way to get widgets on my lockscreen? I played around briefly with FlySreen but I didn't care for it since it was basically an app that ran 24/7 and let you disable the lockscreen to it would "replace it".
Are there any actual custom lockscreens out there? I mean, HTC made their own, there has to be a way to build one right?

Yea, no indication of being able to place widgets on the lockscreen.

I saw that one. Are you using it? It pretty much looks like what I want but I don't know if it works like FlyScreen or what. I really didn't like the feel of FS. That status icon the whole time was really annoying.

vanilla lockscreen???

When you unlock and swipe from left to right a light coloured bar comes out saying unlock on it, where is this bar? I thought it may be in framework-res but I couldn't see it. Anyone know where it is? Also same question for the vanilla call answer screen?
anyone have any idea?

Not sure about the call screen, but I can help you with the lockscreen. Get widget locker from the Market, it costs $2. Using this, you can get the default vanilla lockscreen, even one like the iPhone if you want. It also lets you place widgets on the lockscreen.

No you really can't help haha... You're way off dude.
He's obviously asking for theme'ing purposes.
Unfortunately I don't know where it's located either. I'd suggest downloading and extracting a ROM that has the Vanilla lockscreen and wading through all that.
EDIT: Or just download the update.zip from the Desire Themes & Apps section that has the Vanilla lockscreen only. And find it within there. I'll be home from work soonish so I'll download and check it out myself when I get there.

jog_tab_bar_left_end_normal.9.png
jog_tab_bar_right_end_normal.9.png
jog_tab_bar_right_end_pressed.9.png

Is it possible that the text itself is not an image but rather text that has been coded to pop up over the bar image?
That would explain why you cannot find an image for it.

Lockscreen Clock hide/remove? (CM10)

is there a way to remove the Clock from the lockscreen? on Jelly bean (CM10)?
I found a few old thread about it, but nothing seen to work. WidgetLocker crash a lot and i couldn't find the way to actually hide the clock.
I installed Wp clock 2, and I love it, but the stock clock is on the way on the lockscreen.
Thanks
Nope, I don't believe so. Maybe suggest they include it in future builds?

S3? Which ROM?
Any AOSP 4.2.2 that has lock screen widgets enabled (CM10.1 does in fact meet this criteria) has the ability to remove the clock from the lock screen. You simply lock the phone, get to the lock screen and press and hold on the clock until you can move the screen around. Move it to the top of the screen to destroy it. You should now have a blank lock screen page with no widgets (in this case your clock).

Tried. What happened was that my phone rebooted and the stock clock was back. Every time.

Lock Screen Defaults

Does anyone know of any way to either change the default lock screen clock / weather items? Or remove it completely?
I tried Holo Locker but it does not seem to work.
I don't want to disable my lock screen completely, just have it as close to the stock Google as possible. I hate the Sense weather that comes with the One. I understand I can add something like DashClock but I am not able to set it as the default lock screen.
Any help is appreciated.
No possible to put any other lockscreen on than the ****ty default one. You can of course add the lockscreens you actually do want to the "right" of the default one but this is incredibly dumb to force us on their ****ty lock screen.
I want dashclock and can't get it to be the default.
I agree. Well, thanks for the response. I wish we could change it.

You just have to wait for a modified kernel to do this.

Sad that they restrict the basic functionality that almost any phone on the market right now can do just to force this on us. What a shame.
Does widget locker not work? It worked fine on my M7
