Don't think so, that would seriously affect the security of the NFC technology. + I would think the NFC card is somehow encrypted.
So the phone will never replace the card right?

That is correct, unless the maker of your card have an app which would do the necessary function.

I talked with HID about this very issue. They are beta testing this technology with Blackberry phones right now. Look on Youtube for HID Global Pilot Arizona State. You will see what they are doing. HID says that the "credential" is put intot he "secure" portion of the OS that is not accessible. Each phone will have to be tethered and written to from some kind of software. So to answer your question, it is coming. Keep your eyes and ears open!!
Thanks

Onboard storage is irrelevant when you live in the cloud. Just like Google wants you to. I have 9GB free. Most of my space is taken up by backups and ROMs.

Same here. I dont miss sd card slot at all.
Except the cases whčn i need to film a lot (vacation).

I only miss the SD card because I have several Android devices and I'd like to be able to take one out and put it another one in for purposes such as music, etc.
32gb would have been nice so I could keep more than 2 roms backed up at once on my galaxy nexus plus allow for all my games, apps an music, 16 gb really doesn't go that far for me, I find myself uninstalling a lot of stuff an keeping apps an games backed up with titanium backup so I can easily get it back quickly if I need to so I have storage space.

Free "Thanks" I did not mean to thank you.
But anyway, I have like 10 back ups + music + HQ movies. I honestly don't see a difference in sells if Google were to add additional storage to this phone.
Sent from the future.
Maybe sales may even have gone done because the price would have to be a bit more.

I really love how I just bought this phone brand new in box off contract from Google for $399

I totally agree that I'd have liked to see a 32GB option and/or a slot for a microSDXC card, like the Galaxy SIII has. I don't want to depend on cloud storage for my music files. And I'd rather use my own music app rather than the Google Play music player. A 64GB microSDXC card in the GN would be perfect.
As it is, I bought a 64GB flash drive that I mount on my GN via USB OTG and Stickmount. Not ideal, but it works.

Would of?
What the hell does that mean?
Would've, while sounding like "would of" is in fact short for "would have"
Together the two words show timing and intent, but could be used apart:
I would buy.
I have bought.
But the same is not true of your use of the word "of."
I of bought.
Simple mistake based on tricks our ears play on us.
No offense intended.

Sorry. Pet peeve. About once every few years I end up posting someplace about "would, should, could of".
Sorry you had to see this, it won't happen again for about 3 years.
Carry on.

Well states wise, how much they would have sold, if Google had a unified launch of launch product. as i remember the release date from Verizon was foggy at best. Then they offered no way buying in the stateside besides Ebay/Amazon, till whatever exclusivity deal expired with Verizon. Then Google finally offered directly and Sprint got the phone.
I could only imgine that this phone would have sold well, if it had any amount of marketing, and unified launch besides one carrier in the states

I have an 8gb card in my phone now and 1.1gb left it's safe to say that 16gb will be okay for me. I'm looking at price point of the phone. Not the memory.

You really think it would have sold any more units with 32GB storage? I find that hard to believe. If you choose your phone based on 16GB vs 32GB storage, and are willing to give up having a Nexus because of it, you clearly don't get it. I still have yet to understand why anyone would need that much storage.
And MicroSD sucks. Partitions and UMS are just a pain in the ass. Don't expect Google to ever use them again in a Nexus device.

Ran into an odd situation, if I swap physical phones on my account can I do it while being touted on CM10 or would I have to go back to stock? Thanks on Sprint

Yep I used an upgrade on one of my 5 phones and want to swap devices. Not sure if I need to go stock so when they re provision with numbers things go smoothly
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Should be fine as is.
You don't need to be stock to swap plans or move devices around to other lines in your account.
The only time you want to revert to stock is if for a warranty repair through the carrier. A lot of times they don't even care but a rom can introduce weird bugs that can be mistaken for hardware malfunctions.

No. But it has 32 GB of internal storage so it tends to be plenty.

Yes you could. I purchased the full version for use with my s3 and s4 and it works a treat. However, is it really necessary with 32gb?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
You probably can by rooting but seeing how I don't have the phone and was just doing some research on it and my friend is looking at getting the phone and he isn't big into the whole rooting thing but thanksfor your guys help
Just curious what everyone is choosing for the promo, a Galaxy fit2, or 256gb micro sd and why?

Both. I upgrade me and the wife to the Note 7. I will use the fit 2 because I love all electronic s..the wife takes way too many pictures... sometime ten of the same thing...but NEVER deletes any of them...I guarantee she fills it up before the Note 8 comes out

At first I thought about the Gear Fit 2 to get at least $100 on Ebay because there are so many fake Memory cards on Ebay I doubt I'll get that much. Not sure, I guess the memory card and probably keep it. I currently have a 200gb Sandisk Ultra card but I guess the 256gb will be faster with obviously a few more GB of storage?

I was leaning towards the watch but I might just get the card and wait for the gear s3 to be announced. Plus the card should have better resale value.
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
Definitely getting the card, I have the Gear S watch so no need for that device.
Is this for every carrier or just T-Mobile?
Going with the Gear Fit 2. Should be a good replacement for my OG Gear. Plus I already have a 200GB mSD from when I got the V10 last year.

Here in Canada it's the Gear Fit 2 or the Level Box Pro Bluetooth speaker. I know fitness wearables seem to drop in value fast on Kijiji and such so I'm not sure what I'll get. My home stereo has Bluetooth so I'm not sure just how much I'd use the speaker, and I'm kind of holding out for the Gear S3 watch

Easy the 256 gb card it's valued at 300.00 the fit 2 is 179.00 besides I have a Garmin Fenix 3 HR for fitness and smart watch features.
