Install Guide:
Boot into ClockWorkMod recovery by powering on with volume UP, home and power held.
Go to BACKUP and run a backup
Once this is done go to "advanced" then do "wipe dalvik's cache".
Now you need to go "Install Zip from SD" find "Docs_v1.0-hypertheme_Villain 1.4.zip"
Once complete you can reboot the phone, you will be on VillainRom with docs theme..
even if you dont like it, it would hurt my thanks to rise!....xD
Warning: Some mods for VRom arent compatible....that means, if you flash another circle battery mod on top of my theme, my theme will dissappear...why?, cause you are flashing a new themed framework-res.apk.....same goes to other tweaks as prevent full charge notification or any other tweaks that overwrites one of the .apks provided here.....
its only logical that was happening, just wanted to let you guys be aware...
if enough of you guys want me to include mods (like the ones mentioned above), ask nicely, and I surely will, as it involves much of my free time to do it on my very old pc....
Here is a little dirty guide if you want to port the theme to an unsupported build
Just make sure build is using same release as the ones supported (KG2, KG3, etc)
and that it is deodexed..... at least the apks your want to port (framework-res.apk and systemui.apk)
the build must not be heavily hacked (like Cognition) who adds another option to quicksettings for example.
Since Villain is as close to stock as it can get, we could use it as a base. All is different on Villain ROM from stock is its signature (META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml)
Main theme is based on two apks:
framework-res.apk (located on /system/framework)
SystemUI.apk (located on /system/app)
the rest of the files included on my theme are for adblocking, bootanimation, theming of widgets, etc....
so lets start with these ones shall we.....
straight to the point
Open up both apks using 7zip (mine and the one you want to be themed)......(dont extract just open them up side by side)
and copy from the original apk from the build you are on the following files into the already themed apk (villain´s from my theme), just drag and drop.....
META-INF folder
AndroidManifest.xml
then zipalign using this the zipopt_all attachment below......
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5235458&postcount=46
then use this flashable zip file as a template (doc´s test).....drop SystemUI.apk into /system/app and framework-res.apk into /system/framework...find it on the attachment below.
then nandroid backup
then flash it.......good luck!
if it works.....then please....SHARE!!
THANKS.
Any themes for Lite'ning rom?
I guess i'll have to switch to VillainROM 1.4 for themes..
VillainROM is great only thing missing is Screen Off animation and over scroll and call record function if i get those in VillainROM i'd happily shift to VillainROM.
Hold on..ill get back to you......Litening is already themed....anyhow...this theme adds CRT....call recording function you flash on VRtweaks......uploading and taking screenshots...hold on.
Cognition ROM support, please?
I loce this kind of theme.
I'll wait for overscroll to flash.
Keep on the good work...
I will add support to other roms....but.....since Villain uses stock I thought I will start there first.....Cognition is very appealing and I really like the OP...lol..
I will, with help of a tester.....port it to cognition......remember im not a themer...if anyone wants to take over the theme, I will give him sources as long as theme stays loyal to original....

Most of that is already in VRTweaks.
And the other features are part of the themed files anyway, so the theme would bring them.
Nice to see another theme

I did not try VRTweaks.
flashing VillainROM 1.4 ASAP then will try VRTweaks.
Currently using MIUI rom
thanks for letting me use your work for overscroll glow, downloading now
Sure mate.....whatever u need given proper credits....
I think you have to remove the V1.1 because the overscroll make some apps FC's, I will download V1.0 if the only difference is overscroll, but I love the notification toggle buttons, no more text only buttons, that is how it should be!
pls tell me which apps FC so I can test....I made the hack from source and havent run into any FC....
and yes, only diff is overscroll.......anyhow....am fully testing it, no FC so far....believe, first FC I will be the one taking it down...lol

