Hey
So well I have a CM 7.2 Installed on my Arc with CWM Default Recovery.
I thought If trying out new firmwares so ThoughI'll download the Alpha of ICS from Doomlords post.
I downloaded all the stuff and started out with switching kernel to doomkernel from CWM. I opneed fast boot and flashed his kernel .img file.
It rebooted in His kernel and I flashed both of his files and the wifi patch or whatever. and Wiped chache and data and other suff and dalvick cache aswell.
When I rebooted then, It didnt show dom kernel's logo but CWM!
And Well, Then nothing happened and it froze for about 10min. :|
I tried flashing his kernel again and rebooting, It just shows doom's logo once afer reboot and den CWM!
Help somebody
You need to wipe it after flashing all too.
But CMW is appearing, a Recovery Mode? Or a boot image?
I tryied to but no result, but i dont installed the kernel from the post, than i will use my MIUI Rom
But good luck, if news, post to me
Well, Its a boot image but it goes into CMW recovery mode only
It's like the doom kernel is flashed only for 1 time booting :|
After 1st boot, Its CMW Recovery
I Have to wipe Kernel?
How to do that?
Via doom recovery?
Where's the option?
after flashing kernel,power on your phone,hit volume down,enter cwm,wipe everything,n go to "advance",wipe dalvik,then flash the rom..

How did you flash the kernel?
You have to flash it with fastboot flash boot boot.img .
If you're only typing fastboot boot boot.img, it'll only test the kernel and check if it boots.

Thats what I did!

hi!
After installing update-cm-7.1.0.1-Xperia Arc-LT15i I have a problem that vibrate Broken Is there any solution?
Yeah, wait for the update with the fix in it
First backup ur current rom..then flash with .368 den insatl cm 7,it s worked for me..
Sent from my LT15i using Tapatalk
So it means to boot into CWM recovery, wipe all datas, boot and dalvik cache,
power down the phone, use flashtool to flash the .368 ftf file?
after that use flashboot to flash the img file of cwm again?
then go into recovery, wipe all datas, boot and dalvik cache, install cm7 zip from sd card? reboot then go into recovery again to install gapps zip then reboot?
Did I miss anything here?
Yes..then u wil get back vibration..

I tried flashtool on my PC to flash the stock SE .368 rom...it keeps aborting...And because it aborted, the phone can't be switched on...
So I try to flash the .ftf file on another PC, and strangely enough, it flashed without problem...I was able to revert back to .368 rom after that, flashboot the CWM boot.img, rebooted into CWM recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, wipe battery, wipe dalvik...
Installed the CM7.1 rom and GAPPS thereafter...it booted into CM7.1.
Question is...why is it my PC keeps aborting the flashing of the .ftf file?
I am using windows 7 home 64bit.
The other PC that flashed without problem is a windows 7 home 32bit.
If my experience can help people here...thanks.

Thanks for all and special thanks for DooMLoRD
Yesterday unlocked via HTC dev. The through fast boot flashed twrp. That didn't work so well I couldn't actually flash any ROMs I could make a backup and I could restore. OK so I flashed cwm through Fast boot success however I flashed 2 ROMs one experia all seemed to work but WiFi was of no use I don't pay for service so that was obviously a no go. I flashed the ROM 3 times even re downloading it again. Ok so on to aokp flashed via cwm flashed jb gapps flashed boot.IMG via fast boot. Would boot up to start up then FC and reboot and boot loop at the aokp screen. Repeated numerous times getting various results.
Now I relocked boot loader and ran the ruu.exe and had to leave in the process it looked like it was booting hopefully when I come home it will be back to stock. Far from a dev so I am confused. I just want to try out some roms? Could this but a kernel issue? Recovery or something else?

