I have codename 1.3.0 and I have themed most of the google apks to be inverted and have different icons than what was originally on the gapps of the codename rom. If I update the rom to a later version, the apps will go back to way they were, ie. not be inverted and have original icons. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening if I flash a later version of codename? Or will i have to redo all of my theming?

Hi,
I'm running Black Ice - and the ROM itself is good, but I'm not a huge fan of the skin. The lockscreen is very dark and the symbols have changed, and also the statusbar has different icons which I'm not that keen on.
How can I restore the default cyanogenmod theme, is there a flashable zip that removes all of the custom skins?
Thanks
You should just switch back to cyanogen. Devs take a base and add a theme to it because they are targeting a specific look. If its not for you then switch to something else. If there are other themes available for a Rom they will be posted in op or someone in thread will post a working one. I don't think they are interested in going for the cyanogen look since cyanogen already has the vanilla look down.
I know the black ice devs don't want the vanilla look, and I'm ok with that. But you can skin roms in different ways, so surely one is the default cyanogenmod look?
The thread mentions copying systemui.apk and framework-res.apk but I'm not having any luck.
And blackice has some great tweaks, which is why I'm using it
Black ice is derived from cyanogen so you should be able to extract those two files from framework in cyanogen and push them to your phone and then reboot. What problems are you experiencing while trying this? You could try using the kitchen to swap the files.
One my absolute favorite things about Android is using the inverted apps. Currently there are some ROMs with inverted apps but most of the ROMs I want to use just use the regular ones. I'm not sure whats involved with inverted gapps but does anyone know of an inverted gapps download for JB? I'm guessing it depends on the ROM base and I've mostly been looking at CM10 based ROMs
Apparently I'm the only one
I haven't seen a gapps package but there are some inverted apps floating around in the themes & apps section (check out the Dark Jelly thread)

I dont have an entire gapps package but here are some that I have themed;
Messaging
GMail
Dialer/Contacts
This is a Stock Google theme for the great RasBeanjelly ROM.
I've also removed the gradients and replaced them with the black background.
I've also included a AOSP keyboard from RasBeanjelly 12.08 OTA that has stock look. If you want to keep the RasBeanjelly new keyboard, then delete the /system/app/LatinIME.apk from the Theme zip file.
This is a VRTheme. Its universal - thus not build dependent. Means that you can flash the theme over any RasBeanjelly ROM build for mako / Nexus 4.
Don't ask for screenshots - its stock Google look from 4.2.1 ROM.
Enjoy!
You can download it on my developer site at goo-inside.me.

thanks BM, I'll definitely try this one.
Thank you for this!!! I love the rom but the theme was killing me.
Can anyone link me to a thread which has all the stock apps available for download?
Currently on FoxHound 2.4 on JB 4.1.2
The following STOCK apps are wanted:
Music Player
Stock Font (before i flashed the rom, i was able to see the emoji in the status bar, currently it is appearing as a 'square')
Is there a way to install Thyrus MOD Theme in the stock version of JB 4.3 deodexed version?
I know I can change icons via Nova Launcher, I used to be able to change the theme via a CM-based ROM like TeamEOS, etc. But how can you change just the theme in a stock ROM? Is there a T-Mobile Theme App APK available?