Dialer One for example, it works without the overscroll
here you have explanation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14872550&postcount=42
will try now...although i dont use it....will report....hold on a min, let me install it
edit: Correct, Dialer One crashes, and logcat points to file I modded, although, I dont think this error is exclusive to the devices, users on SGS must be getting that crash too. its not a FC as android doesnt kill the app, its Dialer one crashing itself for not finding correct sources.....is there any other app that FC's?, is this crash happening too on builds <KF2?
Excellent work doctorcete!
Going to download and test now ill let you know how it goes. Loved your work on the fading menus on the HD2 cant believe there on my SGS2 now
All we need now is a hyperdroid rom on the SGS2 and we'll be complete
yeah.....consider the theme as the hyperdroid begginings for the s2....although you should know that hyperdroid is all about aosp and cm7.......fading animations and keyboard ported from the hd2 looks really nice on s2...
Jep....whatsapp crashes too...but logcat now its pointing to the exact file and line that gives the error..........switching to linux and taking a look at that damn file...lets see what it can be done
jep I can see the error on the smali file....
problem is, comparing both archives (bouncing and overscrolling sources) they are totally different, in fact, on our version adds a couple of more smali files and beisdes that, those lines that point to rashes are because those files that are pointing are totally inexistent on our jar file, our jar file has more lines, therefore they are numbered different.........basically code is diff, and, unless someone know a way to automate the process....its very difficult to port.....
Sadly im removing overscroll too....sorry

Notes from _Garry_:
Version: c01
Install Type: flashable zip files via CWM
How to install: copy file in your internal card and flash it.
Important Info: before flashing create backup!!
Release Info:
I have included the inverted slim-Gapps in download file, so you wont have to do it. The theme is based on v5.9.1 from original file, but i didnt include everything, because I thought that it has to run smooth before i transform it to run on "our ThemeEngine" and add more themed apps.
Themers might want to look at framework-res.apk and SystemUi.apk
I added:
::custom battery icons incl charging are supportet, just change the icons
::xml files for battery
::xmls from framework-res should compile (apktool) correct when changing colors
Support:
- _Garry_ - in this thread only (not in Slim ICS main)!
Thanks! Greetings from switzerland.

Not sure why you put in the off images in mine as they're not touched in the first place so no need to replace them which is why I never included them. VRtheme only edits the files you include just in case you weren't aware so people can comfortably use mine as there's no difference. Been using it for ages to theme so wouldn't share if it wasn't fine.

My mods - overwrite the off images also - so they are needed to revert back to stock toggles or yours!

Hi
Once installed through CWM does is this theme added to the Theme section of the settings, or does it simply overwrite the current theme with no failback possible (except restore) ?
Thx

Simple solution : nandroid backup (full backup) before flashing. With a nandroid you have the best failback! Keep in mind - its an early version!

If i understand Garry correct - integration in theme engine is coming later. Let's testdrive it first!

It just overrides the current theme it's not a theme manager theme yet, he's still looking at that.
Yeup, i'm allready lookin into it for "our" theme engine.
Main problem is the bootloop and i still try to figure out which part is causing it.
Mean while i will release/update the cwm flash version.

(I am going to start rearranging files to clean up my drop box account. If you attempt to download one of my mods and the link is bad, please let me know. I will moving things to another location.)
On a side note, please remember that Matthew, Zuba, and myself, along with anyone else posting their work, do this in spare time. Some of us have more than others. We have lives too, families, jobs, other hobbies. We will try our best to fill requests, but I ask that you have patience with us. Thanks for appreciating the things we do.

FAQ
Please read before posting questions, and check back periodically as this section may grow in time.
Q. Will this work on any rom?
A. No guarantees but it should work on any AOSP rom. If you have issues it may be that your rom uses a different folder for the images we have modded. The fix is simple, we just have to add the folder and copy the images. This is true of other devices as well. These mods work with tablets too, as long as the proper folders are included. If you try one and it doesn't work, let us know and we can try to make it compatible with your device.
Q. Will this work on other devices?
A. Again, no guarantees but it should work on any phone running an AOSP rom. I have seen the lock rings work on an s3 personally, and users here have used these on the GNex, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and others. See the previous question for more info.
Q. Why don't these mods work with themes?
A. These mods replace images within system apps. Themes do not replace those images. What a theme does basically is redirect the request for that image to its image. So for example, the lock ring, could be named "ic_lock" for instance. Our mods replace that image with another of the same name. But a theme says anytime the request for ic_lock is made, use "themedlock" instead. So regardless of what image is named "ic_lock", themes tell the device to use "themedlock" in place of "ic_lock".
Note: Some mods may work with some themes. It depends on the theme. But there is nothing we can do at this time to make them work if they don't.
Q. Will this work on 4.3
A. Yes
Q. How do I make this work on a stock rom?
A. You need to use a zip to update edify. There are zips for stock based roms you can find by searching, but thanks to Sakis, we now know you can use other zips too. He has successfully used another flashable soft key zip to update edify. I will link to the thread where you can find it below. Thanks to ZubaZ for the find. Get the flashable zip, not the, zipthemer zip. Use it to update edify then follow the instructions in the OP. Also, be sure to thank the OP in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26458518
GNex users can use this stock zip: http://d-h.st/rFh. Thank @matthew0776 for posting this.
You can also try a Gapps or kernel zip.
Halo mods not working?
If your rom has an option to change the color of Halo then I believe that is the issue. The image was named halo_bg, now it is halo(color)_bg. All you need to do is unzip the mod, change the name, rezip, and rebuild the update with zipthemer. All of that can be done with es file explorer or similar apps. Yes, it can, I build almost all my mods from my phone. Don't argue, k.

