I've flashed my Xperia Play R800i via Flashtool to 4.0.2.A.62
The ROM is freshly flashed, no changes was made. I've seen in DoomLord's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502
That "for optimal results it is HIGHLY recommended to use -36 baseband with corresponding libs... "
So here's what I'm asking, do I need to change the baseband version before installing DoomKernel?
I don't think it really matters when the baseband and libs are flashed. I flashed both much after flashing the kernel and everything is working great.

First of all from what baseband you have upgraded? What kernel are you using? Usualy all kernels have wifi modules asociated with them... so my recomandation is reflash wifi modeules in CWM. If you have changed kernel and before you`ve had doomkernel, you might need to reflash (from scratch) the Rom also !
Iv upgraded from .56 installed Arconium ICS and flashed .72 as well with the 72libs.zip through CWM, im using XArc v2.0.431 kernel for my arc s
and before i had CM7.2 (GB) with the default FXP kernel for it... btw i dont know if im sure or not but i think i didnt have USB debugging enabled when i flash the bb72.ftf
i also flashed the libraries for bb72 through CWM after i flashed the .ftf
Do a fresh install, and don't flash the libs. They are already included in the Rom.

Hello.
I Have my Arc S LT18i rooted and have the Ice Beam rom installed. Now i want to overclock my 1.4 GHZ CPU.
I Use SetXperia. However I get me bar no further than 1.4 GHZ. What am I doing wrong? I have given the app SuperUser permssion.
Thanks!
What kernel are you using?
Hmmm,
I have actually really no idea.
The only thing I have used is the following method and then the 3rd post.
And then the Arc S kernel. I then installed the Ice Beam ROM on here.

this tutorial is for 4.1.B.0.587 only!
1) flash the 4.1.A.0.562 kernel http://www.mediafire.com/?twn09p8ekug46f7 (thanks to sathurnn)
note: you might get errors after the reboot, don't worry, this is normal and step 3 will fix that.
2) root your Arc/s with DooMLoRD's tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1601038
3) flash the 4.1.B.0.587 kernel
Arc kernel only:

Arc S kernel only:
http://i.minus.com/1345808607/vsMMtn...ernel_only.ftf
Thanks, that's all that I know.
You need a kernel that's overclockable, and one that's for your FW.
Thanks. I know enough.

hahahahaha your asking for the perfect rom wich is not been created yet lol
i would recomend you follow attacks post for the step by steps
but for gaming i would probably go with Cola Rom as it is the fastest rom for gaming and probably doomkernel for your kernel.
and for jellybean rom i would go with Slimbean...well thats my thoughts... hoped it helped

Is doomkernel good for 2.3.3? I've tried Lupus GBv11 it works but the wifi is only functional on 2.3.4 I've tried hatcyl's 2.3.3 kernel with 1.6 overclock which just causes my play to bootloop and act crazy. Whats the best kernel available to 2.3.3? From what I can tell the bulk of custom ROMS are based off 2.3.3. Aside from Lupus' GBv11 kernel wifi problem with 2.3.3 it worked perfectly. So a good custom ROM based off 2.3.4 might be an alternative, any suggestions?

Doomkernel v2 is the best kernel that I have used. I run it at 1.2ghz smartassv2 and sio. You also have to flash wifi modules that come with it. I've never had problems with it. Debloated stock 2.3.3 or my Zeuscnxtlite(Stock 2.3.3) rom gets me 300mb free ram on average.
Since Download links are down for doomLord, here are the files.

Hey every! My Xperia Pro is running Gin2Jellybean 2.4.0 and advanced stock kernel. If I flash Baseband77 from to my device, could anything bad
happen? Gin2Jellybean is GB based and the latest baseband for GB on xperia pro is 64. Can anything go wrong if I flash a newer ICS baseband for
my device?
Thanks!!

It will work fine, though certain baseband-related differences may occur (I am not sure, which).
Well, as said in the title, here you have it (It does not contain any Kernel and it doesn't wipe data):
I deleted branded apps (customization) from the system, its as clean as the World generic and it wont show the roaming R.
Original FTF: (Thanks to @ska67) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423025
ROM: http://dfiles.eu/files/wo3rkrtji
- Flash Doomlords .96 stock kernel
- Flash the ROM with CMW
- (Wipe data if coming from AOSP based ROM)
(use google to find how to download fast and free from depositfiles)
Try it and say me if it works (it should)

SL = SL and S = S. How about looking on the second page? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417655
Anyway, I bet you could put this on XS without issues (it doesn't contain a kernel) but why bother, the XS version is almost identical and has been available longer.
Im on a Locked Bootloader
I have .96 Stock Firmware And Kernel Already. rooted, Installed busybox , installed CWM.
If I install this via CWM recovery. Will I lose CWM? Will I need to Flash .96 Stock Kernel Again?
I can't flash kernel Using flashtool cuz i Have my USB connectivity not working. or damaged trim area
Yup you will lose your cwm but can reinstall that's wat happened to me and now all good
