Hide SMS Notification

I'm sure there is a hack to hide the pop up notification which is displayed for about 5 secs when you receive a message
It's a bit embarrasing if you have the phone on the dashboard for satnav and then a private text is summarised as it arrives
All i want is the incoming tone and symbol - not the message sender and text displayed

Hide SMS notification
To hide the pop up notification:-
go to start, then settings, then click on sounds & notifications,
from the events dropdown list pick Messaging: New Test Message,
then just tick or untick display message on screen!
also has options for playing sounds and a flashing notification light.

annoying notification and badges problem

when i receive sms or miss call - i see it in the notification panel, but when i swipe it- it does not clear as read and it still provide badges
is this "OS thing" or is there a way so that if i swipe left/right a sms or miss call, it does not put badges in my sms or phone icon

one time i saw an app that display all my text history merge with the caller's info
this way when i talk to someone, i can also see what we been texting about

Missing SMS and call icons in contact screen

My contact screen is missing the SMS icon and the call icon. Empty circles appear instead, which I have to press to make a call/send a message. Unfortunately I'm a new user and cannot post a link to a screenshot here.
How can this be fixed? My phone is rooted - can I somehow restore the icon files?

Multiple Whatsapp notifications

here's the scenario:
- say phone is on (maps in navigation or am using the phone to read facebook & co.)
- I receive one whatsapp message: the notification on top is shown with the message I have just received
- I do not open the notification, so the whatsapp icon remain on the top bar
- I receive another whatsapp message from a different person: the notification on top is shown again BUT with the same message I received the first time, I need to fully swipe down to see both messages

Yes, same happens here... May be WhatsApp issue

Nova 7 Notification Badge

Hi all, after Nova 7 update there are something different with notification badges, i suppose due to the end of use of Tesla Unread.
Before i had notification badge for all notification, not just those on the notification bar.
In particular there are different behaviours with Whatsapp: i have many groups chat with notification turned off, with Tesla Unread the notification badge still showed the count of unread messages, both of "regular" chats and muted ones, which was very useful to me; now after the update, i see notification badge only for "active" notifications and i have to enter the app to see all unread messages.
Anyone in my same situation? Are there any workaround?
I hope i have explained.