ADDED ATOM LOCKSCREEN ICON TO OP >enjoi
Do you still have to go into Rom settings and choose the custom nav icon? I did the zip theme successfully ( I know I'm doing it right because I have a custom lock icon, a root box one, and that sticks). I can't find your home key after for my custom icon to choose from ROM settings... I have a soft keys folder but not there.
Not that it should matter but I'm currently running root box....
Use the soft key zip with zip themer as well as soon as u flash the update zip in recovery and reboot.... Wala keys should be other without going into any ROM settings. Unless ur pushing them manually..? The PNG should be in the soft key zip 100%

I know I'm using zip themer right because I can change my lock screen icon with that method no problem. No such luck with the home button icon. I'm guessing its being over ridden by a theme...if so....may want to mention that in OP to help future users.
Thank you for your help
Yep....its there with system default theme applied. Unfortunately.... I can't live without themes....

Hey everyone - it's me again. This is the continuation of what I started here, now based on the semi-recent 4.1.2 UVBMB4 OTA (2.0-2.1) and then the even more recent 4.1.2 UVBMD1 OTA (2.2+) T-Mobile pushed out for the T889. In other words - this is a stock modified T-Mobile rom! This took some time to get together as it had to be more or less reworked from scratch (though much of the 4.1.1 tinkering translated decently to 4.1.2 thankfully!), but on the upside I'm pretty happy with how things have turned out.
It should be noted that this is still a work in progress, but as this now embodies all that was 1.5/1.6 plus a few new goodies I feel enough is done to warrant it being posted - that way others (assuming others give it a shot) can let me know if things don't work or if any oddities come up. Also feel free to comment on how this might improve or if I've gone about anything in a not-so-smart way or if there is anything you would like to see (or wish wasn't there) - I can't promise I'll do anything about it, but such requests keep me motivated and learning, and thats been the driving force behind my tinkering since it began really
[size=+2]I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS (GOOD OR BAD) AS A RESULT OF FLASHING OR ATTEMPTING TO FLASH WHAT IS POSTED HERE![/size]
[size=+2]CWM/TWRP Installation instructions[/size]:
THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!
Wut?!? Change!?! NOO!!!!
Seriously, it'll be ok. This has been an idea that has been festering in me for a bit, but the end result leaves two approaches that lead to the same result. The most noticeable result is - after an initial step - you will no longer need to go through aroma and reselect options when reinstalling. This should be a boon to those that enjoy flashing this and that, as the process of reinstalling this will now be much faster. [size=+1]NOTE:[/size] Unless you use the default approach you will need to edit/redo this process for each update to make sure all new/edited options are up-to-date!
A complete explanation of the three approaches and how to utilize them can be found in this post, but for the sake of brevity and simplicity I am going to focus on the approach most fitting to the general (or new-to-flashing) user.
Before getting into that though, remember that the usual rules still apply:
- While very much stable in my experience you should be cautious whenever you flash. Make sure to wipe data/factory reset to avoid issues.
- I highly recommend wiping data and then flashing the T889UVBMD1 ODIN file if you haven't yet (which you can get via kies or from here - search for T889 and grab the most recent 4.1.2 one - registration on the site is required, but is also free) before getting started with any of this. This is just a recommendation - not a requirement - and yes, that means you will have to reflash a custom recovery once you've flashed the ODIN file.
- Tweaked needs to be flashed in CWM/TWRP recovery - so this should of course imply that you will need to already have such things in place if you are interested in giving this a try. For what its worth - I have been using TWRP for quite a long time on the Note2 and have been quite happy with the results.
[size=+1]THE SUPER SIMPLE SAFE APPROACH[/size]
If you don't care much for the underpinnings of it all, then this is all you really need to know to install Tweaked 2.x:
- Download TWO zip files from the downloads post
--- The basic approach prepare install zip
--- The main Note II UVBMD1 Tweaked... zip
- Boot into CWM/TWRP recovery (if not already there)
- Recommended to wipe data/factory reset in CWM/TWRP recovery
