Epic 4G touch - text/talk/1Gb of web 55$ ,PAGEPLUS - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey guys, I've had a motorolla droid X on pageplus with the 40$ plan.
It has talk/text/ and 20mb of web. But they just released a 55$ plan with talk text and 1gb of data. Pageplus is the verizon network.
I gave them my E4GT Hex code and they said the phone was eligible. ( its great that they take sprint phones )
For those of you who don't want to flash the samsung incognito esn, just to get on boost mobile this is a great substitute. Especially if, you prefer verizon towers and dont mind a cap on your data... I dont use that much (yet).
check it out >>
https://www.pagepluscellular.com/Online Store/Minutes/55 Plan Card.aspx

that's good news! I'm thinking about in buying a new samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g White model for sprint that I'm gonna flash to page plus, Do you think it will work on page plus? because the white is a new model so I'm not sure if it will work, and if it work do i have to flash it or all i need to do is give the esn or hex to pageplus and they will activate it? Please answerrrr me Thanksssssss.....

1GB is a joke, I'm at 3GB with 20 days left on billing cycle. How do people manage to have a E4GT without unlimited is crazy.

That's okay... I see you saying you used 3GB in 10 days, and think you are crazy.
I am on wifi at home, so no data use there. And at work, I'm on wifi, so no data use there. Even if I didn't have wifi, I don't see how I would use that much data at work, since there is a radio or PC for streaming music.
What do you do to use that much data?

I don't work behind a desk , so i have to use my phone as a pc.
Here's a pic of my usage.

I've seen post on this website where people are using 16gb+, so i thought my usage was moderate.

I flashed using the Same instructions used for the HTC HERO
EVO to PagePlus
By KrInEn
Software needed
• CDMA workshop 3.5.5 or 2.7 (3.5.5 prefered)
• QPST 2.7 build 323
• HTC Sync
• Diag Drivers (may be included in HTC SYNC)
Marketplace Apps needed
• APN Backup & Restore
• Droid Wall (recommended for data restrictions, must have ROOT)
THIS TUTURAL IS ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE ALREADY BASIC FLASHED!
If you are NOT basic flashed, PM me and we can work something out with remotely flashing your phone and activating it on Page plus.
Ok, so first things first, install QPST, Workshop, and all drivers. Now you will need your SPC/MSL code. So;
STEP 1: SPC/MSL Code
Plug in your phone to your PC, when prompted choose “Just Charge”. Open the Dialer and dial ##3424#, this should bring up a black screen with a modem phone etc. You are now in DIAG mode, if your PC prompts please install the diag drivers at this point. Screen should look like this:
Ok, we are in diag mode, now go into your device manager and take note what COM port your phone is on.
Now open up CDMA workshop. For those of you using 3.5.5 this should be cake.
3.5.5 Users ONLY:
Connect to your phone and read it. I will not post any pictures because if you have 3.5.5 paid I am sure you know how to do this. Click on security and then in the SPC section click the drop down box to “HTC Method” and click read. Once it reads your 6 digit MSL click send, should say ‘Phone unlocked”. Click SPC and then “write 000000”, Tada you are done.
2.7 Users:
Ok same as above connect to your phone and read it. Click on Security then under SPC where it says “Default Method” change it to “Universal RAM Method”. Then click read, you should get a box like this;
Set it just as shown above, and then click Ok. Sit back this will take a while. You will then get a list of 30 – 40 possible SPC codes. Start pumping the 6 digit codes in here one by one until you get “phone unlocked”
When you see “phone unlocked” change the 6 digits to all 0’s and click SPC then Write. Congratulations SPC section DONE!
STEP 2: Programming
With your phone still connected and in DIAG mode. Go to Start > Programs > QPST > QPST Configuration. Should look something like this (minus all of the ports)
Click on “Add New Port”
Uncheck “Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic ports only” you should now see the port your phone is on, double click it. Your phone should now show up on that first screen. Now click on “start clients” then “service programming”. You should be greeted by this;
Click OK and here we go.
Click “Read from Phone”
Click OK, once it is done reading using the arrows at the top right, scroll right until you see M.IP and PPP Config.
Click on M.IP first
Change Mobile IP Behavior to “Simple IP only” and click on Profile 2.
Make it look just like ^ but have your 10digit MDN in front of the “@” signs. HA Shared Secret and AAA Secret both click on Enter text string and type in “vzw” (without the quotes). Then click OK.
Click on PPP Config
Click on Um and change “user name” to “[email protected]” Change Tethered NAI to “[email protected]” Change password to “vzw”. Click on AN set user name to “[email protected]” and password to “vzw”.
You are done, click write to phone.
Step 3: MMS
This is done on the phone. This will be short and sweet, if you made it this far this will be cake.
-Download APN backup&restore from the marketplace.
- Open APN Backup
- Click BACKUP APN'S!
- Download this file http://www.megaupload.com/?d=46FKCYV0 <<<< LINK IS DEAD
- Mount phone as disk drive
- Copy file to apnbackup folder
- Unmount phone
- Turn on airplane mode
- Open APN backup
- Delete APN's
- Restore APN's (select EVO pageplus file)
- Turn off airplane mode
- Reboot
There you have it, full flashed. If 3G is spotty try flashing a NON EVDO PRL to the phone.

