[Unofficial] Virtuous Trintacinque BETA Rom Thread MODS PLEASE DELETE....

alright guys, hope i don't rub anybody the wrong way by making this thread..
but since so many of us have been talking about the new Virtuous Trentacinque sense 3.5 rom that's coming out soon, i thought we should have a thread solely for that topic, and not write about the new sense 3.5 rom in the Virtuous Unity thread.
so, here is the UNOFFICIAL Virtuous Trentacinque thread for everyone to talk about the new rom UNTIL THE ACTUAL ROM GETS RELEASED, AND A NEW THREAD IS MADE FOR THAT
so please, post all of your questions, opinions, thoughts etc. about the new Sense 3.5 rom from the great Virtuous team here.

Virtuous Unity is it's own rom, and i believe that it should have it's own thread, same as the new Sense 3.5 that's coming out soon ^__^

yes it works, but it's a beta, so there are still bugs.
The rom itself is based on the Runnymede RUU 1.02.401.1. After some days with trying to make this build really stable we still need to say this rom is still in a early build state. So be aware that there will be some problems left. Also there aren't any tweaks at the moment in the rom. We first want to make it stable and then begin to add some nice features.

I think the point is that this didn't need to migrate into the development board. Should have stayed in the general section considering this more of a discussion thread and no development going on here...

Free speech means absolutely nothing on a privately owned internet message board. Maybe you should review the xda guidelines and figure out what you are doing wrong. Xda is a huge forum, and I'd bet that mods have much better things to do than pick on random people for no reason at all, especially on a holiday weekend.

Drama free lol and Matty i defended you in one post big mistake. I know the dev section isnt for convo but the ICS WIP thread by viperboy is just updates thats all no rom nothing. I acctually enjoy idle convo.

The locking I can see it...but the deleting posts is what I really have a problem with. Viperboy being the OP has given us plenty of updates on the first page of the thread. Plus follow him on twitter if you want breaking news on the rom.

that thread never should have been in Development anyways...that was, and STILL is a WIP..
Maybe the mods should have a section for WIP, or, only allow recognized devs to post/see it?
Once a product is actually ready for consumption, it should be posted "in public"..
Not sure if this is do able, but it would make things a lot easier for people who actually develop, and, reduce the number of newbies who screw up their phones, because they just flash anything they see here..

Why didn't you contact the devs? It's their business. If they want their stuff taken down contact them and notify them. Making another off-topic thread in Nexus General is just creating more clutter. I understand you can't translate the page, I can't even connect to the site, but next time hesitate before pressing that Post Thread button. For the sake of keeping Galaxy Nexus General on-topic.

I found a site that had my rom on there plus a few other devs from our sprint section on there let alone might be Verizon other phones. But no credit was giving or a link back to original thread. So another off topic thread hmm ne ways, don't post unless u can actually read

I have edited the thread title to make it easier to understand from the forum. I have no problem with this thread as it is relative to devs in this forum.
The Galaxy Nexus ToolKit has been posted a few times on that site with no credit or links to my threads but I have my name and thread links coded into the program so it would be extremely difficult for someone to pass the ToolKit off as their own work lol.
I agree its not good forum policy to not give credit to the dev and we dont allow it on xda but I have a feeling it wont make any difference complaining on the site as it was the Founding Admin that posted my ToolKit.. I dont think he will take any action against others on the site doing the same.
Its a great shame but there are ALOT of site that pass work off as their own or dont give any credit to the person who spent ALOT of time creating it.

Welcome to the internet. Now you can understand how the entertainment business feels about all the piracy. It's a shame but there is little that can be done to sites outside the U.S. Homeland security as taken authority to block some sites from being rebroadcast in the U.S. but not much else can be done.

Yes, this forum is just awesome, and my experiences with moderators is that they are really nice and cooperative. The information here is overwhelming.
I understand the "noob restructions" and that there is no better way to keep this forum clean and manageable.
Just... why do these rules have to be applied to ME? ;-)
For me, it is hard to reach the 10 postings because I am almost exclusively reading in devs forums (I am a dev but not xda). Since I am not able to post there, I have to write dev-related postings elsewhere (where the people who might be interested in the posting usually don't find it). This is not meant as a complaint. Just feedback from a noob.
Anyway, soon I will get there (this is posting number 7)...
One idea for the 10 posting rule: The number could be lower for people after some membership time, for instance, 10 postings for fresh members, 6 postings after 1 month of active membership, 3 postings after 2 months of membership. Just an idea...

Often the best way to find this is to search, but change the sort order to favor newer posts
Though if a device is old enough to have been around over 2 years ago, the manufacturer has probably stopped updating, meaning the method has likely remained relatively still for some time...
Not always, but often must of the big work is done in the early days

I also want to thank XDA to makes my android experience much better with the help from developers! Glad to have joined!

Ok guys. Lets not get out of line here. The answer posted is good enough. We are here to help when help is needed, but we will not spoonfeed people. One of the rules of XDA is to read. I have seen too many people brick their device because they didn't read for themselves and took the advice of someone that didn't know exactly what they were talking about. If a person can't take the time to at least try to find the information for themselves, we will not take the time to give it to them.

Btw search isn't the holy graal of xda. 9/10 I get tons of irrelevant crap. So lighten up buddy.

I for one am still not totally clear on it - as Calkulins ROMs are in the "original" section when they are TouchWiz cooked ROMs...

I'm all for griefing and putting the lazy, the fools and the idiots in place, bring on the hammer.

I'm all for helping people no matter what their knowledge base is as long as it doesnt take more more than a few moments. As for the lmgtfy guy... I'm trying about the xda search function.

Some of you people really need a life. Seems like 90% of people who get on here just log on to prove how much more than they know than other. God forbid they help someone learn because then they wouldn't be the self important lords of cell phone customization they purport themselves to be.

No man. We will help. There are rules for a reason. Search being one of them. If you can't google then expect a brick. If you want to blame the people here for not spoonfeeding you then be my guest. Try looking at other sections here . In my experience this is the nicest group of people in one subforum. They have even googled the answer for you... this is not a site to come pimp your phone. This is a site where developers come to share ideas and help eachother. This is also a site where they will teach you so you can develop your own stuff. They do not get paid for what they do. They are here on their free time. So why would they want to hold your hand in a situation where the answer is easily found on your own? This thread needs to be locked... anyone else hear a knock on the glass? Kenny? Lol

You are still forgetting that we have rules here. We are more than happy to help, but not when willful ignorance is involved. It was already proven by multiple people that this question is answered in the first post of a Google and XDA search. Why waste your time and our time asking a question that is easily answered with a search?

O the irony of some of the replies in this thread. Waste time? You are wasting time arguing if it's logical to help someone or smite them... If the answer was smite, don't bother replying. He came looking for help, not someone who cling's to the "rules" in order to justify not giving the help the OP was looking for. BTW, 90% of the question's asked here, have been answered a 100 times or more. If you can't be bothered to answer it 101 times, then don't bother clicking the thread title. I could see what this thread was about before I clicked to enter it, and so should you. So if you came here to b****, then shame on you.

I didn't come here to *****. Also I help out whenever I can. The answer has already been answered. There were a lot of threads on it. For new people coming here it may not seem like that big of a deal. I have been here since this phone was out. I am not saying I know everything because I dont. There have been so many repeat questions its ridiculous. It takes two minutes to search. If I dont understand something I will google the hell out of it. Remember to use key words in the search like xda epic touch 4g or et4g. And if I still cannot find the info I finally ask a question. I get it. Some people dont like to do anything themselves. They dont appreciate that ahaaa! Moment. Well it will most likely end up the same direction as this thread.