- FIRST flash the basic approach prepare install zip
--- This is an aroma-style interface where you choose from install options
- THEN without rebooting flash the main Note II UVBMD1 Tweaked... zip
- Nod in approval that while different the process was still easy
[size=+1]Installation Video[/size]
Thanks to Warrior1975 there is now a video that walks through the above installation process using the super simple safe basic install approach. Make sure to thank him - this is very much appreciated!!
[size=+1]CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEOhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-ah0L0Ab3whttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-ah0L0Ab3w[/size]
----------------------------------
Just for the sake of comparison, below is what I would consider the general fits-whatever-install-approach-you-chose installation instructions:
[size=+1]THE GENERAL APPROACH[/size]
- Backup your current setup/data
- Recommended to wipe data and flash stock UVBMD1 ODIN file - if so, flash custom recovery afterwards
- Decide which install route (basic/advanced/default) is best for you
- Download the main installer and put it on your internal/external sdcard
- If you decided on the advanced or basic install route, download relevant zip for said approach
- If you decided on advanced, set up the file(s) and place them on internal/external sdcard as instructed
- If you decided on basic, place zip on your internal/external sdcard
- Boot into CWM/TWRP recovery (if not already there)
- Recommended to wipe data/factory reset in CWM/TWRP recovery
- If you decided on basic, flash the basic installer zip
- Finally, select and install the main installer .zip you put on your sdcard
[size=+2]SCREENSHOTS[/size]
While the theme is pretty much stock, I figured I would throw in a few screenshots that show a few minor things. Note that these were taken after I messed around with a few TSM Parts options - I even updated one or two of them to reflect a few changes since 2.0 was first posted If you want to see the screenshots just click the "CLICK TO SHOW CONTENT" button!
[size=+2]Miscellaneous Notes[/size]:
- [size=+1]REMEMBER -[/size] Regardless of what install approach you use you can always use the Modificatinator to un/re/do virtually [size=+1]ANY[/size] of the options available to you in the main install! No need to reflash the whole rom!
Even if you don't use it right away, make sure to GRAB THE MODIFICATINATOR HERE NOW so you have it if you want it later!!
- Like I said, the full install is no longer aroma-based but the modificatinator is as is the zip relevant to the basic approach, so make sure to thank amarullz for the awesome work!
- Updates that come after the initial 2.0 release MAY also have a flash-update-only option via the included GooManager apk - it just depends on whether the underlying build changed, like it did between Tweaked 2.1 and 2.2. [size=+1]NOTE:[/size] Depending on what is updated, the OTA may break things if you are themed! I will try to avoid this as much as possible, but all it takes is a minor edit to a framework-res.apk string (for example) to necessitate an overwriting of a file typically quite important for themers (resources.arsc) - just be mindful of this please
- As the Note2 is privy to a number of ROMs and kernels, for the sake of simplicity I have included the unaugmented UVBMD1 stock kernel, but then for the sake of variety there are other kernel options one can select as well - including a kernel called PBJ by imnuts and one called trinity by morfic.
- This is still pretty much an unthemed rom (if any would like to change this PLEASE let me know - a themer I am not!). There are a few changes done in SystemUI (the pulldown in particular) and framework-res (to allow for system-wide transparency options) - and the hope behind those changes (all thanks to Alexia Whitehurst) was theme work would then be easier as a result. Even so, this is primarily UVBMD1 stock-themed - and this is reflective of the thinking behind the whole setup as being stock with some extra options. For those that like flashing various mods and what not, be wary - unless it specifies that it was made to work with Tweaked it likely will not.
[size=+2]Download links can be found further down.[/size]
Let me know if there are any suggestions/issues/etc. - also, feel free to stop by the IRC channel Alexia Whitehurst was so kind to make for all of this on freenode - #tweaked. If you don't have an IRC client you can always use their webchat interface here. Happy flashing!
[size=+2]Info on custom install options can be found during aroma interactions or in the installation instructions zip![/size]