( There is also a write up here with PRL files and a word DOC with screen shots for more information. )

Now if only I could get 4G then I'm really winning. But I may instead just switch to boost for that

Also the epic alwayse shows as roming for some strange reasons. Any help on that would be appreciated.

I have heard about it. Is it difficult to switch your carrier? I currently use Boost Mobile and had someone flash it for me. I would prefer to do the flash myself just to save money.

People say "flash" to avoid the "change ESN" term that seems to perk up trolls like live flesh attracts walkers. If you've got a normal Samsung Epic, I'd encourage you to check out this nearly comprehensive guide (things can be a little dicey in the "data" step, and you'll have to force 1xRTT on the phone end until somebody can figure out how to get EvDo working - also, I'd use a more up to date PRL if you can find one):

I've heard you can get 3G if you can pull the DMU
keys from a working verizon phone. I have a Droid D X sitting around
if anyone can confirm this please reply.
Right now I'm running 1X and I hate it. I may flash to boost if I can overcome the hassle. might be worth it to me.

Trust me - It's NOT. Boost Mobile sucks big time and PagePlus is a miracle in comparison, even with their 1xRTT data. I actually ended up switching back to Sprint's legendary $30 a month unlimited data plan and have never looked back to Boost's sickly plans or PagePlus's mediocre amounts of included data (and lack of roaming on Sprint). Whatever you do, do NOT go to Boost.

But you had to pay an outrageous $50 a month for a while to get that. If you're gonna pay a Sprint MVNO for unlimited data without roaming, at least try Virgin Mobile since their unlimited is $35 (still no roaming though) right off the bat.

The MVNO I use - KDDI Mobile - has a similar plan for single phone users:
500 "Anytime" minutes
Free nights & weekends
Unlimited text & web
$69.99 /mo
The added benefit is for those who call Japan - free landline calls in the "Anytime" minutes.
Phone is stock Sprint and behaves just like a Sprint phone, which is why I jumped on the E4GT. Our family plan + unlimited web for my phone is still only about $140 for 1000 minutes.... and it's unlikely that we'll exceed that again anytime soon.

That's even worse. I actually do the Sprint SERO thing and get everything you're talking about for $30 - plus free roaming. Outside of Sprint SERO, only Virgin Mobile or TMobile has a good affordable data plan (unfortunately, they operate only on inferior GSM devices and have worse coverage than Sprint).

