No, you should just use it more . Of course you will get great life if you don't use it for hours.. lol

Did you notice the 5+ display time? That means his phone screen was on for over 5 hours, check your screen time and it'll likely be less. Overall he actually had his phone on quite a bit really.

Why does it say your battery is at 45%? Are you using an extended battery?

Huh. Good pickup. The battery icon says 45%, but the battery graph indicates < 10% battery. Things don't add up... which usually means BS, but we'll see what his explanation is.
pcmanager's screen shots seem like the real deal though.

i forgot about gingerbread o_o

i've been so caught up with aokp, codename, gummy, and cm9 that completely forgot about gingerbread in my search for a stable rom with good battery life where everything works and is almost as quick as ICS. on calk's v3.0, better battery life than any ics aosp rom will give, and there are absolutely no issues with sdcard or market or gps or cameras. albeit, it's definitely not as pretty, and i miss the hell out of my apex launcher (there are no comparable gb launchers), and the rom's almost triple in size o_o. if you're someone who values a fully functioning phone with awesome battery life, dont forget about your roots!

Agreed on all counts, except this: the ICS versions of gapps. I can never go back.

It doesn't looked anymore shopped than any real screen shot lol. I mean what do you see? A badly compressed jpeg with no or wiped exif..
Set your screen to the longest possible timeout or to never turn off and then display something black since its AMOLED. Can get some epic screen on times while doing nothing. Extended batteries help as well. I could easily double the screen on time i get to 4-5 hours doing so. Not sure about 7 ive never tried.

Need more info, my guess is a background app. Looks like you are stock 100%? That's your problem, lol... Just messing. What is your screen time? Click on display to see that... You're in a 4g area so signal shouldn't be the culprit. Your media is #1 user, but why, were you using it?
More like an hour and a half close to 2..if you used it for like 20 to 25 minutes I would think it's common. Like dude said above me we need screen time, also data technically eats battery away faster than wifi just a thought. Brightness is important too maybe you can try power saving mode, don't expect much difference though. Darker wallpaper helps, but most importantly are you auto syncing and if so which apps it usually starts there. Every little bit helps, most powerful phones have average battery life. Unless you start undervolting voltages and cpu that's where you see the big difference.

Has to be a rogue app. Try wiping the phone and reinstall everything with increments to get to the root of your problem.

100% awake time, horrible battery life.

Okay guys, I hope this phone gets better battery life than 8 hours, and I'm not hard on a phone at all. Any ideas on this? My wake locks are horrible for some reason and I'm running the synergy r71.

Install BetterBatteryStats. Great tool for identifying what's killing your battery. You may post some screenshots if need be.

Deep sleep battery will help alot as well your at 49% so if you think of it by the time you are drained to 10 youll probably have about 18+hrs of battery

Yeah alot of people freak out when tbe phone gets to about 50% they don't realize that thats half the day usually. ... and it also depends on how long your last flash was it takes a few days forvthe kernel to settle.

Qcell battery question

So my phone stopped charging my battery. I bought the extended qcell 4800 mah and a wall charger. My question is I'm wondering with all this extra power, could I maybe use the voltage differently? Currently I'm on the domination rom and I noticed it has voltage control. Is there something neat I can do with this battery besides not charge my phone for 3 days? Lol

Voltage control is the voltage to the processor, you can play around with undervolting and underclocking to try and get it where you don't have to charge your phone for four days instead of three.

Here's some helpful information from @Mr. Struck over at AF about the Zero Lemon. Read through the thread, sounds like ZL is a good option as well. I can not speak intelligently on either

What is this little "eye" icon for?

Can anyone tell me what this little icon means? It doesn't have a corresponding item in the notification area.
Is it related to that feature that keeps the screen on when you're looking at it, maybe? Screen shot attached..
Thanks,

That's the smart eye feature built in with the phone on stock or the ROM you are using.. Basically if you're looking at your phone, it will stay on as long as you are looking at it and thus you will see the "eye".
If you want a further explanation let me know. That's pretty much the simplest easiest way to explain it.

One more question.. Any idea what impact the Smart Eye feature has on battery life? My battery life sucks since the 4.3 update so looking for any way to make it better. Do you think turning this feature off would help?

Turning it off could help a little bit. I found that ever since I have gone up to a 4.3+ ROM, my battery life has been atrocious.
