Official A100 Downloads removed by Acer? - Acer Iconia Tab A100

I was doing my morning browsing and found that Acer has removed all of the drivers and source code files from the official A100 US support website, as listed here : http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3849
Good thing I downloaded the drivers last week!
Any thoughts?

As Crossix demonstrated Acer does still seem to have the USB driver available, also in case you didn't know you can get them from google here and if you use a linux system it wont require them.

All the files are up on my github and available for anyone to look on and improve or even continue in case i stop . i know there is already a few toolkits over here but i figured since ive got the galaxy nexus i might as well post mine here since i added gnexus support to my nexus s 4g one almost a year ago.
since the best way to root a nexus device is via flashing recovery and then obtaining root that way rather than using an exploit that doesnt unlock your bootloader, or relying on a pre-rooted kernel which works great assuming no one ever updates ;P. some people have a hard time with rooting the nexus, this isnt a true one click but its designed in teh style (i think you need to have maybe 4-5 actions on your behalf besides pressing enter/space ). so before questions begin, yes it will work on all firmware versions even key lime pie and beyond.. its just the nature of nexus devices

Kudo's for finding a positive.
got my drivers and everything installed. the script runs, opens up the bootloader and asks me to select unlock and press power. . . but there's no unlock option, just reboot bootloader, recovery, reboot and power off. am i doing this right?
I had a huge problem with this script/app.
The undo process run on a Nexus S seems to have tricked my NS into being a NS4G. I really could use help from ANYONE who can, especially OP.

Just want to make sure that this will work on the new gwk74 software version, not sure if the software has anything to do with the rooy, i am going to attempt this sometime this weekend. also if i need to un-root it to get sprint to service it will this do it?
thanks for this, i was iffy about using this on my wifes ns4g on 2.3.7 till i read the comments for the youtube video. it worked like a charm on the first try.

There is not.much to the adb commands. In fact, there is one. Fastboot oem unlock. I know it doesn't answer your question about the link but the way Google provided is really quite simple as well.
Is that the other "one click root" that is up here? The old one or whatever? Caused I tried that and it's not working either.

In fact i received 2 ota, first 233MO and the second 3Mo
We poor people here in Canada,,,we dont get any updates......I asked acer support Canada and about update release region schedule, and was told that it is set in Taiwan,,and that they have no idea ,who gets what when .
Wonder how this will effect rooted users?

Well there was a scheduled ICS update planned for shortly after Xmas. Could this be it? Have either of the two updates been flashed to the tab? I'm curious about the
3mo update.

I wonder if its the same exact 3.2.1 one i posted in the ROM section.
As I posted in another thread, when I was corresponding with acer support they told me that Canada was scheduled for the 3.21 update in late December or early January
So it is logical to assume that IF the ICS update comes in january ,,(and remember the only confirmation that there will be one,was from an acer rep in Poland.),that it will likely not come to regions such as Canada till april/may if ever
.
Please check "/cache/fota_dn/" before update!
check for what?? I dont seem to have a fota_dn folder anyway

That was meant for anyone whose receiving the OTA prompt. The OTA package is cached in that certain location before ur tab initializes the update, because once the update is applied, that package is deleted from that directory.
So....extract and copy the update before ur tab uses it, and then upload for everyone else to enjoy
Atleast, that's how I took it

3.2.1 seemed to fix the headphone bug, even the "unofficial" version from xda fixed it.
Good question, I am wondering as well.
Got the two updates in Ontario as well once I went back to 3.2.
Also in the Netherlands: at jan 2 installed 2.007.01 and 2.007.04.
The only difference I noticed is the market page layout; for me the old version was fine.

I'll be sure to dump the whole /system or whole ROM and package it up in Kitchen.
After Graduation.
Was this ever posted for the VIBRANT? Will this help with things like GPS drivers and such being implemented in future versions of android?

Samsung did release the source code for the Vibrant, but NOT for their proprietary drivers (IE: Modem, GPS, etc)
Hence why most of the ICS ROMs have fubar'd 911 and/or GPS on Vibrant (Though both have come a LONG way since initial releases)

[Q] ROM for Note 8 bought in China without GAPPS?

China is a very tricky place to buy gadgets if you live there. I had the same problem with my first galaxy tab, and thats when i got aquatinted with XDA since then. No problems with S3's and Note 2's as you can find them rooted with proper ROM's even at the stores here.
I got my hands on the Note 8 as soon as it came, and there is not much happening in the development area so far. I have achieved Root, but failed to flash anything, as there is only 1 German ROM available. Anybody who can contribute in giving ROM and CSC solutions for expats living and working in China would be appreciated and properly thanked
take a look at the sammobile site, and be aware that the device is classed as a phone there.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
There are a ton of stock ROMs for a lot of markets for the N5110. I don't know if there are as many for the device you have, which I think is a 5100?

Thank you for your suggestion. Yes i got the N5100 and sammobile is great. However it is blocked in China, and can be accessed only through VPN. Same like sites like hot file.com etc...
Therefor this website is a perfect haven for us who reside in China. If we would have more links here would be very helpful..
Unfortunately, the files are are huge (the stock firmware is a 1.1 gig file) so uploading and hosting is a chore.
If you had a copy of the play store would it work?
There are copies of the play store all over the place. I'd think you could extract the APK that's used with CM10 and install that, as long as you had root.

Windows 10 mobile Gadgets app

Hi!
Gadgets app is not working since hard reset. Now i have the latest redstone build in my Lumia 535 DS, but the app can't find any wired (Jack) or wireless (BT) accessories. I've heard they released an update with app version 4.4.xxxxx.x, but i have 4.3.10820.0 and store can't find any update for it. I've reinstalled the app many times, and still don't work. It's since i made a hard reset on my phone, before it it's worked properly (i don't know what app version i had before hard reset). Before hr i had insider fast ring, and i've not restored any backup. What can i do? Can someone send an updated xap/appx?