Well I need help. Ive had this problem for WEEKS now. I need MMS. dunno if its the settings or the cab or wat. anyone with the combo help.
Just so you know, this does not belong in the ROM development thread so don't be upset if a moderator moves it.
Have you tried changing your MMS settings? Does data work on the phone? If you are using the stock SMS program, you should have no problems getting MMS to work just fine. First you will need to set up your Data connection:
1 - Tap Start > Settings > Connections > Connections
2 - Tap the Advanced tab > Select Networks.
3 - Under "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet...", click New...
4 - Under the General tab, type "T-Mobile Data"
5 - Under the Modem tab, tap New... and type "Data" for the name of the connection and select "Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)" from the drop down box. Then tap Next.
6 - Enter "epc.tmobile.com" for the Access Point Name (APN) and tap Next.
7 - Leave the username and password fields blank. Tap Finish.
8 - Under the Proxy Settings, check to select "This network connects to the Internet" and also check "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet"
9 - For the proxy server, type 216.155.165.50 and then tap Advanced.
10 - Tap HTTP and change the port to 8080. Tap OK.
11 - Tap WAP and type 216.155.165.50 and enter 8080 for the port. Tap OK.
12 - Tap OK until you return to the Today screen.
Click to collapse
Once you do this, you will need to set up your MMS:
1 - Tap Start > Settings > Connections > Connections
2 - Tap the Advanced Tab > Select Networks
3 - Under "Programs that automatically connect to a private network...", select "T-Mobile Data", which is the SAME connection you are using for your data.
4 - Tap OK until you return to the today screen.
5 - Go to your messaging and tap Menu > MMS Configuration.
6 - Tap the Servers tab > New.
7 - Enter MMS in the server name field.
8 - Enter 216.155.165.50 in the gateway field and 8080 in the port field.
9 - Enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms in the Server address field.
10 - Select "T-Mobile Data" from the drop down list and select WAP 2.0. Tap OK to save your settings.
11 - Scroll to MMS and tap Set As Default. Tap OK to save your settings.

After a soft reset, this should get your MMS working. Send an MMS to yourself to test if everything is working.
First I would like to ask you what phone do u have and for what company is that phone phone. I can tell from your Tmobile sign that you have tmobile. Also what rom do u have. Im using Mighty rom right now. Also I have Arcsoft For Tmobile cab(lastest one) installed on the phone. Do I need it or no.
Forget it. It worked!!!!!!!! OMG THANKKKKK U. YOUR THE BESSSSSSSSSSSSSSST. U know how long im looking for my MMS to work. I tried tons of things. THANK GOODNESS. someone finally helped me fix this. good work freakingwilly
I'm surprised noone noticed he said a Sprint TP2 (CDMA) on T-Mobile service (GSM). This is simply a prank thread, a CDMA phone will not work at all with a GSM carrier.

