So, I ordered the SGP Ultra Olephobic and it was my first screen protector install ever. I put it on and I messed up...the first time. So I threw away that one and got a new one right? I tried putting that one on more carefully, but alas it didn't work. Then a friend told me that I should try a wet install of them. I tried it out an voila wet install sticks great with the same properties as the dry install, except MUCH MUCH easier. Now, I am a perfectionist and I will admit that my install was not perfect and I will probably do it again, but the fact that the wet install worked was awesome. So just wanted to share that. Any thoughts?

Try phantomskinz. You get 2 for 1 when you order online, for $10..
I'm confused about your post though. Most of the screen protectors I've used were wet.
great story....YAWN..........
Admittedly Apple users get some cool accessories but then again it's easy for manufacturers to focus on products for just one phone.
Anyhow, I wouldn't mind a case with a built in screen protector but looking at the vid below that thing gives off some major glare:
The point is that out isa dry screen protector and it went on better wet

Even the cheap ones go on better wet. Some of the nice ones actually come with fluid. Im sorry the reason i was confused is because i thought that was common knowledge

I've always put on my screen protectors, invisible shield/ghost armor/bestskinsever with a little water mixed with a touch of dish soap. if you don't get the placement perfect, it makes it easy to reapply.
I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about.
Does the water and soap dry pretty fast?

Don't lather it up lol it'll look blurry for a little bit. Also don't put it in stress... Like a tight pocket or anything immediately afterwards. I've always just done it at night. Throw it on the charger and when you wake up its good to go!

Yes, but Zagg has the "Orange Peel" effect which looks kinda bad on the phone when looking from an angle
Not sure if I am the only person but I like the dry screen protectors more. I am not sure what brand I have. All I know is it is a lot clearer than any wet one I have ever used. And it isn't tacky either. I have had it 2 months and I still have no noticeable scratches. I will find out the brand and post it.

Why do people use screen protectors? These screens don't get scratches. Not unless you walk around with diamonds in your pocket.

i don't carry diamonds around, but under sunlight i definitely see some small scratches...

Same here found them on Ebay. 8 pieces for 3.00$. I'm still on my first one. I will also try and post some info.
If I were to utilize the wet application then I'd use distilled water alone. Tap and even bottled water contains too many minerals with the possibility of leaving behind hard water spots.

Wet applications are easier to apply but done right, both wet & dry turn out equally as good.
And quit using my pick up line (note sentence in bold)
Is anyone using a case or screen protector for their phone? I'm thinking of getting one since I'd be really upset if I scratched the nice screen!
Can anyone recommend one to get? And do they affect the sensitivity of the touch screen at all?
I have my SGW from the December. I haven't use any screen protector and the glass is still like new despite the fact that I use my SGW all the time. I am very satisfied with quality of glass.
Ive been using the screen protector from iZound. Easy to apply, good fit, not as expensive as Copter, and no..it doesnt affect the sensitivity at all.
Been using capdase soft jacket and screen protector since i bought mine last December, touch sensitivity is great even with screen protector.
You can easily get from ebay, cheap and good. But will take some time to arrive.

I have used x3 over the time that I've had my SGW and no air bubbles in any of them when fitted.
Just take your time, clean the screen of your phone thoroughly with the supplied cloths and work in a clean area to avoid any dust getting under (I use the Kitchen worktop after giving it a good wipe down with a damp cloth).
I found them nice to work with, and much, much easier to fit than some of the more expensive ones that I tried when I first got my SGW.
i need an advice too
thanks very much
I don't really know how, but on my screen I have a bunch of scratches all in one area and one of them is deep enough to feel my fingernail with. Obviously that deep scratch can't be fixed, but is there any polish or something that can help remove these scratches? They're very annoying to glance at when at a certain angle, and although a glass replacement would be nice, I don't think that's covered by warranty (I'm non-rooted, so haven't voided it), and a glass replacement could potentially cause problems with the display not being placed right or not being as responsive.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Dont buy any scratch removers, all BS. And dont worry about them
Seriously though, buy a nice sgp glas protector, or sgp normal screen protector. Or live with the chance it could get scratched again before you decide to sell it and get an iphone
Hey look, you sorta answered your own question, no?

