Performance decreased.. - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I had 4.0.2.A.0.42,baseband 64 with v15 Doomkernel and v6 supercharger U9RC4(set option 6) my phone was running very good bt has batt drain
Now im using v18 Fix1 Doomkernel and baseband 36..my phone's performance decreased..and still the same batt drain when using the phone..
Does anyone have the same prob?is it related to baseband?or the new kernel?or maybe should I unsupercharge then resupercharge?
Thank you

How to solve battery drain problem in Ics Beta

Hi guys. Im using Ics beta with Ka11 rom. But battery drains fast. How can i solve this problem ??

Helps if u put what kernel your using? I think some still don't have deep sleep... mine hasn't I'm on doom kernel with oc
Sent from my R800i using XDA
charge to 100% then go to cwm and wipe battery stats
There is some info I saw saying underclocking whilst screen off helps, but be careful because if you get it wrong your screen won't come back on.

Wifi is stopping deep sleep afaik. Switch off wifi when you're not using it
i use doomkernel v11 oc to 1.2ghz. and im not use my play for call just gaming and internet.off the wifi and on the plane mode and set profie in setcpu when screen off set to powersave governor.i left it at night and the battery still at the same % in the morning.
hmm. i want undervolting but i cant do that. how can i do that. which settings ? and, what's the best Cpu governor. I dont know what is ondemand, powersave etc. And i set CPU Profile to Min 134 Max 806. And rom is still Smooth. my wifi is closing but still battery drains fast.

For undervolting try IncrediControl. Best CPU governor? Depends on you but personally I like smartass v2 . BTW I'm using KA11 ICS Rom with DooMKernel and my battery life is quite good
The way to get best battery life on ICS Beta is to install DooMLoRDs Advanced Stock kernel. This has fully working deep sleep, as it uses the stock Sony kernel, but also has CWM, root etc.
That's the only kernel I recommend at the moment, until we get the newer kernel sources.
Also use SetCPU or some other app to underclock when your screen is off.

When not on wifi its like im not using any battery at all (maybe max is -1% battery level per hour.
I am overclocked at 1.4ghz max and min is 576mhz (ondemand governor) and I use Sytem Tuner (the best all in one system tweaker for me ). I set my screen off behavior to 921mhz conservative governor (this will underclock my phone while im not using it). My read/write cache is 6144mb. I use Juicedefender and set it to advanced mode and let it underclock my phone when idle as well. Im using .62 firmware and JokaWild Rom v2.5 with Xperia S Package. My kernel is Doomlord's kernel v11 and I do not have any battery issues. I always have a good and not corrupted nandroid backup as well as Titanium backup in case my phone gets crazy.

Underclocking.

How low can be processor clock on Play? I have 364-576mHz (when battery 100-20%) and 364-460mHz (when <20%) and no lags.
Screen off = always 364-576mHz.
Gaming = 800-1200mHz.
Can it be lower?
Sent using r800i with DoomKernel v14 (576mHz/1.21gHz)
Depends if your doing anythig, i have it at 122-346 with screen off. It can go as low as you want, it will just be sluggish.

Im asking couse i heard that if clock on screen off is too low phone has problems with weaking up.

increasing priority app

Hi, it is possible to increase the priority of an app/process in android ICS? because some app stop running when play a game like blood and glory for example. And show restaring on status, but never restarting. On system process this not happen. Its possible make some app "hard to kill"? thanks

With the new firmware .587 from sony, the stock memory management + swap partition is better than supercharger. I try with and without supercharger and stay on stock.

So... I just bought an Ion

And yes, Im really confused right now. Currently Im on ICS stock rom (6.1.E.1.19), unlocked & rooted, got init.d, supercharger, scripts, ect.
But the battery life doesn't change much for me (14hrs on average use). And most of all, the overheat happens everytime & really fast. I used SetCPU on demand mode to underclock it but didn't solve the problem.
That's why Im considering flashing another custom clean rom that already has all the tweaks, include smartass v3, since I couldn't figure out the deodex thingy. But since there's nothing in the development box, can anyone introduce me some clean ICS roms from other xperia devices that can work on Ion? Jellybean would be preferred.
Thanks
There is only stock rom. I haven't had any hear issues on ICS. I don't use setcpu at all. And that is good battery life

Get juice defender pro set it to customized then set apps to jot use internet that you don't use "disabled " ones you want all the time like Pandora set to enabled screen on and ones you only want if you open them set to enabled.

turning off wifi and 4G when you are not using them can like tipple battery life lol.
Can anyone tell me where to find ROMs for the ion?

We don't have any custom roms with a locked bootloader

[Q] Problem applying Xperia SSpeed kernel v8

Hi guys, I've recently just rooted and unlocked my bootloader not too long ago (approximately 15 minutes ago), but I can't understand why I couldn't flash the custom SSpeed kernel?
This is what happened, I first flashed to the stable 1.96 kernel in case **** happens. Then everything was fine so I proceeded to try flashing the SSpeed kernel V8 using CWM however, after flashing that kernel my screen kept on trying boot up and it eventually just keeps restarting when my Arco S loads to the "SONY" screen.
Did anyone else had this problem before? Mind sharing your solutions or guidance on what exactly should I do?
kernel cpu clock is too high
your cpu clock is too high and your device shuts off to stop your cpu from burning out
flash another kernel

I'm confused. What's the difference with ICS or JB or whatever it is? o.o
Will it screw up my phone's compatibility?
