Hi.
According to my experience... i´m afraid it isn't possible to do that.
U´re only allowed to save your contacts on the phone or any acount you might have already have syncronized. U can send them via email too.
Otherwise, you can always save it on the phone and then export it to somewhere easy to acess (gmail, for exemple).
Good luck.

I asked my network and they could not help so unless some one can help me im going to have to ask HTC.

Hi,
Is your phone branded?
If so to get it to stock u need your operator´s RUU, or a gold card to run the HTC one.
not branded try the last WWE launched to Europe u can find it here : http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_142828_signed.exe
Wrong forum, it should go in Q&A
1. Wrong forum... You even mark your title as a question. Then why not put it in the question section, as it is clearly not development?
2. You problem is, that you have to choose a ruu with hboot version 0.93 or above(as for now i think 0.93 is highest). You cannot downgrade hboot officially! So chose the latest one released, and if your phone is branded, you need to be lucky and find the branded rom or you'll have to use a goldcard.
3. Being able to log onto your firms email server has nothing to do with rooting i promise you. There is no difference in the way it would log on. That is only managed by the app you use to log on. Unrooting will only make fixing the actual problem much more difficult, as you cannot change a thing on the system.

I would be inclined to agree with both points. Rooting will do nothing to affect your phones ability to log on to an e-mail server, the server doesn't collect any information about your phone and refuse it on the basis that it has, essentially, an 'app' called Superuser installed.

Hi,
I am new to android. I rooted my phone with unrevoke3 but now i want to unroot this because i am not able to upgrade system updates. My android version is 2.2,Baseband version is 32.44.00.32u and software number is 2.13.720.1. I have tried to flash RUU downloaded from shipped-rom.com but it fails to install by poping an error of rom not compatable: RUU_Bravo_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.13.707.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed(3)
What should i do?? How i can unroot my HTC Desire?? Please help..
Thanks in advance..!!
You will need to find the RUU for the ROM you're now on. If not, you'll have to find a way to downgrade.
If you have a gold card you can downgrade and then flash the RUU you can find. Follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768256
Thanks Eddy but where i can find gold card??

It is not about where you can find, it is about how you make them.
So...start searching in this forum on how to make/create a gold card for HTC Desire.
I need help with finding the right ROM for my Desire to restore it to original ROM.
Android 2.2

Build number: 2.10.163.1 CL227493 release-keys
Software number: 2-10-163-1

Hey,
I've tried to root my Desire by I get stuck at the "Backup CID missing" error. I did google about and couldn't find much and some said that the error appears when I need a gold card. Thing is my Desire is a factory unlocked piece and last time round I never used a gold card.
Its back from repair and now it is giving me this issue.
Any help appreciated

I had this problem initially on my SLCD desire 0.93 hboot.
The reason is that it need a custom root file to loaded through unlocker. This is available through XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9245153]
recovery-RA-desire-v1.7.0.1-R5.1-0.93.rar
after this it rooted perfectly

Go through this process if all else fails for you.
1. Make a goldcard (google it so you dont have to mess with hex anymore).
2. If your phone isnt branded download the latest ruu (or earlier if you want a lower hboot, but that doesn't matter anymore).
2a. If your phone is branded, find the ruu for your carrier.
3. Optional - if you are rooted, then nandroid, if not, back up apps etc if you want them.
4. Install HTC Sync (for drivers).
5. Put your phone in to fastboot (power + back button).
6. Connect USB and run ruu.
7. Once all that's done, select usb debugging and run unrevoked.
Worked for my messed up Desire!
- If step 6 is giving you hassle, go to device manager, find android and select drivers from a list, there should only be one or two extra.

连接手机和电脑,打开CMD(开始->运行->输入CMD,回车)
输入:adb shell(确定你装好了adb,不过,你能遇到这个问题,应该就是装了吧)
输入:cat /dev/mtd/mtd0 >/sdcard/misc.img(将misc分区镜像导出到sd卡上的misc.img文件中,强调一次,cat后面是有一个空格的!)
输入:getprop ro.cid(获取正确的CID号)
输入:exit(退出root)
输入:exit(退出adb shell)
现在打开一个十六进制编辑器,我用的winhex(提示镜像文件为磁盘时,选择否)
输入:adb push misc.img /sdcard/new-misc.img(将该好的misc.img传到SD卡中,命名为new-misc.img,手动复制亦可,自由变通)
输入:adb shell
输入:/system/__unrevoked_su
输入:/data/local/flash_image misc /sdcard/new-misc.img(将修改过的misc.img文件重新刷回手机)
Try this version of unrEVOked:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/dd5yh9
As I mentioned above in Chinese
1. Pull out the misc partition to a misc.img
2. Write the correct CID into this misc.img file
3. flash back
You can traslate the Chinese into English with google traslate
Try unrevoked version 3.21 seems to work fine
Regards
Vengeance

In my opinion, don't install it. I did, wish I hadn't. It literally offers nothing new to what froyo offered. I get FC on framework and weather doesn't update properly. Plus I like the T9 keyboard but the words it auto corrects to on 2.3 are ridiculous. So bad I can't use that anymore.
Seriously, root and flash something else. Theres a few ROMS out there with sense 3.0 and above now.

Branding means, your network provider "marks" the phone as one from it, e.g. by installing its own software.
If you bought your phone from a global store like amazon, it's not branded. If you bought your phone from your / a network provider, it's probably branded.

Hi,
I have bought this HTC 8s from china, but i am living in Europe, and i want to use custom rom on it because there is not an option for Facebook account and the messengers in the market are not the best.
I have read in the forum how to unbrand it, using RUU_singed.nbh and UEFI_singed.nbh, renaming them, putting them on SD card(FAT or FAT32 formatted) and going into bootloader(volume down + camera button +power) but the flash proccess is not starting.
CID- HTCCN704; PM5940001; IMEI 354946...761
The file i used RUU_RIO_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_1.04.401.03_1.11b.3054.25_10.13.30_RETAIL_ENC_RELEASE.
I would appriciate if someone could help me

I have same problem.
Can anyone help me?
I tried as well with the same ROM version listed above and the same manual flash button press sequence. It would not start the flash. If I had to guess, this ROM is not compatible with the a620t model since this China Mobile model has the radios for TD-SCDMA2000, TD-SCDMA1900 in which the regular 8S does not. These radio frequencies/protocol are specific to China Mobile.
