I'd be interested in buying one of these if it were to legitimately double my battery life but it seems a little too cheap.

Not worth it. Just buy two OEM batteries...
I don't believe in aftermarket batteries from my many experiences of it messing up my phone...it has to do something with the inconsistency of the voltage. That's just me though...
If there is a good reliable aftermarket battery out there I'm open to check it out....
I ordered one should get it by monday the 6th. will test it out and reply with results it was only 20 bucks so my hopes are low but we will see how it turns out
Its be great if this actually worked...especially the slim

stop buying from a non-reputable company...seido or mugen has been doing this for a long time and their product works.
Ehhh been trying this 3650 QCell battery now nothing great this is moderate to heavy usage

should be not bad given at this price range.
My friend got one of these. Its the same as the 12 dollar GTMax's, no diff from stock really.
Mugen batteries are probably worth the investment if you use your phone that heavily.
that's odd, cuz i got the qcell galaxy nexus one and also a gtmax version. the qcell one last longer than the gtmax one. perhaps it's luck of the draw. I'm going to give this one a try and see how it is
What is your conclusion after using that battery for a month? Is it better that stock one or worse?

I have also ordered one of these and i should have it on the 16th. I am new to xda so my opinion may be shrugged off but i have had my fair share of ext batteries. When i test this battery out i will post my results. I consider myself a power user so you will have results based on heavy use.

experience with qcell 3650mAh
I tried this battery out for about 3 weeks and did get noticbly longer battery life about 23 hours+ with heavy to moderate usage so IMO it was worth it ($10) altough i hated the extended battery cover the battery did keep my phone on relatively longer. only issue after about a month I cant charge the battery with my cable anymore, not sure if its the cable or not so im back to stock.
Extended battery 23-25 hours of heavy usage
Stock battery 12-15 hours of heavy usage
Hope this helps Hit thanks if if does

Here is my update on this Qcell battery from Amazon I have been texting and browsing the web and playing crime city pretty heavily and have gotten fantastic results from this battery. I am using the juggernaut 5.0 ROM and have no complaints about it yet. Does not get excessively hot while chafing using the OEM cord that came with my galaxy s2. I thought about that too, but with the problems I'm having, and all the different configs I've tried, my battery gets worse and worse, so I think it may be shot. Even if this is as good as a stock battery, it's cheaper than buying one from Sprint and could potentially be better than a stock.

i just returned the seidio 1750 mah battery, didn't make my battery last that much longer, at most i got an extra 3 hours. Also considering the 3500mah seidio was only a few bucks more, i decided to get that instead.
I don't know how many of you guys are from the MD area but there's a store in the local mall in Anne Arundel and they have or can get about any size/manufacturer battery. Its Cyberion I think, anyway good service reasonable prices and if I have issues I have an actual retailer to deal with. Ive been burned on line too many times I like having a person to deal with when issues or if issues come up.

I need some clarification:
Can the EVO battery and door work on the thunderbolt?
Has anyone tried the 3500 MAH battery from the EVO on the Thunderbolt?
Are all the HTC battery's inter-changable? I have the 3500 mah battery on the incredible does anyone know if that would work?

+1 here, the VZW 2750 is a beast, and there are a few cases that fit it now also.
honestly i have had no problems with the stock battery. i get 14 hours (the time im actually awake) out of my phone every day with 30% left every day. i use it moderately, mostly wifi use and gps use. im running lts and lean kernel.
Evo batteries will not work on the device. I also recommend the Verizon store HTC extended battery it'll last the whole day. Get a seidio case if you want to add protection.

Ummm yeah no, even from looking at Evo 3d batteries on the internet you can clearly see they are not the correct shape and are square vs the rectangular shape on the Thunderbolt.
I have the 1750mAh slimline but found through some testing that it doesn't last appreciably longer than the stock battery. I also have the VZW extended battery for use on long trips.
I have the Verizon extended battery with the Verizon extended battery hard case with slide in clip and I love it, it really isn't that much bulk I barely notice it anymore. And my battery life was dramatically improved I went from half a day to 2days with a good amount of usage. Yesterday I charged it fully and worked from 11-8, used it for a few texts not much usage tho and had 94 percent left.

Clearly the writing on the outside of these batteries are lies, since they do not last as long as they should.
However, for the cheap price - it does supply you with those extra critical hours you might need.
Also, the charger is very handy and also works with the stock battery! (hopefully does no harm!)
I ordered a 3600mAh battery from eBay last week. I don't suppose you have tried one of those yet have you?

About this battery, do you seriously expect it to make a difference? You won't be able to fit any case on the phone either. On the other hand, 16$ isn't the end of the world..
(Also, how do you charge them both, suppose you'll need a cradle of some sort?)

Hey I was curious if the 1800mah anker batteries will work without issue with our phone. I know I won't gain anything using those over the OEM but I lost mine and now I'm stuck using the 1500MAH batteries from my old vibrant and it really sucks. Plus these are only about $8 more than the OEM plus it comes with a second battery and charger for the battery itself so I can keep a charged spare with me at all times

I dont know why they wouldn't. If it works with the original epic/fascinate etc then it should be the same size battery as our phone.