2 radios.
Well, that's a first for me. So the Sprint TP2 still has all the GSM equipment inside AND a sim card slot? Kinda nifty. Apologies to the OP then.
I also came across that bit about the Sprint TP2 having GSM/UMTS and CDMA/EVDO radios. That interests be a great deal, because I'm pretty sure that ATT runs on 850MHz for GSM and 1900MHz for HSDPA. I also believe I noticed those frequencies were supported by the Sprint TP2's (Gobi?) radios, but require 2 separate Oli unlockers to use on a stateside GSM carrier, and hopefully be able to utilize Verision's 3G network in places where ATT's does not exist. Verizon has EVDO Rev A in the vast majority of backcountry places where I like to kick it sometimes in the contiguous 48. When I first read about "Gobi" a year or two ago, I thought that it was pretty frickin' nifty.
So far through my asking, somebody said it wouldn't work on gsm/edge or umts/..., and another said that only 2G would work. I like having my about-to-be HSPA+ in a 30 mile circle around my house and other sufficiently populated areas, and I got Cingular back in 2003 so they're pretty chill about when I pay my bill and sometimes I manage bill-eliminating account credits when they screw up my account/orders and crap. It's crept up from $60 a month when I first got my wizard with unlimited data/sms/mms to $103 and change. The idea of being able to have my original Cingular SIM card in a CDMA phone and get all of my HSPA 7.2 goodness when it's around/better battery life when not using data and operating on GSM, and use EVDO Rev A when I need something faster than EDGE for tethering. Best I've gotten on EDGE is 15 kB/s.
If the CDMA TP2's can be that kind of awesome thing described above, I might work more to maintain a simultaneous account with Verizon postpaid when I go on road trips with some no contract goodness, and temporarily disconnect my no contract ATT postpaid when I do. That would be seriously awesome. If it can't be done on a flavor of the Rhodium, does anybody think that the next version of the real sliding qwerty with a tilting screen HTC device will be able to operate on all of ATT's frequencies, as well as Verizon's? I saw something about the Mondrian, but it doesn't have a keyboard and is therefore disqualified.
Also, not really excited about WM7 or Android because I don't see any Android sat nav apps that use an enormous map image on one's microSD card instead of being reliant on a data connection for maps, and WM7 is supa'shaky for local maps sat nav since it's not even out yet, and both TomTom and Garmin no longer manufacture their WinMo products, which is retarded since the garmin boxes run on CE and it's $100 of almost pure profit, even with an enormous piracy rate. If Android gets a ballistics calculator, herb strain guide, and local map sat nav with preferably NAVTEQ maps I might just jump ship if I can keep it from communicating with Google. I don't want Google knowing knowing any more about me than they already do. I've had Gmail for a long time, and the ads aren't quite creepy but they're ubertargeted.
9 - For the proxy server, type 216.165.155.50 and then tap Advanced.
10 - Tap HTTP and change the port to 8080. Tap OK.
11 - Tap WAP and type 216.165.155.50 and enter 8080 for the port. Tap OK.
8 - Enter 216.155.165.50 in the gateway field and 8080 in the port field.
9 - Enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms in the Server address field.

I know you tried to contribute to the answer, but you lack the necessary details that would be required. My original post may have been long, but the first thing that the OP said was that they got it working and left thanks. Continuing to reply to the thread (especially with these kinds of comments) are unnecessary and only bump up old threads.

When you select "Update Profile", your device connects to sprints data network and makes a request to the OMADM (open mobile alliance device manager), which in turn pushes a provXML file to your phone with your MDN, MSID, username, primary and secondary HA ip addresses, HA password and AAA password. There are probably a handful of other values involving wimax and such but I don't know what they are.
This information is what your phone uses to authenticate itself on sprints network for voice and data. If any of these values were to be incorrect then you could have issues make/receiving calls and/or connecting to data.
"Update PRL" makes the same type of request to the OMADM, in this case though it sends your Preferred Roaming List. This is basically a list of tower Ids and capabilities. Carriers will often release new PRLs as towers get built/updated and roaming contracts with other carriers change. It saves them lots of money to be sure you are roaming on the cheapest tower since they have to pay the respective company for your airtime.
This was probably not the answer you were looking for but... I was board and thought I would share since I didn't like what Google spat out.

Good info. The granularity of the PRL is at the SID level though, not the tower level.

Hi littisimo, I know this is an old thread but I am taking a long shot as yours was the only explanation that made sense in my situation, really disappointed as I spent numerous hours trying to have sprint fix my issue.
In short, I am trying to get my phone unlocked from sprint to move to GSM, paid all the bills on time, and the ETF's too. they are saying that they unlocked the phone in their system and it's done. I am saying how do that relay that programming information to my phone. Since I am not on sprint network anymore. Anyone has any idea how this is done? I was assured by them that they can unlock the phone even if it is not on their network. Anyone?