Good! As time goes on there are an increasing number of themes made SPECIFIC FOR TWEAKED! This is good, as while there are a number of themes out there that will partly work these ones will completely work!
I will update this list as new ones come out, so make sure to check back from time to time! Also - MAKE SURE TO THANK THEM! There aren't many who have done this, so make sure they know the work is appreciated!
[size=+1]Themes for Tweaked[/size]
- Echo by Alexea Whitehurst
- Motomoto00/Alexander Mish-Mash is an AMAZING aroma-based port of the themes originally by motomoto00 and Alexander respectively that have been expertly tied together with some original work by Alexea Whitehurst

[size=+2]FAQ[/size]
Q: What the hell is TSMParts (new option in Settings menu)?
A: A huge slew of mods and tweaks originally put together by the original members of TSM and inspired by impressive works of numerous others - the TSMParts interface acts as a control for all of the customizable fun available. There are a large number of options there - so make sure to check them all out!
Q: TSMParts is asking for superuser access now?!?
A: Yep - there are two options in particular in Miscellaneous settings that need it, so make sure you grant it!
Q: I'm having overlap issues with statusbar icons and center clock - what should I do?
A: Yeah - things may overlap, so you will have to either change settings to avoid the issue or just deal with it.
Q: I set a statusbar icon to hide, but it's still there. What gives?
A: The statusbar icon tweaks may require a little effort on your part for changes to take effect. All changes can be elicited with a reboot/hotboot, BUT for most there are other ways:
-- Bluetooth/vibrate-silent/alarm icons/ime -- just change their state (on/off or vibrate/sound, etc)
-- No sim -- if the notification is already active you will need to reboot/hotboot to hide it
Q: How does this One Hand toggle work?
A: The toggle, when on, forces ALL one-hand options to be selected. When off, it reverts the settings to WHATEVER they were before the toggle was turned on. This is still a work in progress, but it's a start. That being said - I'm open to suggestions on how to improve it
Q: Why does the alarm icon on the statusbar/lockscreen go away randomly when using the AOSP Clock option?
A: This seems to be a bug within the 4.2.2 AOSP Deskclock apk itself. I went poking around to see if I could figure out why but turned up nothing, so it is what it is unfortunately. Rest assured though - even though the icon might not show, the alarm WILL go off when set!
Q: I keep getting messages saying FlashBarService had to close - WHY YOU MAKE BREAK ON THIS!?!
A: I have tried real hard to chase this down but if you see this than perhaps I came up short. While I am unsure of the cause it seems the solution that has worked for folks is to wipe app data/cache for FlashBarService.
Q: The toggles in the pulldown are suddenly a weird large size (width) - what gives?
A: This happens sometimes (usually if auto-rotate is enabled) - all you need to do to "reset" the size of the toggles is enable auto-rotate, then go into an app that allows for rotation and ...well, rotate. Rotate back and check the pulldown - all should be well once again.
Q: CRT animation/volume wake don't work quite right... why?
A: Both of these features require a kernel that supports them to fully work.
Q: When I select Edit from the pulldown after taking a screenshot I get a FC - wth?
A: This happens if you don't have Paper Artist installed. Using whatever means you feel most comfortable with you just need to get PaperArtist.apk back into /system/app.
Q: Why are my widgets all screwed up?
A: Most likely because you are using a non 4x4 launcher - I have yet to come up with a perfect solution. If widgets are your thing - than so is the 4x4 launcher
Q: When I enable/disable navbar my wallpaper goes away?!?
A: Getting that to change without rebooting requires some other things to be killed and restarted, and there is some variability in how long that takes. It shouldn't be more than a few seconds most of the time though - the wallpaper will reappear.
Q: I tried flashing 2.x, and it ignored all my choices from the previous version... WHY?!!
A: With new versions come new options, and to assure folks are using an install.prop that is current with the version of the rom that is being flashed, it does a quick version check. If it doesn't match what is expected based on the rom version being flashed, it will overwrite your file with the default, but it will first make a backup of your original for reference. Make sure to edit your file or run the updated basic installer before flashing new full versions and you should be fine
Q: I took the OTA via GooManager and now my phone/theme is all messed up! WHAT DID YOU DO?!?
A: Most likely what I did was update something in framework-res or SystemUI that required a new resources.arsc file - a variety of theme stuff tends to go in in the things contained in that file, so by overwriting it with my stock-based edits it will most definitely cause issues, aesthetic or otherwise. Being unthemed and taking the OTA will offer you the best chance of a problem-free update.
