Im not sure if IM the only one having this problem but when i go into settings>display the "brightness" and "screen timeout" are both grayed out and i cannot adjust either of them.

Not happening to me, and I'm on Domination
It's because you don't have a sim card in your phone.

For the sake of Cam R I sure hope it is so, but for the sake of LG, I hope it's not the case, otherwise I'll be convinced their developers must have been dropped on their head at birth.
I had the same problem until I put a sim card into my phone, so it's not really an LG problem.
Sent from my LG-P930 using Tapatalk
Do you mean different phone? Atrix 4G and HTC Inspire doesn't suffer this nonsense.
Just tested with no sim card - no problem here.
Using stock rom Nitro HD (Att)
How does a SIM card affect hardware settings? Screen brightness shouldn't have anything to do with the SIM card. I just pulled my SIM card and still had full control of screen brightness.
If you factory wipe your data and set your phone up initially without a sim card, you won't be able to change brightness. I'm not saying it makes sense, but I found others had the same problem as me and when they put in their sim it worked. And it worked for me too.

Wow, that's crazy. Just doesn't make sense.

I also have this problem. Is due to sense loading before the storage. One work around is to go into settings-applications-all then force stop 'HTC sense' then when it reloads labels return.

Hmmm i had this issue before everytime i plugged my phone into the pc .. might have somethign to do with the SD card unmounting and then not remounting properly .. i moved the apps with missing labels from SD card into internal storage and haven't had the problem since ..
Happened to me once.
I was playing around with ES Task Manager and under Power Optimizer there is a setting to turn off 3G/2G (see pic). Does anyone have an explanation for what that is? Could having it enabled negatively impact battery life?

Is it a default toggle for the program? It may not do anything cuz the 5110 isnt cellular data capable.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I'm well aware that 5110 is not cellular capable. You raise a good point though that it may just be a default toggle. Whenever I disable it comes right back on so it probably doesn't do anything. Just thought I would ask to see if anyone had seen mention of it anywhere else.

I have no clue why sdcard is taking so much battery, nor do I know why it has taken up 46 minutes of CPU time and counting. I'm on an AT&T Galaxy Note II running CleanROM 3.5 if that makes a difference. Its an old version of my ROM but very stable and I've had this ROM forever, and I only noticed this sdcard issue today but I know that it wasn't there when I first flashed the ROM, making me doubt that as the problem.
Any clues?

It might be about to die so is constantly ejecting and reading again... Backup just in case, that has been an issue with this phone
Maybe u have certain files on the SD that the system is using.... Maybe what I can suggest is backing up what u need, and formatting your SD card? Just a suggestion.

So it's actually a Korean phone. I'm currently residing in the Philippines.
I bought it from some guy here and all the network services are fine like calling, texting and data.
Problem though is that contacts are shutting on me and my signal bars are showing nothing all the time even if I can make a call. There are other issues with it too. Like on start up still says that I cannot use the card even if I can and the gzone app like the gzworld is not locating my gps and is still based on Korea. And there's this app Tan Tien and it's like the Vietnamese version of go sms and it won't let me update it. Says something about an error.
Anything I could do on it? Already has custom rom but it's like Vietnamese or sumthing and I can't understand it.
I already read threads about this phone but most of it is confusing and I just wanna start fresh on it. Here's the current build on my phone. I'm a newbie in roms and all that.
Please be gentle with the jargons. Thanks.

I'm also from the Philippines. I bought mine from a Korean guy thru sulit. I also had the same problem that you're experiencing until I installed the jelly bean rom. I suggest you follow the steps in this forum tinyurl.com/kan8h6o. Please also read the whole thread as you may experience some issues with jelly bean. Most of the solutions are there.
Thanks man. Maybe you can hit me up on my Gmail at [email protected] If i get sum problem. Thanks.

Check out your IMEI. If it's not there, that might be the problem. Then, take it to the nearest repair shop and they'll fix it really fast.
It's the problem with the rom itself, it's happening with many cm based rom lately. Send the system log to the dev so they can address the problem ASAP.

Have you followed correct steps and flashed modem of E980? If your IMEI number is not shown or 00, you can install stock firmware and you will be fine. Follow the steps carefully before installing custom rom.
its a known bug in cm 12.1
I've had a problem like this when I downgrade my phone from lollipop on kitkat by flash rom zip, simply away, you have to "KDZ" correct version of your phone, everything will return
ps: Im using F240l