How To VVM on AT&T (confirmed Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash)

Many of you are aware of a thread in the Focus S section of this forum about someone with their Focus S getting VVM to work. However, it wasn't the most helpful thread to replicating it. I have since replicated this on a different device (the Focus Flash), so I wanted to post something here to let more people know.
Thanks to davezaff for the idea.
Here is how I did it on my Focus Flash. You will probably need a way to edit the APNs.
1. Update to 7740
2. Update to 8107
3. Insert sim card into an AT&T Android LTE phone (I used skyrocket)
4. Go to att.com and switch plan to Data Pro 4g LTE plan. I had to call to switch since it wasn't working on the website.
5. Setup VVM on Android LTE phone (don't know if this is necessary, but this is what I did....make sure friend knows the VM password so they can re-add it when they put their sim card back in.
6.Insert sim card back into Windows Phone
7. Call Voicemail
8. Wait for VVM to show up on phone (mine showed up after calling voicemail).
9. If sync error, edit the APN as follows
APN settings (delete the internet_line APN)
Create a new APN
APN Name: pta
Profile Category: internet (always on)
APN: pta
Auth type: None
Username:
Password:
Proxy address: proxy.mobile.att.net
Proxy domain:
Proxy port: 80
I now have working VVM on AT&T with my Samsung Focus Flash. My internet tethering still works (applied the Interop unlock + tethering hack from XDA). I have not tested MMS since I did this, but the MMS APN was untouched.
So they have tied vvm with their stupid data plans, how nice. So I can pay $20 for 300mb + vvm or I can pay $10 for unlimited data and traditional vm... ATT is so dumb.
Moved To WP7 General
This is not development, its more of a guide. Please post such threads in the WP7 General section
For the normal person, it is pay $30 for 3GB of data with traditional VM or pay $30 for 3GB with VVM. The only difference is one plan has the word LTE at the end.
how can one even get the 8107 update on the samsung focus s? i tried the old force update method (disconnecting the internet connection) with zune, and that hasn't worked...

Yes, and just download the English only language pack.
i already updated to 8107, but im asking if the vvm works for the titan, i also don't know anyone with an LTE android phone
Does this work if you don't setup VVM on the android device first? I was thinking of just calling AT&T and asking to be switched to the 4G plan.
Get it working without an LTE device
OK, I got this to work on my Lumia 800. Furthermore, I didn't have an LTE device.
What I did have however, is an AT&T store that caters extensively to my place of work (a software company). They are really nice, understand unusual requests, and try everything to help.
I did the following:
1. Upgrade the OS as per the original post.
2. Call the nice AT&T store that I mentioned above. Asked them to put me on an LTE plan. (I was already on an enterprise plan, so I was moved to the same enterprise plan but the LTE version. Cost of my plan remained unchanged).
I explained that I was doing some app development, and planned to be swapping phones from time to time, some of which are LTE phones. (I also have a microsim adapter, so moving between phones that take microsim and regular sim is not an issue for me).
They asked if I'd like VVM provisioning. I said yes.
They told me that they would change my listed phone to a blank IMEI (basically change the IMEI listed on my account to a blank IMEI that's associated with an LTE phone for provisioning purposes). I don't know if this is something all stores would be willing to do.
3. In the APN settings, I changed my APN to pta. I did NONE of the other settings mentioned (proxy, proxy port, and everything else are BLANK).
Now I have Visual Voicemail on my Lumia 800!
Hmm so why is vvm only available to LTE phones/network I want to get this.

...because AT&T wants to sell LTE devices.

I wonder if this blank IMEI is a special IMEI that at&t has to test LTE devices on accounts or something. I wonder if this IMEI would also work on other accounts as well. Hmmm.
I don't suppose that IMEI is something you could share possibly? I mean if its not a real phone, and can work on multiple accounts, it would be very nice to (selectively) share it so that some of us can get VVM.

I agree, since I just called asking for essentially this setup and they deniened any special IMEI.

