i download the doomkernel could i return tho the original without flashing my device
If you're using a stock rom it should be ok but you'll probably have to flash the stock wi-fi modules.

Hi I want to use the stock rom but doom kernal doe overclokcing and was wondering how I would do this as everytime I install the stock rom it overwirtes the kernal.
First flash the rom via flashtool and then doomkernal via fastboot. The stock roms contains the stock kernal so you have to flash therom first

Flash the rom first.
Then flash doomkernel.
Then flash doomkernel's wifi modules (to enable wifi option)

Hey guys, I tried to install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591279
Which seemed to work as phone was working 100% and was booting up faster
But if I rebooted no blue light would come one and I couldn't go into cwm
So then I tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680793
which wouldn't even boot at all
I'm runny stock 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) with various mods but nothing that should affect kernel
and yes my bootloader is unlocked
thanks
Hi Mate,
If you want to use the stock kernel you could flash the stock kernel using flashtool, root it, then run this program:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5wdnkuQ1dNaW5zdGFsZXIiXQ..
On the other hand, you could just flash a custom kernel like ArcNight or infamous

hey thanks,
I've known about the x-parts cwm for a while but i have 2 issues with it
1. i don't currently have a wifi router
2. it's not built into kernel so not as reliable
and i've tried archknight but i find the stock is faster
Where can I find the latest stock kernel? I have the stock rom and changed the kernel, but I'm having some USB OTG issues and wanted to go back to stock and see if that helped.

Download the latest factory image and extract it from the zip (it's "boot.img"). Then, just flash it using fastboot.
Hey everyone,
last week I flashed my girlfriend's XMS with several custom ROMs, but none of them could really satisfy us, so I want to re-flash the stock ROM.
My question is: Can I just flash the ftf file with the flashtool if there is currently CM11 running on the device? Or do I need to erase the system before?
Will this also flash "stock recovery"? Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!
Yes, you can flash stock ROM. There is no need to format system, Flashtool will do its work. Stock recovery will not be flashed, because we don't have stock recovery on our device. But you can flash stock kernel with CWM or PhilZ Touch recovery.
if you want to leave your recovery ..check kernel
sin in exclude list in flashtool

No! Phone will not boot with custom ROM kernel (if custom ROM is not based on stock). So it is necessary to flash full stock at first and then to flash stock kernel with recovery, if you want to have recocery.

You flashed stock via Flashtool after CM11 or CM-based ROM without flashing stock kernel? It should not boot, I think, because 4.3 and 4.4 kernels are different.
Has anyone tried this? I need to do this also but I'm a little bit confused about flashing kernel. I tried to find a detailed guide somewhere but no success