Q: Why isn't the accurate data icon mod working!!?!
A: The only time that mod shows an effect is when you are on the T-Mobile network - I don't believe other networks will see a change in data icon behavior.
Q: I just did a fresh install and I can't get my signal bars back - WHY DO YOU HATE ME?!?
A: This seems to be linked to connecting to wifi during the initial setup phase after a /data wipe. I have been unable to recreate this, but going into recovery and wiping /data again should fix it up for you. If it doesn't, just reflash the rom (I would wipe /data again) and avoid connecting to wifi during the initial setup. You should be good to go after that point
Q: What is this LMT thing? How do you use it?
A: You need to check out noname81's thread here for info on that!
Q: After enabling/disabling the onscreen nav keys, the pulldown goes down too far/not all the way... WHY DO YOU BREAK THINGS!!?!
A: This happens and it's completely normal - all you need to do to fix it is open pretty much ANY app. Things will then readjust and all will be well again
Q: I just flashed the rom and I can't connect to Hangouts...?!?
A: I've noticed this after a data wipe as well - it just needs a little time (and maybe a reboot), but it seems to not connect until all the syncing is done.
Q: Why can't I resize my popupbrowser?!
A: You can, just differently now. You need to press and hold the bottom right corner of the popupbrowser to resize - this is a stock feature actually.
Q: Why can't I sync with my Samsung account?!?
A: Thanks to investigations by Kal-El7 - the confirmed means to achieve this is by selecting BOTH the SamsungApps AND the Cloud options at install (or after the fact via the Modificatinator of course).
Q: Where the hell are the extra stock toggles?!
A: Go into TSMParts > Statusbar settings, select to use the stock toggles, and then click on Stock toggle reset.
Q: Where can I find information on the kernels?
A: Info on PBJ can be found here, and info on trinity can be found here.
Q: Why don't you mention blah blah blah in your FAQ? It would have helped me a lot!
A: My bad - PM me anything you think should be added to this that would be helpful for the general user base!
[size=+2]How to custom install Tweaked 2.x[/size]
As I said, there are really three approaches to installing Tweaked 2.x:
[size=+2]----- DEFAULT -----[/size]
This is the approach used when one of two things has happened:
- 1) There was no preparation done or found as far as selecting options (i.e. no install.prop found where it should be on internal/external sdcard)
- 2) You are flashing an updated version of the main installer and failed to update your install.prop. Note that in this case your original install.prop can still be found, it just has a .bak added to the end of the file name.
This approach installs a very minimal and basic set of options that harken back to the earlier days of the rom when I used a full aroma main install interface and offered a "default install" option.
When you flash the main installer zip as-is and it will give you a default setup after installation (the equivalent of the default install options in aroma) - at which point you can then reboot into recovery and flash the modificatinator (see downloads post here) - which is still aroma-based.
[size=+2]NOTE:[/size] For the next two approaches please be aware that the process should be redone with each new version to make sure you have access to all available options!
I keep changes to these files minimal, but changes do occur, so make sure to stay up-to-date with the version you are flashing, as otherise you will likely get the default install!
[size=+2]ALSO -[/size] with these approaches you can place the TweakedInstall directory on either the internal or external sdcard. That being said, in general if you have a TweakedInstall directory on BOTH your external AND internal sdcard, the files in the external sdcard directory will be chosen over those in the internal sdcard directory. Furthermore - it is VERY important that you DO NOT RENAME ANY OF THE FILES OR THE DIRECTORY! If you do you will likely get a default install when flashing the main installer (not the worst thing, but still).
[size=+2]----- BASIC -----[/size]
This is the approach that is highlighted in the "SUPER SIMPLE SAFE APPROACH" in the first post. This approach utilizes the aroma installer, but it doesn't actually install anything. Instead, it creates and correctly places one of the files referenced in the advanced approach for you. On the surface it will appear quite similar to what you have seen from me in the past regarding aroma, but trust me nothing is being flashed (outside of one file being written to internal/external sdcard). You only need to do this once, unless you later decide you want to change your setup or you are flashing a new version of Tweaked.
Again - THIS DOES NOT FLASH TWEAKED!
[size=+1]Basic Approach Installation Video[/size]