So i also have an 800 and asked them to provision me for HSPA+ recently, so they switched my data plan to one that was supposed to be able to access it (i have no idea if it really can - that's a whole different can of worms). What did they switch your plan to? If you look online and hit "recent usage", you can see under "Additional Data Purchased Usage" your data lines with the plan code. My code is "HSSMTD4O" Just wanted to see if i could skip the "call att" step.
Thought I would share my experience also..
I was able to get VVM working on my Focus Flash. Luckily I have a friend that works at the ATT store. He just took a Samsung Note scanned the IMEI and added that as my phone. Then he enabled LTE and VVM. I rebooted phone and went in the the phone tile, and VVM prompted me for password. I put in password and all has been good.
The easiest way would probably be to borrow a friends VVM supported phone and put your sim in it, then have them add VVM to your account.
I did not have to add any APN's or make any changes to the phone.
Getting it working without a LTE device and without AT&T in your pocket
So, I decided to try and get VVM setup on my Focus S today, but I have no friends with AT&T and the local store was unwilling to help in the fashion outlined above.
So what to do? Well the main thing you need for this is the IMEI number from an Android LTE phone. So I asked a couple friends that don't live close by, and none of them had a LTE phone.
So I searched the internet for those "Get unlock Codes" websites, specifically for tutorials on LTE phones, and some of them show the IMEI number.
So I went into chat support and told them I needed a LTE plan with visual voicemail, and they asked for the IMEI number, I gave it to them, and then 2 minutes later VVM is now provisioned and working properly.
Yeah so I ended up adding the IMEI of a random Galaxy Note that I do not own. It was dead simple to do it online through tech support chat. After that, just called up voicemail, waiting a second or two, hung up, and then my phone prompted me for my voicemail password and automatically enabled visual voicemail. I realize that AT&T's system does not check for duplicate IMEIs across the network, so you can throw the same IMEI onto any number of phones and AT&T wouldn't know a thing (until they start looking of course).
I did have to change my APN to "pta" to get it to sync properly, but after that it was all smooth sailing.
Now I've got Visual Voicemail on my Titan and Lumia.
I am glad some of you were able to get it to work. The big issue I had before starting this thread was getting the APN settings. After getting VVM enabled, it couldnt connect until I messed with the APN. Glad I was able to help y'all!

Sprint Hotspot Hack w/ Android 10

I lost my hotspot hack when I updated my Sprint S10 to Android 10 like everyone else but I just found a fix! It works on my S10 so I’m guessing it’ll work the same for S10+ users.
##3282# then APN Settings
(The left clicking to unlock editing doesn’t work anymore like you all said)
Go into APN2 and take pictures with another device of all the settings
Go back and click ADD next to Access Point Names
Fill in the data identical to the original APN2 data except APN TYPE add dun between mms and xcap
Upper right hand menu and SAVE
You will now have two APN2. Select the one that has DUN in the APN type and hit the left arrow next to Access Point Names to set it.
Crazy enough it worked!
It works but for some reason it's not near as fast as the s10 plus running Android 9 and hacking that the old way.... I play gta online I can't load other players with my hotspot but my wife's phone (still on Android 9) will let me load other players anyone know a work around for this

Use a vpn. It seems its being detected as media and such thats throttled. Of course in order for the vpn to work on the connected device it has to be run from the connected device.

If your phone is unlocked 000000
If it is not, ie leased phone, you'll have to see if sprint will give it up.
I lost hotspot on s9 plus going to android 10. Worked flawlessly through oreo and pie. Not impressed by Android 10 either. Hopefully I'll be able to downgrade without too much hassle.
Downgraded s9 plus last night to restore hotspot workaround. Crappy part is that I'm in an area that doesn't offer a comparable internet.

I know its been awhile, but ive figured out that in order to use anything xbox related regardless of vpn you need to use the Public IP addon from sprint. I believe its only $2.99 extra/month. Thats what i had to do in order to use xbox live via my hotspot.

