This is a request to "Nova launcher" for adding an option for hiding apps from the app drawer.
there are many launchers that have this option.
i opened this thread to get support for this option and ask to add it in the next release.
i could choose another launcher but this is the only launcher that goes smooth with ICS (specially galaxy nexus)
thank you all for the support!!!
Nova launcher has a dedicated thread. And u can contact the developer directly.
And since you can only get it from that thread, its clear you know where it is.

Nova Launcher has a thread but it's over 200 pages and over 2000 posts.
there is a way to contact the developer but this post will show the people who are interested in it in one place.
i was looking for people who share same interest not party p**pers.
PS: thank god you're not an admin.
If you look in the nova launcher thread there's a link where you can request and vote for new features. I believe hiding apps has already been requested

Please help me here.
Android is so intimidating. I cannot figure out how to install custom launchers and get the cool icons and slick looking home screens like in the post your screens threads. Can someone provide me with some sort of directions? I appreciate your help.
1) Install a launcher from the market
2) Press the Home button
3) Select the other launcher
4) Profit
I should have been more clear, I want to be able to customize the icons of launchers and what not...some of the home screens look amazing but I just don't know how to go about doing that.
google launcher pro, and launcher pro icons.
do some research... it's really really really easy..
Launcher pro and the rest is usually widgets....and custom icons but yea in the "themes and apps" section there is a thread devoted to custom launcherpro screen shots....and most of then list what widgets/icon set they are u using

It's possible to modify the programm in order to insert the possibility of create folder in the app drawer? In my opinion ADW EX is the best launcher I ever tried except for the lack this feature... Thanks in advance and sorry for my english
He also lack sorting as installed in the app drawer!

From what I saw a long while back, the ADW dev team are working on this feature for a far into to the future release. There was a leak of it. But yeah it's just a leak for now.
Go Launcher EX supports this and so far it's the only one I know that supports the feature (aside from TouchWiz's launcher that is)

fully agreed. I really liked ADW launcher ex but no folder in app drawer makes it very annoying. Now im back to using GL Ex just for the folders
Adw is very old. There are better launchers now.
Try Livehome 2.4.6 if you want something similar to ADW.

I would not categorise three days as old.
Check dxhome, 360 launcher, nemus, balancer, regina, hilauncher. All are released
after ADW. I dont compare but when i look at ADW there are many missing features. Lets say, you cant even hide icons from desktop or appdrawer.
İnstall livehome for example and see with which widgets does it offer, weather, clock, switches, contacts, gmail...
Adw includes none of these.
But its a very speed launcher. I wish livehome widgets work with ADW.
Maybe us ADW users can start a thread in the android genral forum and beg, plea, petition, advocate, plead, even pray for the ability to add folders to the drawer.
This is the only feature that i need and it would be number one.
Please, this is an inquiry and not a just use this app .......
Wait I'm going to start thew thread now, maybe if enough users that want this feature come together, AnderWeb will listen.
I just install ADW launcher, since as a themer this launcher is the iconmask feature (great feature not supported by recent launcher like nova and apex).
Anyway, is there an official thread or something I can post requested and questions ?
All I found were threads on adw theme, etc, but nothing with devs on OP...
Maybe I can ask my questions here waiting for a good guy to link me to the official thread.
I'm on android 4.2 I have 3 questions :
- When I'm in adw settings and try to get back to home pressing the back softkey, it gets stuck at the settings menu screen you guys know why ?
- according to this screenshot I lost my dock icons ? Although I ain't touching anything related to the dock in the settings. Any idea ?
- Concerning gesture, I set the 1 finger swipe down gesture to show/open notification bar, (I previously hide it in the settings) and when I swipe down the notification bar shows but doesn't open. Plus on 4.2, the 2 fingers swipe down gesture open the notification bar showing directly the toggles, but here nothing... :'(
Can you ADW users help me on this one ?
Thanks a bunch folks !
Been a while since I used ADW. Maybe try this thread?

I just bought the prime version of Nova and I like that I can nest folders inside each other in the app drawer but I would really like to also be able to have the same icon in more than one folder at the same time. Sometimes an app fits into more than one category.
Why open new thread if you can ask this in NL thread or PM dev? This is useless
I thought I was posting on the Nova Launcher subforum. I made a mistake.
Hello all,
I am about to get the new moto z play as the seller has not shipped it yet, and in moto z play after coming from htc one m8 with its good sense ui and classic/freestlye layout themes, i will not want to use/keep the stock feel. So I want experts kind help, to tell me some great and importantly lag free launchers/ui paid or free for Moto Z Play ?
Just want to also tell that I will never root it. So no answers on custom roms, etc needed.
Will highly appreciate the answers. It may help many more too!
I love you XDA !!

Some say it is not as good (as it was,) on Marshmallow.
Edit, sadly I just realized wallpapers do not work.
No so, on our phone, albeit has one minor issue not showing all of the bottom row of app drawer icons. So the labels get chopped. For this I have a work around. Folders work, backup and restore and everything else.

Action Launcher 3 Pro is love <3
Stock launcher is actually fairly nice with little to no bloat. That being said I loaded Nova Prime since I had it already and love the tweaks it allows.
I personally use T-UI (called Shell launcher on the Play Store). It is completely different from the stock launcher and is lag free, but unless you like using a linux terminal you will not like it.
Action Launcher 3 Pro, Nova Launcher.
I have paid Nova with a live wallpaper and a white line icon pack to go with my black theme, and even with animations at stock speed and using the transition animations in Nova, it's super smooth.
I've been using Smart Launcher for awhile now.. find it to be really smooth and unbloated

Please forgive me for quoting myself.
I do not think most of you realize what a great launcher this is.
Let me count the ways...
Instantly sort apps by date, most used or name
Migrate browser favs which I have saved to many home pages, in various folders, after a FDR or to others phones. This is part of it's backup feature.
It is fast.
You do have to put up with a black only wallpaper and an app drawer that hides some of is bottom row. Which you can work around by touching the icon to see the whole row.
See pics.
Snip rant...
Action Launcher 3 Pro. Without a doubt one of the best launchers I've used and loaded with features. It makes it easy to replicate a Nougat look too.
Commented about lag in another thread on stock rom. Glad I'm not the only one.
If there is any way to make software fast instead of smooth please lmk. Every animation is off and it still chokes on a single factory widget.

Evie Launcher is the best. I think
Evie Launcher is free and adfree.
No lags... light weight with lot of features. better than default Oreo UI
Nova launcher here for the past 5 years fast smooth and very customisable.