Thanks to Warrior1975 there is now a video that walks through the basic install approach. Make sure to thank him - this is very much appreciated!!
[size=+1]CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEOhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-ah0L0Ab3whttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-ah0L0Ab3w[/size]
[size=+2]----- ADVANCED -----[/size]
This approach requires changes you will have to do, and therefore needs a little reading and preparing ahead of time. In order to help things along, I've put together a zip file (see downloads post here) with instructions and needed files - make sure to read the... well, the README! The contents of that readme file are below:
--- From the READMEFIRST-INSTRUCTIONS.txt in the Tweaked.2.x.AdvancedInstallInfo.zip file ---
[size=+1]HOW TO CUSTOM INSTALL USING ADVANCED APPROACH:[/size]
1) Decide if you will be editing text files on the computer or the phone
---- regardless of where you do this, the result must go in a specific directory on your internal/external sdcard (see below)
---- if you use a computer to edit, make sure it uses the Unix-style end-of-line character (you can use Notepad++ on a PC)
******** THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND A SOURCE FOR SIMPLE MISTAKES - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! ********
2) Extract the TweakedInstall folder
---- Inside are three files - the main one of interest is install.prop
3) Open install.prop and read the instructions
---- it is on this file you select options
---- this is similar in idea to how it was done in aroma
---- ALL you are doing with this is changing the numbers that come after the = signs
---- DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE! ONLY NUMBERS!
---- Follow the instructions for what each number means for each choice
4) Complete any other OPTIONAL file edits (see Tweaked OP for more info on this)
5) Make sure the directory along with your newly-edited files are moved to your sdcard if not already
IMPORTANT: THIS DIRECTORY HAS TO BE AT THE ROOT OF YOUR SDCARD (INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL)!!
IMPORTANT: THE NAME OF THIS DIRECTORY MUST NOT CHANGE!!
IMPORTANT: YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
6) Boot into recovery and flash the main installer zip
[size=+1]TAKE HOME:[/size]
The edited text file(s) being kept in the TweakedInstall directory on your sdcard will make it so
you won't need to do any choosing the next time you want to flash the main installer. You can always
come back to or reflash Tweaked exactly how you originally set it up with no more extra effort!
--- End READMEFIRST-INSTRUCTIONS.txt -
The hope is that these instructions are as simple but as thorough as possible for those wanting to embark on the advanced approach. That being said there is one more point I want to elaborate on that goes beyond those included instructions, and it is relevant for users of both the Basic and Advanced approaches.
Want to remove things in the "base" rom
[size=+1]NOTE[/size]: THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL
There are certain apks that I have kept included as unalterable-by-custom-installation-options. For those that are comfortable and (hopefully) knowledgeable, there is now a way to quickly and easily "debloat" the rom at the time of installation beyond what I have done as a "base" or default. It requires using the applist file in combination with information on what is standard included from the baseappslist.txt file - both of which can be found in the Tweaked.2.0.AdvancedInstallInfo.zip file. It is this applist file that is being vaguely referred to in step 4 of the advanced approach instructions.
- The baseappslist.txt lists out the apk name of every apk that I include as part of the "base" of Tweaked. If after scouring the list you end up finding one or a few apks that you don't want as part of your install, copy the apk name(s) EXACTLY from the baseappslist.txt file and paste/transfer that information in to the applist file - ONE APK NAME PER LINE. This applist file needs to go in the same directory as your edited install.prop file - i.e. the TweakedInstall directory that is at the root of your int/ext sdcard. For the more visual in the crowd, here is an example of what the applist file should look like:
Code:
SomeApkName.apk
AnotherApkName.apk
YetAnother.apk
- In order for this applist to be read by the installer, one last step has to be completed within the install.prop. There is an entry called dangertweaks that is default set to =0. If you want applist to be read (i.e. you want to remove the apks that are listed in applist), you need to set dangertweaks=1. For users of the basic approach, there is a similarly named option you can select within aroma (it's the one labeled as DANGEROUS).
- You should note the variable name I use there - dangertweaks. That's because this CAN ROYALLY SCREW UP YOUR PHONE!! This is an extra option for those that know a thing or two about what can and can't be excluded from a rom/system - this is NOT a beginners tool! USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