Do you have any screen protectors to recommend? I want one that doesn't change the feel of the glass but idk really if that's possible. I'm kinda interested in the skins but they always have little cutouts for the menu and back button and I never have them lit up so it looks stupid.

There is this protector made from glass by thr company spigen sgp glas for the gs3 (I dont have this), and I have used many other protectors, but to me spigen has the best, spigen spg crystal clear. I love it (as much as I can without it being the real screen). Itd a dry apply, and I have never gotten a bubble, my second one now, they give you 3 in a pack and hold up pretty well. Id link, but im at my friends body shop, about to get my car looked at.

Yeah dont use polishes. I had some scratches and it actually made my screen look worse. Not that it made scratches worse but where i rubbed it looks different than the rest of the screen lol dumb mistake i shoulda just left it alone.

I was looking at Spigen earlier, were you talking about the glass screen protector or the regular one?

I use XO Skins. I still need to do a review on my SGS 3, just trying to find a case I like to go with it. The one I did on my nexus has a video that shows them filling the scratches in.
You could also try using a lens restore kit from a autoparts store to buff them down, but that may screw up the coating, never tried it.

Another really good screen protector is the zaggs invisible shield, althought it feels kinda rubbery its well worth it, i got the extreme version protects it from high impact, but u can also get one for much cheaper and almost about the same quality thats has a smooth finish, is the clearplex, they have it for 14 dollars at clearplex.com havent bought but im gonnna soon. This company is well known for creating protection for glass from being damaged.
Any body get these from this guy? Just want to know if they are pretty good or not. It says sold 8,000 +.

Lol well I want them to be in the US cause I stay in the US.
In my experience all screen protectors are pretty much the same. I got one free with my £0.99 case I got off ebay and it's perfect. As long as you apply it properly ensuring there's no bubbles or anything it should be fine. You have 3 in case you mess up the first 2 applications and for $1.65 you can't go wrong!

False. Some are just horrible. Some are cut horribly. Some just lift. Only a couple are half decent.
I've used several ZAGG protectors before - they are a little pricey, but have a lifetime warranty (if it peels off, they'll replace it) and work really well. I got mine replaced for free when a corner peeled off after 1 year of use.

I got a techarmor anti-fingerprint/anti-glare screen protector. 3 for about $12. they work decently but do distort the screen image a bit due to the material its made out of
I use xtreme guard protectors and I love them. They're wet mount, so you use slightly soapy water, but I find that it's a lot easier to remove bubbles when applying a wet mount protector. I never have issue with them peeling. I had to trim some of the edges to get it to fit my TPU case, and even then, it doesn't peel.
I picked 'em up online for $1 ea. Highly recommended

I have gone through 3 of them and they all seem to be a little off from fully covering the screen has anyone found one that cover 100% of the screen ?
Screen protectors need a little gap from the edges, or they'll peel off.
Any reputable brand should be good. Ghost Armor, Zagg... Etc

I'll never use a plastic screen protector again. Tempered glass is the only way to go. It's easier to put on and protects way better. Not to mention how wonderful it feels to the touch!

Before purchasing it, you should ask the seller and you can see the reviews first. Mostly, the customers will tell you whether the screen protector fits their phone. You can have another try, hope you can find the fittest one.

What i recommend is that you search for screen protector specyfically for you model... I suggest you buy Niklin Crystal Screen Protecotr - a bit more expensive but fits the screen perfectly and looks great..
Also, a handy tip. While changing the screen protector I recommend you do it in the bathroom after you have taken bath/shower- The steam does not let any dust sit on your screen and makes life much easier !