Initial full charge drain has been markedly better than my 1 year old stock battery (whatever that's worth), but in all fairness I really can't comment on life as I literally just got them this afternoon.
They do fit just like the OEM & my phone powered up & has been running just fine for the last 5 hours.
I'm going to have to pick up a pair. I really wanna go back and run the ASOP JB but I was losing far to much battery life even with the placebo diet pill. Hell even with Calk's v3.0 I am using a lot of charge quick I can only assume its because I'm having to use the 1500MAH instead of the OEM 1800

I forgot to mention also, as an added bonus, you can adjust the charging pins & mounting plate/bracket on the included wall charger to accommodate practically any phone battery. Think of it as a universal phone wall charger.

I also saw that before I ordered these, & after doing some research, decided to take a chance on them anyway. No regrets here at all. In fact, they're working really good. Same thing happened to me with the flickering screen (at around 50-60% battery), then shutoff. Took the plunge on Ferocity Mobile battery from ebay and so far so good. Did 3 complete full charge/discharge cycles and they perform like a new stock battery. Two batteries and a charger for $10 delivered. Great deal.Took about 3 days to get across country.

Not a bad idea.
I have to say, it's definitely handy to have a fully charged battery available if you might need to do a nandroid or flash a ROM in a moment's notice and you're getting low on the battery that's in your phone.
Anker batteries are VERY good. They outperform my stock battery almost every charge. just be sure to properly charge them and discharge them the first few times you use it.
Your mileage may vary,
There is another brand, hyperion, and while generally i was getting ok battery life with these batteries, maybe, on par with the stock battery, they have turned to junk and last maybe 8 hours if im lucky. they just seem to drain even when your phone is idle. I highly recommend anker batteries for a good replacement.
Here you go guys. Not too bad. Running the Anker:

i get up for work at 3am and my s3 is unplugged from that point till about 3pm when it needs to be plugged in (15% or less). 12 hours is fine with me because in that time i've had LTE on, google now and all gps on, multiple email accounts and apps syncing every hour and texting also. if you're doing about the same, then you might have to do a bunch of compromising to get better battery time. i'm not willing to do that.
So I am guessing that there is no extended battery then?

There are extended batteries but just look around. To my knowledge there are not currently any stock extended batteries available (hopefully soon) but there are plenty of others. Just do some research first. If you do not mind giving up the slimness of the phone (which you are probably not worried about for any decent extended battery) you could get a case such as mophie jucie or powerskin which have built in batteries (and I think they are NFC friendly). While it is not an extended battery you can turn them on to recharge the battery and effectively getting you throughout your day.
Theres a slim 2300MaH Battery, called ZeroLemon relatively cheap 20$ for two of em and a spare charger. Then theres the stock samsung 3000MaH which includes a different battery plate since its bigger. To get better battery life, try a few full charges/cycles with certain kernel settings and rom. Then theres also huge 4000MaH + batteries which i refuse to get because well, it takes away the user experience. If you really must have gps/autp sync and those background task, I'm really going to suggest you go back to apple. They do one heck of a job for that. Battery life is a lot better on iOS with those background task's for some reason.
Zerolemon has a 7000mah battery around 30$

I don't have any experience with the battery myself so i would read the customer reviews.
I have and have used Seidio's ext. batt's on my last two Galaxy phones. Somehow, they made the battery for the S3 thinner than was on the S2. Also Seidio's back plates have their "soft touch" coating which gives you grip or non-slip properties.

Google genuine Samsung galaxy s3 extended battery. Mobile fun has them in stock for about $60. Really slim profile. I had a qcell extended battery that I pop in when traveling $25.

Buy a backup OEM battery... Best option as it will pay for itaelf if you must have it last throughout the day

If you don't care about the size get the 4500 mah one from gorillagadgets.com. like $25. I've had it since September and I get 4-5 hours screen time with Facebook, 3 emails syncing, Netflix, and texting all day. If you follow their instructions on breaking in the battery, you should be good. Best $25 I've spent on this phone

I picked up the Anker 4400 mAh battery a few months ago for about $25 and it's been great. I can get almost 2 days out of it depending on my usage and if I'm on wifi or HSPA+. Around 7 hours of screen on time as well.

Regular use day for me
@shakewell, what's the total screen time on during this discharge? i'm curious as i'm using my stock 2100 mAh battery and get this same battery life with 5+ hours of screen on time.
kernel/kernel tweaks make all the difference
Just buy the lemon...
From what I can gather, the ZeroLemon batteries are the way to go. I've heard nothing but great things about them and if you can get past the added form factor, the 7000mAh battery is able to last more than an entire day, if you manage things properly. They sell out fast on Amazon, but they are cheaper than most any other battery for the S3. And on top of all that, you'll be supporting an American business!
You can find them on Amazon.