WHAT?!? Okay, to be fair I did nothing for this, but instead @psycho4us4 put together a non-rom-specific guide on how to set up things using xposed framework to make this happen. It took a lot of tinker time to get it all together, and even more to write up and post the incredibly thorough guide that can be found here - so if you want to be able to do something similar to the below image... you should check it out!!

Just installed RC5, guess will download and install the official 2.0.
Got a little scare, with RC5. I always full wipe between builds. Flashed RC5, reboot and then Mod2.0.(yeah, too lazy to write the full name)
For me the assert check caused a restart on twrp so after another full wipe, started Mod2.0 without the assert check.
Everything perfect selecting Aroma options, but when finished and rebooted got stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note II text screen.
No boot animation for about 8 long minutes, so battery pull and started over.
This time selected no assert check and had no issues on Aroma, then rebooted normally with no issues.
ROM is fast and smooth.
Thanks again for this awesome ROM!
Right arm!! Quick question though. If this is similar to RC downloads, is there an option to disable or at least mask the system wide transparency? It makes some text difficult to read. Thank you, and downloading!
I now have a little project for this weekend
Is there a way to backup my TSM parts settings from 1.6 ?

Yeah it's an option - you can choose 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100.
Quick note - realized I didn't update one thing making cwm-based installs not work quite how I wanted. I'm uploading the fix now, so hold off on downloading. Sorry folks!

Hmm... no, I don't believe so, plus I changed a few things in TSMParts so that wouldn't be a great idea - sorry!
In other news - links are now good to go Sorry about the fuss there, not the best way to get things started lol
To those using CWM - PLEASE let me know if there are any issues, but all should (in theory) be well now. Really if anyone has any issues let me know

You Can Find HOLO BLUE THEME Screenshots Here!!!
Vr Theme Zip to change the MAIN BG Image
Changing Background Images:
Check out the AWESOME thread put together by our new Team Darksyde members @jimwick and @parkerj7uc
VRThemez
Also here is a Master Background Changer you can use to change all backgrounds at once! Please follow the directions in the VRThemez thread or the spoiler tab below.
Ramer said:
If you're not 100% confident in how to change the background images, then use a PC as it's much easier.
These are the paths to unzip the files, locate the graphic and change. When you re-save them, always store, don't compress:
Custom Full Screen CallerID:
Location in zip: vrthemesystemappLegacyInCallUILegacyInCallUI.apkresdrawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi
Put any 1080x1920 png image. Rename it to picture_unknown.png
Main background image:
Location in zip: vrtheme>system>framework>framework-res.apk>res>drawable-xxhdpi
Put any 1080x1920 png. Rename to darksyde.png
Main Dialer Background:
Location in zip: vrtheme>system>priv-app>SecContacts_Phone_FLAGSHIP_USA>SecContacts_Pho ne_FLAGSHIP_USA.apk>res>drawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi
Put any 1080x1920 png. Rename to darksyde2.png
Pulldown Background:
Location in zip: vrtheme>system>priv-app>SystemUI.>SystemUI.apk>res>drawable-xxhdpi
Put any 1080x1920 png. Rename to darksyde3.png
If you don't have an image resizing/converting program for a PC, I always use this: http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
This is the link to the three files that are changable. Use them as templates to swap out images.
Thanks to @willowmaker420, @JoeyDuran and @tdunham for providing these files. I've renamed some of them just for clearer reference to what they are and I take zero credit for any of the work.