first more info will get u more accurate advice ie.... build date of aokp.... last nightly is messed up use stable for best results. also the method of which u applyed these roms would be nice htc s-on is a pain so it requires a little diffrent prosses thin on other phones and diffrent strokes for diffrent roms
for wifi u have to reflash boot.img....
for FC and bootloops factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache....
download latest nightly and follow this------>
1. download rom and gapps, transfer them to root of SD card
2. extract boot.img(the kernel) from ROM zip,or whichever is compatible and place it in fastboot folder
3. go into bootloader, FIRST flash the boot.img in fastboot.
4. go into recovery, then FULL WIPE-factory reset, erase cache and dalvik cache.
5. then flash the ROM.
6. boot into the rom.then again enter into recovery and then flash gapps.
do the above steps in the same order all over again....it should work...:fingers-crossed:
If I am not mistaking I used the latest stable build of aokp, and I flashed both roms through recovery using both CWM and TWRP and also flashed kernel using fastboot. Although I reflashed TWRP and flashed AOKP and all seems to be right in the world. right now in at the set up screen so far no freeze or boot loop and wifi is working. Consider this problem solved
And yeah S-on sucks!
right ima cut to the chase
i used to use cyanogen mod 10 but wanted a official rom from sam mobile so i flashed via odin and cocked up my note 2 n7100
now i can get into recovery and download mode and i have flashed the same cm10 via tw recovery and it hangs on boot animation
i then wiped and flashed via recovery SSHD rom and it also hangs at boot animation so what do you guys think is wrong?
i need this fixed it cost way too much to just thow in the junk draw espcially since i cant work anymore.
thanks
-FatBoyNate
When you change your rom you need to wipe data from recovery.

Always flash custom rom through custom recoverys only (not from stock rom). Flash TWRP or CWR or Philz recovery first and then flash custom rom.
After flashing custom rom or stock rom, first wipe data and cache (as above said) before rebooting.
sent from my GT-N7100. Press thanks if I helped..

get into recovery flash this file http://d-h.st/fWr u will loose evrything from internal memory, now after it reboot to recovery just flash your rom but dont reboot after installation.
first click fix permission
then wipe cache and dalvik atleast twice
then reboot!
it should load the rom fine, and i would suggest to stay with philz recovery and create a backup of efs and rom both the terminal way and through recovery too

I hope u are rooted and have a custom recovery installed if yes then its a script to clean wipe the rom to start a fresh install better known as dirty flash so when u flash the zip it will wipe ur cache, dalvik, system on recover and will automatically reboot to recovery then u can proceed wth any custom rom u want the latest philz recovery is recommended.i am using my phn yo reply and already 4am morning here so be sure what you are doing , give complete info of ur phn status as wht u hv done till now if u have all as mentioned abv then u r good to go and flash, but in ur case the flash of the file was not successful so u can manually wipe all mentined above and procced as instructed.
Its an instruction for custom rom and recovery if u have stock then just wipe cache and dalvik and try booting up.
Off to sleep
If you are unsure of what u r doing then try to get hands on odin and flash stock rom ,as messing up to much may damage ur pit partition

Thank you so much. All is well now. :highfive:
I successfully flashed cyanogenmod 11x last night. I followed the steps and everything works great! The phone boots fine, all features work ok. I had a slight issue of it hanging on the CM logo, but I powered down, booted to hboot > factory reset, and it booted up fine the second time.
Strangely, I don't seem to be able to get into recovery any more? if I go into hboot > recovery it just boots CM. I tried flashing the recovery again using fastboot, as I did when first installing CM, but it still doesn't work. Next I installed Rom Manager, installed the latest CWM, and rebooting into it from there - Still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
I had the same problem i was flashing the boot.img in the recovery partition. Fastboot flash recovery [recovery.img]
Fastboot flash boot [boot.img]

Thanks! flash recovery did it!
I changed the boot animation speed value from 21 to 35 and it got into a bootloop. So i thought of changing my rom to miui custom rom but for that i needed cwm recovery So i tried to flash cwm recovery using sp flash tool but it does not start flashing. I also tried doing factory reset but found no progress at all. So please guys help me.