Creating the new APN after getting the android 10 upgrade and it worked for me, but it appears Sprint has UDP blocked. I noticed this affecting me on Discord voice chat and loading roblox games.
Following Discord's advice, I went here https://test.webrtc.org/ and it showed no UDP.
UDP is a bit beyond my understanding. No idea how to get past this issue.

haha yea.. things like this is why they set limits/restrictions on hotspot to begin with..
sprints network (and most mobile networks) arent made to handld continuous live gaming..
back when i used to work for uscellular it was even in their policies as being against the rules.. that as well as things like continuous p2p streaming, torrents n other stuff..
i wouldnt b surprised if in the future carriers remove the ability to edit apns altogether since this is how ppl have been bypassing restrictions for years.
Ok after a little poking around, it seems the Mobile virtual network operator info is a double-edged sword here. By default on Sprint, it is set to None. By setting it to GID, you are unmonitored, but UDP does not work. Once I remade it without MVNO set, I connected to Discord voicechat just fine. Then some updates ate all my data.
I'm not sure if removing xcap from the APN Type list had any affect, but I both added it back in and removed MVNO before I ate all my hotspot.
I rebuilt it again without xcap or an MVNO, but the damage had already been done and I'm throttled. I'll be back with an update at the start of my next billing cycle (or sooner if things start working in my favor!)
Edit: Also, any changes seemed to kill my MMS. Swapping back to default immediately downloaded the message. hmm...
Edit2: oops! So it's important to note that there should be no spaces in your APN Type field. It's not a valid character, so nothing after default was loaded. Nice. And MMS is back as well. Still throttled internet, but at least one thing is resolved...

try it and report back.. theres literally no harm in trying
Here's my update. Once I rebooted everything, I was able to get highspeed hotspot back. It has been working ever since, just not UDP things still like Discord voice chat or Roblox.
Further update, Sprint has increased all hotspot allotments to 20GB for 2 billing cycles. We'll see if this gets pushed out. If you don't use any more than that, then don't worry about this process for now (always good to know things though).
My method:
- Manually copy over all settings (write it down so you have it because a profile update will wipe new APNs)
- add ,dun to the end of the APN Type line.
- copied the APN Name exactly, but added a 2 to the end (I don't think this matters, but just in case!)
Weird note though. I downloaded a game off of Steam on friday. While downloading, I would periodically check the My Sprint app to see if my hotspot usage moved. It did, but in an unsuspected way. After downloading the first GB, my hotspot usage would say "Used 0.0001 / 20 GB" and would tick up similarly for each GB downloaded. I paused it to make sure I didn't get any "used 75%" texts or emails, but they never came. So after 18GB, it said "Used 0.0018 / 20 GB", or 1.8 MB...how strange...

Sorry if that was misleading. Your original APN from Sprint should have said "default, mms, xcap, supl" so you will still have to add all that and add dun to the end.

Sprint Note 10+ Can't add APN or edit

hello everyone I am new to the forum so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a note 10 plus with sprint. I am trying to add a new APN so I can use unlimited free hotspot. All the apn's are greyed out and I can't reset to default or add a new apn. What can I do to fix this or is there any way to fix it??? I recently upgraded from a note 9 and I could click to the left of the blue circle and it would allow me to edit the settings but it doesn't work anymore on this phone and I'm assuming when it went from Android 9 to Android 10 is when it stopped working all together. Has anyone figured out how to do something with it that doesn't require the phone being rooted??

Unless things have changed (as far as I know they haven't) if you have one of the unlimited data plans (which is pretty much all they have) then you already have unlimited hotspot data.
The unlimited data plans they have offer a set amount hotspot data measured in gigs at full LTE speeds. After that your hotspot speeds are reduced until your next billing cycle. Because it is unlimited there is no need to use some form of "trick" to get something that is already included with the plan they offer.
If for some reason the hotspot isn't working and it is supposed to be included in your plan then contact sprint and make sure your account (and phone) are provisioned for the service.
Now if by chance your trying to sneak one past sprint and get unlimited high speed hotspot data that was not included in the plan you agreed too... Then I would recommend you reconsider. While it can be argued that this can be considered theft, it would be most definitely an intentional, blatant and willful breach of your agreement that you entered into with Sprint.
