I want to remove the splash screen also, but without complete registry/file browsers its hard to find anything
You Are Right. We Need To W8t...
BTW Check PM M8T...
If you have omnia 7 then you could flash the newest firmware und it'll become unbranded. I did the same a week ago and now my omnia is t-mobile crap free
Is there any firmware for Samsung Focus?
now instead of just figuring out how to get rid of the splash screen i'm looking forward to seeing it being changeable.. custom splash screen like WM
Yeah. A custom splash screen would be cool

But exactly as the sir before me said, THIS topic is all about wp7.
You cant get rid of the boot logo as of yet (i have the HD7, so its HTC logo)..
but, you can change the carrier logo..
using the touchxplorer app, i was able to find the image... in my case it is called 'mologo.bmp'.
i replaced that with one of my choosing, and now i see it when i start my phone.

I didnt do anything reg related for mine. i just searched all .png .jpg and .bmp in the windows folder to find the logo... once that was done, i just overwrote the file with my own.

Where did you find this file.../windows? Might help others find their operater/carrier logo a bit quicker.
OK all, mologo.bmp is in the windows folder, thanks for the find Joe...respects.
However replaced mine and i don't get anything, no Orange logo or the one i replaced it with....now goes from the HTC screen to windows phone screen, But at least the bloody Orange junk has gone!!!!!
trying to delete and got message:
"Unable to delete file {0}." in TouchXplorer
this might help, follow this thread

I will be gratefull for instructions how to make it that to change/rename/replace/delete the locked data in Windows directory...
I was trying to do something with this, but it doesn't work for me :/
Earlier I downgraded my Telus Desire HD from software 3.xx to 1.xx successfully. I know that because I did not have sense 3.0 anymore. I then proceeded to root the device it said everything went ok. After all that, I go on to boot and the HTC logo shows up and the fades off into a black screen and just hangs there.
I tried going into recovery but it shows the HTC logo and then switches to a black screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on how the fix this?

you tried to turn it completly off hold volume down and get in hboot?
you can restore it there by just putting an pd98.img on your sd

EDIT: WOW. Thanks a lot! I restored and tried rooted again. It worked.
Just want to say thanks to the OP for creating this thread, and those that assisted him.
Ive wasted a night trying to fix my phone.. only to locate this thread and fix my desire hd...
Its worth retaining threads like these.. so do not delete! lol
Hello !
My HTC One X has a modified boot screen from my local carrier company ... its awfull..
After the "Quietly Brilliant" screen , normally comes the "One ... Beats Audio" logo, instead i have a carrrier screen ..
I havenĀ“t root or anything yet on this phone, just 1 day old
So, how can i delete the carrier boot animation and restore the "Beats audio"?
P.D: The carrier animation also appears when i restart the HOX
Cheers!
I think there is no way to change bootanimation without root permissions.
Yea the only way to modify the boot/shutdown animations is with root as they reside in /data/local or /system/customize/resource.
i know i have to root my phone, a just need to know have can i change the bootscreen to international default

Yes you can. When you root your phone you can have any animation you desire. The best way is changing it with rom toolbox pro. There you have hundreds of animation and boot sounds. But if you prefer the international default im certain you can download it from somewhere on the forum.
Thx for the replys. I installed hd rev. Rom and my boot screen is htc default ( among other goodies from the rom )

Hi guys,
one of my friends wanted to root his desire hd with advanced hack kit. While it was rooting there was a blackout
and now he cant connect it to pc anymore. If tryin to start it after removing the battery he just get the htc logo followed by a blackscreen.
Starting into Bootloader works, but Factory Reset and Recovery both ends in a Blackscreen.
Is there a way to get this fixed, or is this Desire definitely finished?
hope u can help
thanks in advance

Can you tell us what the Bootloader screen says? I mean the text on top of the bootloader.
Depending on what it says.. there might be a possbility to flash a recovery and/or a boot image using fastboot.
okay i hope someone on here can give me specific details on how to fix this pain in the @$$ problem lol
i rooted phone unlocked boot loader but for some damn reason it'll boot up like it's booting up
into the custom recovery (which i have twrp) the htc brilliant screen with red text here are the problem
after i installed or flashed them
1.) after loading rom/kernel i would be stuck at the "htc quietly brilliant" screen w/ the red text stays there
or i get this issue
2.) the htc queitly brilliant with red text comes up then boots phone but goes through boot loop
phone make model:
htc one v (cricket) with htc sence
hboot version: 1.57.0000
s-on
radio-1.00.05.0929
eMMC-boot
again boot loader is unlocked and phone is rooted or at least was i did factory reset it a few times out of frustration and did full wipe of phone
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks please help.
UPDATE:
I managed to fix the above issues how ever i still need assistance. i've tried various roms still getting boot loop issue but with out the red text (custom recovery boot). it boot normally like it should but keeps rebooting after the plain htc quietly brilliant scree. i had found the myonev rom but it boots up to the main screen when u go to unlock it but it reboots shortly after that(with out a chance of unlucking the screen). any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
tried RUU doesn't work uknown error
hopefully there is a solution i've been surfing on xda like a crack head lmao trying to figure this out lol i've come close to the solution but still boot loops.
if any one here knows where to get the latest cricket RUU for htc one v cdma please post as well
Hope you get it all sorted out but you're in the wrong section. This is for the soon to be released HTC One.
Step 1: Look at the model of your device.
Step 2: Look at the model for which this forum section is dedicated to
i apologize but new to the forums still, this is gonna sounds stupid lol new to the htc rooting procedure even though i have rooted a dozen phones at least but i asume that htc one v was the model number to my phone? probably not. but where can i locate it if i can't get to the phone because of the phone boot looping there is no way that i found that the battery can be removed and again apologize for my ignorance new to the htc rooting let me know thanks.
everything is going good except the boot loop, boots up normally goes to the main screen then restarts
